There is some dozer bait on that property. I carry chain saw every where up north. You can leave and have tree block the way before you get back. Our 2 tracks are one lane. Yes paint or seal bare wood. It is easier to build fresh than rebuild. We wanted to be off grid. Taxes on a second residence are twice the regular amount. No gutters because ice dams. I understand about the reason for no gutters. Think I saw a video of the people that bought that property or used to own it. Least weasels and fishers love to kill chickens. That water tower is scary. I would pass unless under 50k. Too much work and I don't have a dozer to fix those buildings.
It's a nice property all things considering. Needs some work, but not too shabby for off grid. I'm surprised that the building is wood vs metal since there is a great chance of termites with most wood structures. I'd be concerned about the fire issues and what the policy was for the fires that start in the area.
@@tmoddison Yep in the city, fortunately in a very low crime area but friends and neighbors still text each other before knocking on doors. Just found your channel, really cool stuff, thanks for the great content and info.

All amazing points. Maybe a container house?
Really? You don’t want to go up a drive way of someone who you don’t know? Sounds like some Appalachian mess going on!!
Rural Oregon can be rough and tough! Do you live out this way?
Many city folk feel the same way in this day and age
@coastalhillbilly3419 you’re not wrong! Do you live in a city?
