Hello Joneses I agree the men are peeing on the streets I see them on Winnie Mandela Street by Dainfern on that corner! I see them clearly from the car ! That needs to be against the law in my opinion. Indecent Public exposure is a law in the USA 🇺🇸 . South Africa 🇿🇦 should adopt this law . Security is greater in South Africa than in the USA 🇺🇸. The USA 🇺🇸 has a false sense of security, I see that just from how security is where I live in South Africa very tight. I still love being and living in South Africa 🇿🇦!!!1
Its not common for police to pull you over when driving behind you, just indicate and move out the way, they bound to be on their way somewhere, I just slow down slightly, indicate and move over, for all flashing lights. If you do not feel safe with the flashing lights trying to pull you over, you may drive to the nearest police station and let them get you there, that way you know if its a real cop or police.
Ya the public p1ssing thing is a problem and it's getting worse just like public drinking or weaving in and out traffic by pedestrians now I am 50 yrs old born in SA it shocks me
As for greetings, in Joburg you can get away with it. However, in Pretoria is a must, you greet from the security guy at the gate, to the sales floor person and the lady at the cash register. You can't jump into a person without, "Dumela, mma " ( Setswana, for hello mam " or "Dumela, Rra (Setswana, for Hello sir). About driving and other problem, Joburg is a fast paced city, you have to be street wise and all that to live in there. Even those of us who do not live in Joburg is a nightmare to drive in Johannesburg. I actually made a vow not go anywhere close to Joburg. As people there look miserable and stressed up. It is even worse when your car uses non GP registration, such as, L (Limpopo), Northern Cape (NC), NW (North West), FS (Free State) and MP (Mpumalanga), there's an assumption that we none Gauteng people are not city smart, we are laid back people. So, the problems you have mentioned so far are essentially, Joburg city problems. In Joburg people are on a survival mode, it a dog eats a dog kinda situation, people will do whatever it takes, to make money. That is why a lot people, are leaving Gauteng towards a more quieter and slow paced life, like the Vanderbuil Joburg North, Muldersdrift, Hartbeespoort, Pretoria East etc.
Wow! What did Joburgers ever do to you? All the bad things belong to Johannesburg, but the good one belongs to Pretoria?😂😂 Greeting is a South African thing, the whole country does it. It's not Joburgers' fault that noone is interested in Pretoria, except maybe Foreign Embassy people. Stop hating Joburgers!😢😢
The only Joburgers who move to Pretoria are forced by circumstances. Those who move to less developed places, are just moving away from city life. So, they wouldn't go to Pretoria, because it's still a city, even though it's sleepy. I am from KZN, but I have been fortunate enough to live in Pretoria East and Johannesburg North. The main difference between the two cities, is that Joburg and Joburgers are about wealth and high life and Pretoria is about government and moderate living.
@@africaneagle7397 I was born in Joburg, I walked the streets of Joburg way back in the early 80s as child. We used ride on those red double decker buses, like the London Red Buses. @@ThomasThateloWow you are full of venom! Well, I am not a hater but a lover. I love both Johannesburg and Pretoria. Johannesburg has many nice and great places. I have not seen such a dirty side in big Johannesburg malls.
I mean could we say going to prison is African-American culture and a shock to an outsider? It’s always so shocking to me how normalized going to jail is among AA. Everybody is/has been or knows someone close presently in prison. Is it fair to observe social ills as a people’s culture?
Unfortunately one could say it's apart of the African-American culture based off your conclusion. I have family and know others within the 'system' as we call it. A terrible reality we deal with culturally however if we face what is we have the ability to change it into what we desire!
Hi fam, please let’s be clear on this: culture and bad manners are 2 different things…same as seeing a man standing on top of a moving metro in NYC, I would not call that culture.
If you gotta go you gotsa go 😂😂😂 provided you just hide or try to hide. Here, we would much rather relieve ourselves than going in your pants and spoiling your clothes. Which is more acceptable?😅🙈 Showing all your parts while doing so is a mindset of not giving two hoots and sheer audacity. And besides, Cape Town CBD policing, CCID(our central city security, almost like police but not) , who also has arresting rights , will slap you with a huge fine quick fast😂😂😂 As for driving 😅, I'm in Cape Town, own a car but don't drive😂because anxiety 😅 here the taxis are kings of the road and us little motorists, we abide because we are scared of them 😅so we let them go create 5 lanes where there are really only 3 😂🤣 Crystal, I have never experienced that ever in my life 😂 whatever are you talking about? 😂😂😂I admittingly have accepted side deals but only from Hair Salons 😂 if she has a nice setup at home, doing her side thing and is cheaper... I'm there like a bear 😅😂 Oh and I love your hair BTW✨ Wrt lights, here in the Cape, we look at the markings on the government vehicle, look at the name badge, it must always be displayed. When it's a single government vehicle pullover at some random place, we don't stop, we drive to the nearest police station and whoever flagged us down can get us there. And also, here in Cape Town, Traffic roadblocks are usually conducted with Metro police. And if sirens are coming up behind you, we give way for all lights in a 'state of emergency'. ✨
Actually reliving yourself in a public space is also illegal in South Africa, its called public indecency and could lead to arrest but I think latetely our police officers are busy with what they consider serious crimes and they don't have capacity to deal with public indecency matters anymore 😉
@@siyabonganxumalo4574 Trust me, it's very common. I am a Mountain Biker, the guys that service my bike are always offering me bike parts at half price. Mshikashika is everywhere bro...very common. Especially in Pretoria and Joburg.
Both the walking and relieving on side of the road are legacies of the apartheid era. Learned behaviour will you. There weren't ablution facilities for us in "their" areas back in the day. So, people would relieve themselves prior to entry of segregated areas.
There's a word for those "outside establishment sales", it's called Mshikashika. 😂😂😂😂 Basically, you're knowingly participating in dodgy dealings. It was a form of protest against white/Indian business owners back in the day. If you can afford products just pay full retail price and avoid Mshikashika.😅😅 Otherwise you may find yourself in front of a Judge..
Embarrassing South African men who pee in front of their children and women but I think lack of running in poor rural areas made them to get used to that. Other African countries men also do it. Thieves employees who still products and customers from employers illegal. Gauteng is the whole world in 1 province. People there operate differently from other province because they are coming from different countries and provinces. Behavior and driving wise reckless because of rushing and high crime. Hijacking can be done sometimes while waiting for robot to change green. Ask people from other provinces they will tell you that Gauteng provision is rough. The way you walk when you enters Gauteng should change. If not the criminal will quickly pick that you a new in town. Enjoy your day
You should never entertain products from workers outside of the store policy. You'll find yourself in prison one day, because those workers are stealing from their employers

Mrs Jones that colour looks good on you. Don't mind my being formal I couldn't remember whether your name starts with a K or C.
I'm excited about the price of laser hair removal there. I'm going to get my whole armpit done as soon as I get settled.
Reliving yourself on the side of the road in the City it is illegal in South Africa but the Police are not enforcing the Law
ahhh, copy
Police will have cars written "Police", wherether Metro Police or South African Police Services, anything else they don't have any authority over you.
Bet, thank you so no unmarked vehicles here in SA!
As a South African, I DETEST public urination with all of me as much as I detest littering. We're NOT all like this guys but yes, it's unfortunate that many have turned it into a norm when it should be once in a while when people are way too pressed. Many just now simply do it. It's dirty and disgusting. Period!!!
Its against the law, specific Public indecency law and that's why we have public toilets in the cities
They can get arrested for releving themselves in public
As is in the states.
People who do that on the side of the road are often inebriated.
Beware of scammers, when someone tells you they will sell you staff out of the establishment they want to scam you, please beware!!!
True, they need to be careful.
They can get scammed.
South African born but thus side seling in establishment, I have never experienced.
That's good!
Yeah the public thing is crazy to me and I've seen it with cars so nah, they can go to a station. However, I've seen it every time I'm on the road at least once. But hey I guess it's not a crime in SA.
It's illegal to pee in public in SA. People do it but it's not legal. Those selling things outside the establishment, they may have stolen the items, please don't buy them.
Copy that ,thank you so much for sharing and informing
@@africaneagle7397 problem of Joburg people niyadelala.
The culture of Joburg, the dog eat a dog mentality of Joburg, the city is a monster that lack humility, and sadly in a partn of self destruction. You guys can't even take care of your environment, the infrustracture, etc that you live in. You all look fake and miserable and turn the entire city into a ghetto. Yet your ego is on another level. What a shame!
@@ThomasThateloWow you are full of venom! Well, I am not a hater but a lover. I love both Johannesburg and Pretoria. Johannesburg has many nice and great places. But yes, most of the Johannesburg City center is not in good shape.
However, the most upmarket mall in Pretoria, Menlyn Park has a dirty side where taxes park. I have not seen such a dirty side in big Johannesburg malls.
i wish south africa had stricter laws and some stricter policing too . people has no regard for the law over here .
How are yall going to deal with the BRICS currency being from America?
Not affected
Those men I just being nasty. What about women, we also have to walk around from point A to B, but we don’t pee everywhere.
You're right, I haven't seen a women do it at all!
Hi fam, please let’s be clear on this: culture and bad manners are 2 different things…same as seeing a man standing on top of a moving metro in NYC, I would not call that culture.
Thank you!
Blue light police, red n white ambulance, white light private security. 😊
Noted!!!
And besides, Cape Town CBD policing, CCID(our central city security, almost like police but not) , who also has arresting rights , will slap you with a huge fine quick fast😂😂😂 As for driving 😅, I'm in Cape Town, own a car but don't drive😂because anxiety 😅 here the taxis are kings of the road and us little motorists, we abide because we are scared of them 😅so we let them go create 5 lanes where there are really only 3 😂🤣
Crystal, I have never experienced that ever in my life 😂 whatever are you talking about? 😂😂😂I admittingly have accepted side deals but only from Hair Salons 😂 if she has a nice setup at home, doing her side thing and is cheaper... I'm there like a bear 😅😂 Oh and I love your hair BTW✨
Wrt lights, here in the Cape, we look at the markings on the government vehicle, look at the name badge, it must always be displayed. ✨
I feel like R300 for nails IS insane and y'all said R3000 in the US?????? 😳 No fam, that's someone's monthly salary!!! Haaibo. Ah ah!!!
Appreciate it, very informative seems in some instances there way is worse then the states. 😂 😊 😅 Good info👍
The people who sell things in the establishments ...i don't entertain them they can get you in trouble.
Actually reliving yourself in a public space is also illegal in South Africa, its called public indecency and could lead to arrest but I think latetely our police officers are busy with what they consider serious crimes and they don't have capacity to deal with public indecency matters anymore 😉
Don't buy the same product they sell at the store from the sales people in private they definitely stole it
Respect, as we haven't
It is mostly done by guys that are intoxicated..... It just that they do it when facing people.
Ahhhh copy copy
Blue lights= police, red lights = ambulance, amber lights = tow away trucks
Much love, thanks and white lights?
Were those employees South Africans? in my whole life, I've never had someone selling me the same products that shop is selling.
Very common in SA. 😂😂 If you're friendly they tend to take chances. 😂😂
@@MosesMatsepane not common bro, I've never experianced it.
@@siyabonganxumalo4574 Trust me, it's very common. I am a Mountain Biker, the guys that service my bike are always offering me bike parts at half price. Mshikashika is everywhere bro...very common. Especially in Pretoria and Joburg.
We didn't ask nor can tell where they are from. It happens with us quite often! We share a couple of instances of many!
ahhh see, we are friendly nice people people so that makes sense.
Both the walking and relieving on side of the road are legacies of the apartheid era. Learned behaviour will you. There weren't ablution facilities for us in "their" areas back in the day. So, people would relieve themselves prior to entry of segregated areas.
Actually, public peeing in SA is illegal
No way! Well it is in writing not by enforcement
Yup! It is
I detest it when people particularly men who relieve themselves in public whether on the side of the road or in some corner. Its disgusting period!!!
It's not a sight to see for sure!!
That relieving yourself in the street is actually illegal, a person must be arrested if seen by cops
There's a word for those "outside establishment sales", it's called Mshikashika. 😂😂😂😂 Basically, you're knowingly participating in dodgy dealings. It was a form of protest against white/Indian business owners back in the day. If you can afford products just pay full retail price and avoid Mshikashika.😅😅 Otherwise you may find yourself in front of a Judge..
oh wow interesting especially that it has it's on word!
Maybe its time to change the intro ricky its been a little while now just a thought
Some things wont change

Oh nice, thank you for the love and support!
I don't see anything wrong with relieving yourself in public as long as its in the bush.. As African, it must be normal.
Respect, lol
These men peeing anyhow,it puts me off l can't get used to it 😮.
Yeah it was a shocker!!
Believe me I am a South African but I don't like it too.
Yeah it throws me off
Embarrassing South African men who pee in front of their children and women but I think lack of running in poor rural areas made them to get used to that. Enjoy your day
Thanks for the comment and information! We are all informed
Urine is good for the earth, its good for tjr plans😮
not all urine is created equally lol
If number 1 was done during Apartheid they would've been arrested
Oh wow
Ya'll don't pee on the pavement? I'd pee my pants.
BTW, it's considered illegal, but we do it still.
You should never entertain products from workers outside of the store policy. You'll find yourself in prison one day, because those workers are stealing from their employers
Oh wow. Thank you
When you gotta go, you gotta go.
lol resepect
also homeless people prefer to pee on the road side
Copy that
Thanks Jones family I hate seeing guys reliving themselves....I dont know why SA guys do it...Its annoying...Make them look like they are in the jungle or something. Really bad
