You read the comments! I'm honored. Considering your interest in these myths, you might enjoy Madeline Miller's two brilliant novels, Circe and Song of Achilles. They walked me into the tales of the Trojan War and Circe's life on her island and her time with Odysseus.

I had to learn latin and classical greek when I was at school - it was pretty tedious at first, although later I came to appreciate their value - but in the beginning we had one lesson a week of free reading on the subject, where we were free to read any book we liked from the library about Roman and Hellenic history and culture in order to give us a broader appreciation of the language we were learning (if only education worked like this nowadays). This was when I discovered the Greek myths, and I've loved them ever since
Watching this so many times over, gives me a great appreciation for your audio reading ability. I sincerely hope that you continue to read more old stories and mythologies. I have thoroughly enjoyed the fact that you go through the effort of telling this story with character voices and tones. Keep up the good work!
As someone who thoroughly enjoys nearly every video I've watched so far from this channel, whom did NOT dislike the video... I think in all frank honesty it's because of the multiple vocal tone changes and the initial harsh high frequency of the tin roof rain sounds. Personally love the video though. I think some people just dislike videos before they get through enough of it to find they actually enjoy it very much.
The singing at 1:43:00 was in my dream and it was absolutely terrifying. I woke up w heart palpitations.🤦🏼♀️ I’ve seen this video so many times and have never felt that sort of fear.
Yea it’s already kind of creepy just on its own, with added context (which your brain probably filled in), unconsciousness, and all that reverb he put on it, this was not a good choice for a video meant to be listened to as the viewer falls asleep, thanks for the warning.

Wow this is the first time I’ve ever read/listened to the whole story! Twas very entertaining. And the rain was a super nice touch. Thanks for the compilation and for the history
I remember reading this a few years back in my sophomore year of high school. One of those stories that I feel like the majority of the class either barely grasped or just flat out didn't understand what was happening. I understood to a degree what was happening (most of the time, at least) and thought it was extremely interesting. Being forced to read it definitely took away from the experience, but I still enjoyed it. I thought the story was very captivating and the fact that it has lasted as long as it has is mindblowing to me, although it may be a situation like the Bible, where it's been translated many times by different people and has lost some of the original meaning. All in all, still incredible to me. Love your content, have fallen asleep countless times to your astronomy videos and as someone with insomnia, I can't thank you enough for what I do.
