Yup, Pau runs the click & tracks with Abelton Live on the laptop. She has midi pedals to start & stop (check out digital tour bus gear masters ep. 475) all three are classically trained pianists. Any of them could have played on the track but I’d guess it was Pau as she writes on the piano & it’s often her compositions. Also if you compare the studio version to live sometimes piano parts are played on the guitar. Early, concerts (Dakota Bar, Lunario, Foro DiDi) they traveled with a keyboard & just recently they returned to piano on stage for a few of Pau’s time-to-make-grown-men-cry-like-babies songs.
The entire album is a masterpiece.. in fact , they’ve never written a bad song !!!.. do yourselves a favor an check out their 21 century blood album .. it’s a rarely discussed gem !!!
Queen Of The Murder Scene is one of the best rock albums released in the last 40 years... If we consider that it was planned and executed by 3 teenagers, it is certainly the best... A conceptual and completely original work! Something that seemed impossible in the rock scene of recent decades.
It was only possible because it was crowd-funded and produced by the band itself! No corporate music behemoth of 2018 would have produced it. It was too creative to tit their farking formulas. Thank God, these kids didn't sign with Disney or do something stupid like believe the record companies who wanted to mold them into something else. Watch their 2016 and 2017 TEDx Talks at the University of Nevada and you'll see what I mean. These ladies are special!
Building on your comment about being dragged to a show not knowing the band; I flew to LA to see TW two nights in a row at the Troubadour. Next to me in line the first night was a guy who brought his buddy not telling him who they were seeing. The second night he was back again and I was next to them on the rail. This guy was rockin like he’d been a fan for years! Going down TW rabbit hole fast and hard is a common phenomenon with these ladies!
A friend of mine took me to see them in Asbury Park, NJ at the Stone Pony on 8/10/23 after only ever hearing Enter Sandman on the Blacklist album. I have not spent a day without TW since.
Occasionally they have a backing track which is inevitably a piano. All three are classically trained pianists. When they were singing" Korusu, korusu, korusu, korusu" that phrase is Japanese for "Kill, kill, kill, kill".
The drumming and bass sounds are so good and the gritty vocals are the cherry on top. Awesome reaction. BTW, they are dropping a new song this Friday which is a song from their upcoming 4th album. That reaction would be a nice curveball 😊.
Paulina does run midi tracks for each song. Best thing I can say is Welcome to the Addiction. She talks about it in her gear run down you can find on youtube.
Queen of the Murder Scene is the title track of their second album which happens to be a concept album. Dust to Dust is the prolog of the album which consists of four chapters of three songs each. They actually released it like that, a chapter at a time until the live at Lunario concert in 2018 where they played the entire album marking the release of the fourth and final chapter. A tale that goes from infatuation to obsession then murder and the eventual death of the Queen. Dust to Dust actually takes place at the funeral of the Queen and invites the listener in to hear her story. They do use click and backing tracks. Usually any piano background is recorded ahead or time by Pau but all three play piano. There are some screams and such in the album that were prerecorded by Dany and some laughter that was Pau. They also had something on the order of a rainstick in one of the songs that was a gift from their grandfather. It had been sitting around for years before they wrote a song they wanted to use that in. If you are interested they have vlogs 23, 25 and 26 that talk about the writing of the individual songs on that album.
As other people have said, Queen of the Murder Scene is the title track of their concept album. Concept albums are difficult to do because you need to move a story along, but you don't want songs to just sound like filler. Pink Floyd spent almost a year in the studio putting The Wall together. These girls wrote this album in their basement when they were 18, 16, and 13 years old. Other songs from this album you will hear are Ugh, Dull Knives, Dust to Dust, and Hunter.
Teatro concert is the best one. Second best is Lunario, Queen of the Murder Scene. Different songs and still AWESOME. Dakota Bar concert 3rd. Shiprocked 4th (OMG... Highway to Hell with Steel Panther is freakin' AMAZING).
The Warning do use some backing tracks that are taken from the recordings of their songs. They do not rely on them though, as the click and tracks can fail. In that case they can still pull off their music without it affecting the performance. Thanks for continuing with this brilliant rock band. ❤✌🤘
I went to see Manheim Steamroller in December, they are an ensemble that plays 'updated Christmas songs. They travel with a full string section, horn section, two keyboards, drum kit & a percussionist, electric bass etc.....AND they utilized backing tracks to add vocalists & addition instruments. Not an issue.
Dany sings the evil side of a girl, and she is in control here, proud of how evil she is - "I have no mercy" and 'No emotion" lyrics. But Pau, who sings the good side of the girl, starts to chant "korosu", Japanese for 'Kill'. She seems to be coming over to the dark side.
Yes indeed, live and on stage is where these three really shine. They have so much experience for being so young. Great to see. This concert is one of my top 10 all-time performance videos. The do use backing tracks run from Pau's laptop from time to time. But they use them as complementary rather than mandatory. But, yes, amazing how much noise comes from just three people.
This is the title track of their second album, all the other songs you've heard so far (except Enter Sandman) were from their third album hence the different vibe. I don't know if you've been told, but they will release a new song next friday 🤘
Hi Coach and Mrs. Coach! Thanks for reviewing this track and can't wait for the rest of the Teatro songs. The Warning's polish and expertise comes from lining and breathing their music for 10+ years SOLID. I don't know how many shows they have played but, everything they are today came from hard work, passion, and brains. Yes they are well seasoned. I just love how much all three enjoy what they are doing. The fun they have performing sucks you right in with them! Pau not only kills the drums and sings, she runs the show from her laptop. There are many backing tracks used and the ladies perform those tracks themselves. Pau is also the main writer in the band. The Warning is fearless in front of a crowd. And they are humble. But, WOW. The amount of sound they produce is nothing if not amazing. 2024 will see these ladies rise to new heights. Each could steal the show. They share the spotlight and that's part of their charm. Wait for the rest of the concert and you will see more than you can imagine!
They do use backing tracks, but they play all their backing tracks pre-recorded, so it is them playing but only on a backing track. They are all classically trained on the piano, so they often use a piano as a backing track. They may also add a second guitar when needed, but again it is Dany playing on the track. They are only a 3 piece band, so they need some backing tracks to help fill out their sound. That is also Dany Screaming on the track near the end. They use it very sporadically though only when needed.
This is your favorite because its the last one you heard. You will say it often. My favorite The Warning song is the one i heard last. When your done with this show i highly recommend the Lunario show where they play the Queen Of The Murder Scene album in order.

Queen of the Murder Scene is a concept album which tells the story of a disturbed young woman's inner journey from desire to obsession to murder and madness. The songs are told from the point of view of either the young lady's inner psychopath or her good side, which has a conscience - until it does not. Paulina wrote it as a Novel with 15!. Nice reaction and analysis. Nice pickup on noticing the unseen keyboards and also Ale's bass during the guitar solo. Paulina pretty much controls the show from her laptop that is mounted on her left side of the drum kit. She uses pedals to control the backdrop, click and back tracks. They do use their own back tracks for certain songs. Danny uses a pedal that adds an octave down to fill the sound out. Being that she is the only guitarist. She plays lead, rhythm and sings. So, she is almost as busy as Paulina.
"almost as busy as Pau"???? all Pau does with the laptop is pause and play between songs. the laptop does the rest. Dany has to press her peddle board half dozen to a dozen times each song while singing around 90% of the songs, playing and working the stage every chance she gets, working the crowd between songs... It's not even close as which one is the busiest on stage.
The keyboard sound - that comes from the laptop next to Pau (the drummer) which has additional tracks they sometimes play live as there is only 3 of them (not enough hands!). It is still played by themselves originally though. All three of them were classically trained on piano. Danny and Alejandra also play Sax, as well as the instruments they all play now, plus all of them can sing, Ale choosing not to sing lead (for now anyway). She has however sung lead a few times when Danny's voice has needed a rest, or she's not too well.
As a relatively new TWA member, I got hooked with Evolve from the VMAs and before that day was out, I had watched the entire Teatro Metropolitan concert twice, the Allison Hagendorf interview, and just about every one of their official music videos. I'd make a terrible reactor, once I get the earworm, I HAVE to hear/watch everything.
The drummer plays tracks during the show using Ableton Live. They record those tracks themselves ahead of time, usually keys and rhythm guitar, also stuff like the screams on the song. Pau uses foot pedals to trigger those tracks at the appropriate time. She explains this a bit in her Gear Masters episode.
Just a clarification. Pau doesn’t trigger each individual effect as she’s playing. When she triggers the song, the software plays said effect at the appropriate time.
@@mjc1389 yep it always amazes me that the fandom sometimes tries to give the impression by the way they word stuff that she is back there interacting with the laptop during the song triggering each effect.... all she does is pause the laptop after each song and play before the start of the next. the software does the rest.
Korasu is Japanese for to kill/ kill. This is from Queen of the Murder Scene. A concept album that follows a young woman’s journey from obsession to desire to murder to death. Amazing album even more so when you consider that they wrote it when they were 18,16 and 13
@@torresilk4277 It should be korosu. FYI when Pau says korosu korosu koro korosu... the "koro" is more of a stutter and shouldn't be translated as it won't make sense.
QOTMS : que buena tema ,un rock enérgico ,estupendo solo, excelente linea de bajo y Pau una de las mejores linea de batería ,que buen tema del album conceptual de QOTMS
Hmmm surprised that Mrs Coach says that she prefers this song. Not one for Mrs Coach I feel, we need to find one more up her alleyway….try Revenant, if you haven’t already….then Alone….
Next, you should be reacting to Ugh from the same album, Queen of the Murder Scene. If you liked the title track, then Ugh will be your next favorite. That’s just how it is. Your favorite TW song is usually the one you just listened to…that is until you hear the next.
Backing tracks are widespread in the industry. I think many people associate the use of backing tracks in a negative connotation. This negative connotation likely comes from 2 sources as I see it. The first is that certain genres rely almost completely on backing tracks for their instrumental content of the songs. I mean how many videos do you see of popular singers in concert with just the singer and an ensemble of dancers onstage? Where do you think the instrumental part is coming from? The 2nd is some legacy bands are being “caught” with extensive parts of their live performances being tracked and passing it off as them playing onstage. That tends to leave a bad taste in some people’s mouths. Also I believe singers that are known to extensively use tricks like autotune to pass themselves off as competent singers get lumped into the mix and add to the negative perception. A vast majority of what you hear at a TW show is played live onstage. Tracks are mostly stuff like screams, sirens, gunshots, etc. Dany can make a “proper racket” onstage herself with all the delays, multi-channel stuff and octave shifts but she is only one human so they do use a second guitar track occasionally. They do track some keyboard stuff in because they don’t generally tour with keyboards anymore and as a filler in certain songs. TW are very conscious about being able to create live onstage most of the things they record in a studio.
They use a keyboard backing track in this song, I cannot remember which one recorded it, I think it's Ale but I could certainly stand to be corrected. The screams are Dany.
I continue to be both entertained and impressed by this band. Each of the ladies excels in their contribution, creating an immense wall of sound. I see the drummer has received an award... greatly deserved! Still not a fan of the flashing light show though...
SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL- VIKING btw I'm not gonna stop requesting this! Coach- you'll love it, Mrs Coach- not so much..but Imagine Slipknot... but on steroids! 😅

Dany has to press her peddle board half dozen to a dozen times each song while singing around 90% of the songs, playing and working the stage every chance she gets, working the crowd between songs... It's not even close as which one is the busiest on stage.
Glad the girls don't have an ego problem. Depressing that some fans get crazy about it.@@awadoma2702
They do use backing tracks when they feel necessary.
Very interesting. Thanks!
😆 🤣 It is very tempting!
It’s a backing track for the keyboard.
Oh, that's quite interesting.
Just a clarification. Pau doesn’t trigger each individual effect as she’s playing.
When she triggers the song, the software plays said effect at the appropriate time.
@@mjc1389 yes, that's how Ableton works. Also feeds the click track into everyone's in ears so they can stay together.
@@mjc1389 yep it always amazes me that the fandom sometimes tries to give the impression by the way they word stuff that she is back there interacting with the laptop during the song triggering each effect.... all she does is pause the laptop after each song and play before the start of the next. the software does the rest.
The Warning!! 🔥 🤘
Korasu is Japanese for to kill/ kill. This is from Queen of the Murder Scene. A concept album that follows a young woman’s journey from obsession to desire to murder to death. Amazing album even more so when you consider that they wrote it when they were 18,16 and 13
🤘⚡🔥
Curves are good but you're doing GREAT with the Teatro Metropolitan live concert. Keep them coming.
Thanks!
⚡⚡⚡
Thank you. Nice reaction.
Thank you too!
TWA present! ❤🤟🤟
We appreciate you!
Korasu korasu korasu! Japanese for "kill kill kill".
Haha. Google translated it as ‘chase them, chase them’
@@torresilk4277 It should be korosu. FYI when Pau says korosu korosu koro korosu... the "koro" is more of a stutter and shouldn't be translated as it won't make sense.
Dani Queen of the Music Scene!🌹🌹🌹❤❤❤
QOTMS : que buena tema ,un rock enérgico ,estupendo solo, excelente linea de bajo y Pau una de las mejores linea de batería ,que buen tema del album conceptual de QOTMS
The girls do use backing tracks and click tracks on all their songs and it is tied in with Paus computer . That computer is cammand central, lol ..
Since you've seen this song now, try the TIDAL Rising Dia De Los Muertos livestream version.
It was filmed so that it could be watched using VR goggles.
🥰🤟🎶☮️
It’s a killer song…
🤘🤘
Good to know! 👍
♥♥♥ TW
Yes they use click tracks and backing tracks. All deserved.

Why is the window for the video so small,,,? Not cool,,👎
RUclips blocks more frequently with larger videos of the original content. We always link the original for you.
Koruso = in Japanese murder or homicide scene
