Beautiful video.👌👌 I'm an expat living in uganda for 6 years. This place is truly the pearl of Africa. Good weather, beautiful people, places and culture. ❤
Your 28 minutes have out-shined the whole Ugandan Tourism Ministry. You have showcased why Uganda is called the Pearl of Africa. Welcome to Uganda and thank you Alice.
A Kenyan RUclipsr was shocked that Uganda 🇺🇬🙌🏿 has safari. The backlash she received online 😂😅. When I thought of it, Uganda's tourism isn't really marketed beyond the Source of the Nile. I had to defend her. Very few people even know that Uganda has more mountain gorillas 🦍 than Rwanda and you pay a fraction of the cost. I came to learn that Uganda's Queen Elizabeth National Park has the world's only tree climbing lions. Yes, Uganda is an underrated tourist destination and it remains my favourite destination as a Kenyan. It has a lot lot to offer. 🇰🇪💙✊🏿
@@felixmakinda7689 that’s absolutely how I felt too, sadly it’s a country where the government does not support tourism, which is why it’s not widely marketed on the global scene. But that makes discovering it so much more fun. Glad we share a common love for the country. I’ll definitely check out your channel.
@@AliceFordAdventures you need to return to Uganda and hike Rwenzori Mountains. They are snow capped all year round while situation on the equator. You did not even visit the equator
@ I did visit the equator, twice actually it’s just that they are both on busy roads and not very scenic so I did not include it in the video. I would love to hike in the Rwenzori mountains though, something I didn’t know about until my visit.

That was totally fantastic. Great footage of the wilderness. Uganda is out of this world. A fauna so exotic for us living in North America. The gorillas were exciting to watch in their natural habitat. Why you had to wear a mask back there? Thanks for sharing, you outdone yourself… again! 🦧🦓🦏🦍🐘

Thank you very much for promoting Uganda’s tourism industry using your personal resources. What a truly incredible journey! So many beautiful animals and scenery. I could have watched this for hours. Primates are so interesting to me. Bucket list trip for sure. Thank you for taking us along, beautifully captured! 💕
@alice, really appreciate your videos. I actually appreciated how you didn't put in too much video content involving animals in the distance. It is always surprising how small those animals are in video! So I appreciate the focus of the video on your experience of the trip- great editorial decision! Quick(?) question: I've safaried previously in Masai Mara and South Luangwa, I'm curious how you'd compare Uganda to other of your safari experiences?
@@dralthoff1 thank you so much for your comments, I have also Safari in Tanzania. What surprised me about Uganda was that it has all of if not most of the animals that Kenya and Tanzania does, but it’s only ever really been marketed as a place to come and see primates. The infrastructure as far as roads and rest areas is not as well developed as it is in other destinations, but I saw way more elephants, antelope and variety of species in Uganda then I did Tanzania. The one thing that I will say I saw a lot more of in other countries is big predators, so there are definitely some differences but what I loved about Uganda was the diversity. Birds, mammals, primates, and you don’t always have to be in the car. There’s ways to get out on the water there’s horseback riding in some places there’s biking through some of the national parks, so there’s a lot more diversity in activities that you can do as well.
@@AliceFordAdventures That's interesting as one of the advantages of South Luangwa (Zambia) was also not having as many large predators. Lots of crocodiles though. But the primary focus in going to that national park is birds, and the wild dogs. For instance, we saw 10 different hornbill species all together just hanging out in the grass and 4 different vulture species eating the same carcass. So I agree that the big 5 are cool, but the other species are more amazing. My bucket list item that I'd never heard of until I saw one flash its red wings: purple crested turaco. When your guides are losing their stuffing over how cool something is, you know you're seeing good stuff!

Africa is truly blessed with beautiful nature. It’s always mind boggling to me why Africans are starving when it looks so lush and green everywhere?
Well, Uganda is lush. Many of the African nations are not. Uganda is in an extremely fertile area right on the rift Valley, which makes fantastic farmland and most of the people here even though they are in extreme poverty do you have food. It’s just they eat things that they grow, junk food doesn’t exist. So the majority of people that I saw were healthy had beautiful skin and teeth and were not overweight because they work hard and eat organic vegetables.
