The fact that I got to play this game after 8 years later... Man it's such a long ride. I was a kid when I wanted to play this and I had to wait and wait because I have financial issue and few days ago I got to play the game with my own money that I have and you know, I'm not even regret buying the game it's very enjoyable for me. I'm very grateful that I'm still alive

One thing I love in this game, is being able to put stuff in the trunk of a vehicle. It's very helpful.

How do u get a mortar for tower
My tip for starters (at the church) is build a workshop beside the med bay, and sleeping quarters at the top right slot. Food is easy enough to come by so you can simply loot those supplies and workshop is good for maintaining your melee weapons when they are damaged and also to repair your cars. You need the sleeping quarters so that you can switch to other characters when your character gets tired. I usually dont set up gardens you'd be better off with a kitchen and a library which I have instead at the warehouse

I’m confused about your comment about oil for heat and cars. There is a fuel resource, but it’s only for making things like bombs.

Thank you for your help. I wanted a state of decay 2 copy, went to gamestop and got a disc container labeled state of decay 2, and 1 was in it instead. Parents decided that was that, and “what’s the big deal if it’s 1 instead of 2?” So now I’m stuck with this. This helped a lot.

And still be didn't say about the cars inventory, yes indeed the vehicles have invetory space, you can use it when you're outside the car and inside I think.
The old version dont have it
I’ve just started playing this game after playing state of decay 2 for ages. Took me ages to find this game. Feels much harder to follow what is going on. The game mechanics seem much deeper. The characters having journals, etc and the extra bits of detail like seeing the characters eat their food. Saw one dude eat an apple to recover stamina. Like how you have to gain influence within the group and prove yourself and earn your place and how your character will avoid hogging supplies and will think about the NPCs in the group. This game is more detailed than the sequel in many ways just like how GTA4 had extra levels of detail missing from it’s sequel.

Oh I almost forgot. I should equip my survivors with a few weapons. But how do i access the inventory of regular survivors? Because I need to switch to that character first, don't I?

Don't be scared of unequipping damaged weapons. The unarmed attack is stronger than you think, but it locks you in place and you can only kill one zed at a time with it. As long as you've got a gun to thin the herd, going melee-less is a perfectly viable option if your current one is heavily damaged or if you dont want to bring one to make room for more supplies.

Yes I really want help playing because I am doing bad I chose the bad house wasted most of my materials all of my characters died except one and I am thinking about restarting what do you think I should do
Jacob Luna Well you have two choices. The first is restart your game, your not a long ways into it and you know how to build your base fast by now so that might be the best route. The second is gather enough build supplies, use your radio tower to search for survivors and build up a new crew of people. To be honest I would just restart your game, at most it will take you 2-3 hours to get back to were you left off BEFORE you chose that house base.

my watch tower shot a horde then 4 hordes came then they shot and it was my last stand because a bunch of zombies kept on coming then 10 ferals came then we all died lol
How do I find a new house and keep survivors in it
You go inside of a livable base (Church, Farmhouse, Alamo Circus Ground ECT.)
Then go on your radio and press 'relocate home base' you have to clear the actual base out and make sure there are no more zeds there.
Ok I played this game many times n had stoped, BUT recently I found out you can store the ruck sacs in the back of your car then drive them to your homestead.
Helpful tip: press A to loot rucksack. Then return them to base. I made the mistake of pressing X all the time.
Henley Merrill Also bring a truck and you can stash the sacks in the trunk.
Anyone else have the glitch where zeds walk through closed doors. Ive lost 3 guys in less than an hour to this damn glitch. Stupid yose...

I have a question whenever I put food in or medicals and it turns yellow or blue or whatever does that mean it's like overrun how do I get rid of that
It means if your low on the food/supplies it will turn yellow. It will also let you know when your overflowing with supplies the game will let you.

So you need get control and build storage centers. Also when you take control of a house you can drop off supplies inside to help :)

Tristen Hepp Its out for Xbox but I believe you can get it on PC too. Its one of the best zombie games I've played think Left 4 Dead meets a dash of The Sims
+The War Room i got it at EB games for 10 bucks because there was a special promotion if i bought a game over 50 bucks or something. im glad i listened to the staff's recommendation of it because it is an extremely fun game and for me the best zombie game there is, easy. id gladly welcome a sequel

noob tips and tricks ...
Been playing it all day and sadly it's still not really clicking for me. I get annoyed by things like the ridiculously repetitve voice acting, Jesus Christ I keep hearing the same damn dude and lady and they keep saying the same goddamn thing when I come back from scavenging. Then there's the rather mediocre driving, terrible framedrops plenty of times and graphics that are nothing to write home about. With that out of the way I'd be OK with it if the game itself is fantastic but so far it's not, for me. The constant scavenging becomes a huge bore and I wish they would explain things a bit more. I mean...... i scavenged a lot today and brought everything to the church and I built a workshop there, medical station, beds etc. But isn't that a waste if I am going to be moving to a different base anyway? Tomorrow I'll make sure to remove those infested houses right away because I made the mistake of waiting too long.
have you played lifeline or the other one?
Mr Potato I started out with breakdown yesterday but it seems to be exactly like the game itself. I think I should check out Lifeline for new stuff right?
