- Do they always pick the correct weapons back out again? I don't have all my weapons on someone at all times, obviously, so this would only really work if they got their correct ones out again. Does it work like that, or do they just grab something that suits them?
ive actually been doing this naturally as a kind of instinctive thing to do but ive never had crazy amounts of influence, maybe i wasn't ditching everything tho
my way of gaining influence is scavenging houses and barns not in the towns and you find tons of guns then make an outpost there an sell your stuff to the lockers that spawn at that outpost
If i do this will the survivors that sold their guns get the same guns back? How do i get my guns back? Will they patch this along with the update/patch this week? And have fun on your trip up north!

O_O) and an AK-47 custom so yeah check that out love you're bids keep supplying us with awesome videos amazing work man :3
I tried this on my breakdown save with a population of 34 and the only guns they grabbed from the locker were grenade launchers. Explosives + insanely stupid AI is a bad mix

I tried to get influence back by save "stranger in trouble" in breakdown and know what? only get 5 influence. Tried another mission hunting feral and know what? only get the same damn amount of 5 influence. I can't get my damn assault rifle back in locker!
Actually, you lose your influence from the actions of others in the group. Ever notice your influence number drop after someone shoots? It goes down even more if someone mishandles a firearm, and the characters (on their own) raid the inventory locker and get items like food and meds (it's happened to me while playing). The game isn't bad, and after several times, you can beat it. Just wait until you get into playing 'Lifeline'.
Yeah. my point was what is the point? - in other words influence has no actual long term worth as with the items - the game suggests it can be played as a survive as long as you can but isn't actually set up that way. in other words its misleading. It is actually only meant to be played for the missions though I think the initiaql idea was to be a survival the devs realized they can make a second game - which is exactly what they are doing, hopefully this will have the survivor aspect.
Game is in essence broken due to the influence bs. once all resources are blundered eventually you'll be unable to take any items out of storage. It could have been easily fixed by allowing a top level char to take without needing to spend influence. Once you have a garden, workshop & storage/refrigeration etc you can survive indefinitely but with the influence system you'll be reduced to fist fighting. How did Undead Labs not see this? the only fix is to follow this vids suggestion/workaround.
