Never really thought of that Tidus is an aeon angle. Honestly, as bitter sweet of an ending as 10 has, how much more so would it have been, if Tidus was the final boss, with Yu Yevon taking over him in one desperate attempt to survive, then you get the ending of him, not just disappearing, but he has to straight up be put down by his friends.
For me the ranking goes like this. S: Anima and Bahamut A: Yojimbo B: Valefor, Shiva C: Ifrit, Magus Sisters D: Ixion Anima and Bahamut are the strongest controllable summons in the game and break the damage limit without any buffing. Yojimbo I just like him and Zanmoto is busted. I also like when he throw in a freebie move. It is like aww he does care. Valefor I used through a good portion of the early and mid-game and Shiva is the strongest and best designed of the elemental trio. Ifrit and the Magus Sisters, honestly I love them but the fact he doesn't come with the Fira spell hurts him and the Magus Sisters well they are powerful but the fact you can't control them makes them wild cards which can hurt you. Ixion, I straight up just don't like. It is only good against one boss and as a kid I developed a grudge against it from the Aeon Duel where it had Haste and from FFX-2. Coolest Temple, Worst Aeon. Fuck this thing! Lol
Anima also quietly was the only way to truly break the damage cap. In its full animation its overdrive hit several times for lots of damage. If you changed the setting to use shorter animations, it would instead do a single attack for fully uncapped damage - not just the higher limit of 99999 that you could unlock with every character, but fully unlimited.
@@gerry8381Not supposedly. IS. She literally is his final aeon. But because he didn’t use her to defeat Sin, Yu Yevon didn’t posses her to kill Seymour and create the new Sin. My theory is that the Magus Sisters are also a final aeon. But the original summoner failed to defeat sin and died in the process but remained existing to teach a new summoner the skills necessary to win. And when you defeat her she passes on.
Sin comes from and is powered by the sacrificed Zanarkand citizens that one encounters on Mt Gagazet. Tidus also being among them as are all the other aeons that were likely removed from there and placed in various temples. Sin isn’t a water aeon nor a final summoning (which is merely a more powerful aeon due to the relationship between the summoner and the one sacrificed). The final aeon is merely a conceit created by the propaganda of the false hope prophets.
The only aeons that should be s tier is the ones with multiple attack overdrives but that's coming from someone who grinded out the sphere grid and actually enjoyed animas full potential, yojimbo is obviously s+ tier
Literally shiva just looks like a human and he puts her in S tier!? How can he prefer the humanoid designs instead of badass huge monsters and beasts? Awful takes all the way through this

Tidus is totally an aeon, agreed!
Can we give him the meh tier?
@wagnerfamiliar8112 i love him personally
Braska’s Final Aeon has another overdrive: Ultimate Jecht Shot
For me the ranking goes like this.
S: Anima and Bahamut
A: Yojimbo
B: Valefor, Shiva
C: Ifrit, Magus Sisters
D: Ixion

Can’t help but agree with that tierlist. I appreciated the Tidus bit, I’m sure others have but it’s never crossed my mind.
That is a wild theory and I’m here for it
Great video and commentary.
Thank you!
my idea is that Anima is a Final Aeon. freshly created the same way as the others. thats why shes the strongest
She is for a fact
Anima is supposedly Seymour's final aeon, had he not run away from his duty.

Ifrit in B tier is absolutely criminal
As much as he's always been my personal favorite you gotta admit he's never the strongest in any game. Dude definitely got his flowers in 16 though.
@brandonsims7822 Even if he's not the strongest he still has one of the most badass designs in 10
Anima has always been the best for me.
When you see her power in Luca, mind blowing.
Including her tragic and richer backstory compared to the others.
Magus sisters were def s tier for me. The little Bee had an attack that did a crap ton of damage. And multi hit overdrives are always best.
I would argue sin is the water aeon before tidus, but I see your reasoning.
Sin, being a final aeon; is a different thing altogether.
Sin comes from and is powered by the sacrificed Zanarkand citizens that one encounters on Mt Gagazet. Tidus also being among them as are all the other aeons that were likely removed from there and placed in various temples.

🔥🔥🔥
"Come Anima!"
Multiple hit aeons, s tier so mag sis and anima.
Yojimbo is a wild card depending on investment so either S or C
Everyone else B.
Magnus sisters would be busted as if u could actually control them
S: Anima, Shiva, Final Aeon.
A: Ifrit, Yojimbo
B: Valefor
C: Ixion, bahamut
D: magus siters
The only aeons that should be s tier is the ones with multiple attack overdrives but that's coming from someone who grinded out the sphere grid and actually enjoyed animas full potential, yojimbo is obviously s+ tier
Shiva in S tier is absolutely crazy. Shes by far got the least creative and most boring design out of any of them
Tidus is not an aeon. No one prays to him 😂
shiva s tier but not yojimbo... absolute crime
Literally shiva just looks like a human and he puts her in S tier!? How can he prefer the humanoid designs instead of badass huge monsters and beasts? Awful takes all the way through this
Your list is wack!
