    I am a board-certified internal medicine physician, and you guys are taking snippets from his interviews way out of context. I am not surprised that the main stream establishment wants to silence the voices of those who have made discoveries and progress in the field of functional medicine. Shame.

      Yup, they don't care about what is good for people at all.. I live within view of a convenience store where I can buy Slurpees and other junk food 24/7, the only reason BBC don't care about my ease of access to rubbish food is because it doesn't affect their power and control. When it comes to rubbish food, the BBC are all about the free market and that it's "up to the individual to decide" on what's OK and what is not OK all by themselves, but when it comes to access to information then the BBC says it should only be them..🤷

    • @doodeedah6409
      @doodeedah6409 Месяц назад +29

      Neither did BBC nor the experts claimed that he did. They said that his claim could dangerously mislead cancer patients to change their diet in a way that is actually detrimental to their health during their cancer treatments.
      At no point anybody suggested that it would lead to patients quitting their treatments or medications.

    • @pureffm
      @pureffm Месяц назад +1

      @doodeedah6409 they literally misrepresented what he said, that he recommended keto without chemo. Dishonest, discredited BBC. Elon Musk was the first one who exposed their tactics on live TV and since then they have been down spiraling. No one cares about the lying media, people do well to listen to podcasts that interview true scientists instead of TV doctors who have never conducted more than a couple of studies, usually ripe with conflicts of interest, but are nevertheless being presented as top experts in their field. The video is a waste of time, because it will lead people to stay away from useful strategies like Keto and sugar reduction. They deal exactly the kind of harm they say those podcast speakers are dealing.

      Omg!! Prof Thomas Seyfried is amazing. They need to go and read his research papers and visit the people who have been told to go home and die after chemo has nearly killed them and switched and followed his press pulse therapy and are alive today. Fact hyperbaric oxygen is as effective as radiation without the harmful effects. Listen to Prof Seyfried and the stats on cancer and how many people are dying. Who checks the fact checkers. So many things you can do for cancer now and chemo the last thing I would be doing. But each to their own.

      Some have more abilities than others. I know older relatives who would never question a doctor or get a 2nd opinion. I enjoy Bartlett's podcasts but remember one guest who was clearly way out there, giving no data to back up what he was saying other than quoting his colleague's medical opinions. It was disappointing because I had been very impressed with his other guests up to then. It gave me a little extra healthy skepticism and I would always research beyond a single podcast before making a change that affects my health.
      I have no problem with this video either if it makes people look for multiple sources to confirm information.

    Definitely an ATTACK piece. I have been doing extensive research on many of these topics for the last 10 years. The current medical establishment has based many of their dietary guidelines on the extremely flawed Ansel Keys studies from the 60's. It has been well documented the man, who wasn't a doctor by the way, cherry picked data points in order to push his biased agenda. I was able to cure my type 2 diabetes, reverse cirrhosis of the liver and had many many other health improvements by removing sugar and flour as well as ultra processed foods from my diet (just 80% of the time). But the medical establishment isn't interested in prevention and neither is big Pharma...there isn't any money to be made if we are walking around in good health and not taking any meds.

Once I heard about the link of sugar and inflammation, I stopped all sugar, went low carb and within 1 month I started walking again after being on wheelchair for 1 year.
      By that time I had been to top doctors and travelled everywhere for treatment. NO WESTERN DOCTOR EVER HELPED ME! They just pushed pills on me which were temporary solutions. As someone who healed her infertility by dropping cow milk and completely avoiding sugar and processed/ultra-processed foods and not losing a pound back in 2019 I absolutely need the info brought by the experts Stephen. He has brought on his channel experts in: healthy food, sugar addiction, PCOS, infertility, metabolism, chemicals and micro plastics, all the experts (especially the female ones) that I wish I had when I was going through puberty. Instead when I was a teenager I had Cosmopolitan magazine and maybe some outdated encyclopedias, and not a whole lot from the dial up internet days but nothing helped until I met my partners family and they suggested I switch to plant based milk, and this helped cure my acne completely. Life got better as time went on but in the last couple years (2023-2024) wow so much info on women’s health and I haven’t felt more cared about by my “village” in ever. When I was growing up I was put on birth control at 13 and this helped mask my cow milk intolerance which was causing my acne. I further learned in my mid 30s after quitting birth control I didn’t have consistent periods because of PCOS, so by quitting sugar I healed my infertility and my cycles became consistent and I was ovulating. Had two kids, 14 months apart at 39-40 years old when my fertility should have been in the tank apparently but if I wasn’t ovulating for my entire teens and 20s and early 30s maybe my eggs were not being released? No idea but both our kids are doing well.
      Thanks Stephen and guests for helping me understand my body better and heal further by understanding PCOS and the connection to diabetes and the metabolism issue. This knowledge will help me give my kids a better chance to survive our nutrition desert through avoiding the chemicals in plastics as much as possible and choosing organic whole foods (grown from our own garden space).

    I watched that particular podcast and it was one of the most important and informative cancer related podcasts I’ve seen… sugar and highly processed foods are a major factor in the growth of cancer related diseases… the podcast did not rule out the use of radio therapy but it did say extreme uses of the therapy can in some cases do far more harm than good. Diet needs to play an important part when treating patients with cancer and the need to stop feeding or fueling cancer cells needs to be part of the treatment. Just because something doesn’t fit into the model of what we have learned over decades does not make it wrong and much of these so called treatments are backed by corporates who put profits before cure…. The BBC should know better and the need to look at both sides of the equation before demonising a topic without first understanding what it is saying and reading between the lines. Stephens podcasts are there to be listened to with an open and unbiased mind. He’s not there to challenge what his guests are saying as his guests are vetted before the show but where possible get another perspective and ask questions the ordinary person may not be able to ask.

At some point, we started refusing their “food” instead providing dad with healthier alternatives with a similar protein and vitamin profile. The hospital could then gradually ween him off the injections. They had no objections. It’s simply that they don’t have funds for healthy food, only for meds.

    This worries me about the authenticity of BBC now. I've seen that episode and at no point does he simplify it to just cutting out sugar, and juicing. He also doesn't advocate that you don't do chemo, he just tells you that it is in fact harmful (that's why it works so you can't really deny that fact). He also doesn't push ANY supplements or pills. In fact he encourages more study of the subject based off of what his studies show. He wants REAL scientists and Dr's to look at what he's saying from a point of understanding not simply refuting because your peers say don't look at the data. I have never be on the level of a conspiracy theorist but this is giving me MAJOR cover-up vibes.... and BTW he LITERALLY said the same thing this DR said in that there isn't a magic bullet to cure cancer which is more proof that you either didn't listen to the podcast or are deliberately omitting or cherry picking what you want from it. Not sure why you would separate his guests on his podcasts as “real doctors” vs the rest of the drs who do not appear on his show as if they quantify legitimacy 🤷. If you watched this new clip they even quote that Steven’s company spoke out saying they don’t always agree with the guests but the point is that they bring on many views. The issue what the bbc have with him is that he fails to question the problematic views on his podcasts, and sadly people don’t always listen to context but prefer soundbites that can be inherently misleading on their own without context, thus promoting the spread of misinformation. Honestly, I think you need to rewatch this news clip again because I think you failed to grasp context here too.
