Splash Mountain is 1000% better.
Splash Mountain actually felt like you were transported to a world with the Brer's. The amount of detail and characters and the actual story for the ride was alot better then some flashy trippy lights and a few updated animatronics

yeah that totally looks like a different world on the left. looks like a crap world it does
@jd8184 1000% better then the ine on the right
@@Bobbybillybillbob delusional😂
@@jd8184 you sure are my friend!
@@jd8184That’s not what he’s even talking about. He’s talking about the indoor section, including the storyline. Unlike Tiana’s, it has suspense.
Personally, I like how both of the rides look. But, Splash Mountain is way better to me.
Both rides look so magical in this side-by-side comparison
Splash Mountain never carried over any of the so-called “problematic” elements from South of the South. It’s literally just about Brer Rabbit outwitting Brer Fox. I went my whole childhood never knowing what Song of the South even was until I reached adulthood. I guarantee you no little kid ever correlated a ride about Brer Rabbit with some obscure, defunct film that Disney has done their best to erase from existence.
You would think Disney would try to retheme just one of the Splash Mountains, at Disney World or Land, similar to Tower of Terror staying in Florida vs the rethemed Guardians Mission Breakout. Then, Disney could see the negative reception to the retheme but not completely shoot themselves in the foot over losing two classics
Based on the concept art mostly showing the single rider logs at Disneyland, this retheme was clearly meant for the fast pasting of the Disneyland ride, there is a lot less space for scenes there and the animations in the ride kinda felt tossed in unlike the well built Florida ride that had better original animatronics, so I believe that the ride would work slightly better at California than Florida’s, and removing Floridas was unnecessary and Florida has more classic and original attractions like the country bears, carousel of progress, tower of terror, the people mover, etc.
But this might be a bit of a stretch but I have a feeling that got rid of the Florida ride first to take the criticism and use that feedback to help the riders understand the ride more and ease the pacing at the California park, but that’s just something I randomly thought while typing this the rides story probably won’t be any different at California than it is in Florida.
@SlushysSecret thinking about how the one in California being changed to a "Bayou, New Orleans feel" would be nice to give people west coast that vibe seeing as Florida is literally next door to Louisiana, would makes sense to leave Splash Mountain at Disney World
@@Bobbybillybillbob yup, it all makes sense with New Orleans square is right next to the ride and critter country has usually always been pretty bare bones, it would be interesting to see if they could mash New Orleans with the very small half of critter country, which is better than them destroying the river to expand frontier land at Florida while making a very small New Orleans square because they got rid of their splash
All the bots to say how great Tiana’s is is actually so sad.
Not just bots. Shills and pixie-dusters are doing the same thing.
There are some lazy bots in this comment section. Look at all the copy and paste comments.
You mean those comments that say generic declarations of excitement for the ride’s “upgrade”? I noticed.
I'd only prefer "Tiana's Bayou Adventure" with a little extra lighting!🤠😉👍💯
HUGE mistake doing a Princess and the frog theme yet no Dr. Facilier???? Instead of "shrinking" for the drop to the laughing place, Dr. FACILIER COULD HAVE APPEAR3D FOR THIS SEGMENT, PULLING YOU DOWN TO HIS FRIENDS, ONLY TO ESCAPE ON THE BIG CLIMB AND END BACK IN THE BAYOU
Pretty dumb on them to make this story happen after the movie despite the fact that Ray is alive for some reason
@SlushysSecret they could have just followed the movies plot roughly 🤦 have you go through the Bayou, shrink down to a frog, dr facilier is looming with his friends in the background, instead you just get random animals playing instruments the entire time....
@@Bobbybillybillbob yea it’s very hard to follow why you get shrinked down to a frog and the lack of reasoning to why tiana is gathering animals for the celebration, this ride was specifically built for villain suspense rather than having the whole ride be tame
@SlushysSecret couldn't agree more. The whole Story of Splash Mountain was a well contained ride with different emotions. Starts with the sense if adventure and fun light hearted gags, then the stress and tension of Brer Rabbit being caught, the taunt if the Vultures as you slowly ascend the terrifying drop then WHAM a happy catchy exit with the oh so satisfactual songs and colorful characters!
@SlushysSecret This is just a weird like Tianas restraunt is this way look at all the vegetables we painted for this yummy dish! Welcome to the Bayou, wow animals playing music we could use them? Hey look more animals playing music! Oh I'm tiny now, but don't worry your back home now and all the animals are here singing to you! Ok end. What? Oh well I mean... the colors, if you ride at night, are cool. Good thing most people want the log flume on a Hot DAY experience.... again, this would have been best as a boat ride, similar to pirates NOT A LOG FLUME
FyI, the Bayou is pretttyyyy FLAT lol
Splash and Tiana s bayou adventure add more Critters add song of the south Tronics
But some Country music in it Make me happy
There's no comparison!! Splash mountain was an iconic ride enjoyed by many generations. It was one of my top three in MK. There was NO REASON to change it. It's really sad in general how little by little MK is getting rid of so many original rides, that was Walt Disney. Now it seems like they are catering only to the younger generations, when they could at least mix it up. Doing this to the attractions is so disrespectful to Walt's legacy... It just makes me very sad 😢😞 instead of constantly taken down the older attractions, they could use all that land that Walt bought, and make a separate park with the newer movies that don't even come close to the masterpieces in the 1900s. I will NEVER ride this... Never saw the movie, and have no interest in it. Thanks Disney for taking a family favorite away that generations have come together and enjoy for decades. Hopefully it will flop BIG TIME, and that would be the BEST KARMA for changing a ride for absolutely no reason! Keep it up Disney with all these stupid things.. and universal will certainly pass you and be #1! I'm not even a huge fan of universal, but they seem to have their plans in place more than Disney does.
Side-by-side comparison videos are always so fun to watch
The fact people dont care if the atraction isnt a musical anymore that is just sad.
I’m waiting breathlessly for California’s opening
Splash Mountain vs Tiana's Bayou Adventure - such a tough choice!
Only for shills and bots, everyone else prefers Splash Mountain.
I wonder how the ride experience differs between the two attractions

Sad replacement. The company is losing billions company wide.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure seems like a fresh take on a classic ride
Splash Mountain was a fun adventure. TBA is an even more boring and forgettable copy of navi river journey.
Feels like someone nuked a classic
Nope. It’s just boring and dull. Splash Mountain was 10000 times better.
