Well, I've had it for a little over a year now and it just turned over to 100,000 miles earlier this week. The only thing I've had to replace on it so far was the rack & pinion assembly, a battery, the thermostat and I ordered a new OEM CD player. Other than that, I've got no other serious issues with it at the moment. It's been a great car and I absolutely love it!
Might be buying an '08 identical to yours tomorrow. Believe it or not it also has 87k miles. It doesn't have the steering wheel mounted controls though. Never ceases to amaze me how GM cars from the 2000's had interiors that looked like they came from the 90's and even the 80's in some cases.
Thanks for your video. Just bought one, 13 years old and 140k miles, wish me luck. It's replacing my '95 Olds 88 that went to Car Heaven because the subframe rusted out. Found out that's a known problem on some 90's GMs. The Olds was power everything but this is the first car I've owned that has the digital information display. Thanks for showing what those buttons do. This is the 4th Grand Prix I've owned. Feels like coming home.
@@jeromejackson5028 Absolutely right. GXP has the most bells and whistles, but there's known transmission issues with them. I had an 08 GXP that had the torque converter replaced before 60k and still wasn't 100% right after that.
+Lorin Walker Yeah, but you have to figure that the 3800 series III V6 in this car was designed and introduced in the early 2000s (I want to say 2004 to be exact), so there was never really an updated version of this engine since then. Now the supercharged version of this engine puts out more power.
+Captain Donut No sir, this is an 08. Pontiac has used this stereo in a variety of vehicles since the early 2000s up until almost their complete disappearance.

Hell, even the late 90s/early 2000s exterior door handles were carried over to the 2004-08 7th generation of Grand Prix.

I have the same one with 270k running like a champ.
Thank you for tour
that is cool that when u put it in gear the doors lock and when u put back in park it unlocks and I like the lock sound in ur car to.
Actually the series II 3.8 is the best of the three. That's the bullet proof engine!
beautiful, beautiful car
r one of my most fave utubers EVER!!!!!!!!!!!
how is working now?? its pontiac a good car and cheap to fix?
That would be a great purchase! I own a 2004 GTP with 137k miles and she'll be around for at least another 150k.
A friend I work with has a 2004 Grand Prix, same bodystyle. I like it but she's had a lot of trouble with hers. How's yours holding up?
Well maintained car will last up to 300,000 miles
I'm gonna get one of these, replace the radio, and most likely put subs in the back. Is this the best Grand Prix model?
In terms of specs? No. The GXP is the best model with a 5.3l v8.
The gxp has more issues
The Base is better

And the gxp is full size others really are mid size
@chrhem1234
Yeah, I know. Mine is just a base model, so the traction controls wasn't equipped.
We bought a used 07 very similar car.
That button you said is nothing is the traction control on and off button lol I have the same car
Anybody with the bad key fob, Just get replacement button pad off of eBay or amazon. I’ve mistakenly thrown one away not knowing it was a simple fix.
2008 pontiac grand prix with 60000 miles for 10000 dollars, you thing is good idea to buy that car?
Love This Car i Have An 06 All White you should go ahead and tint the windows
Love the white ones with grey interior. The white with tints are gorgeous. And they sound good too.
Do you still own it?
How much did you buy this car for man?
You think gray is hard to keep clean you don't want tan or blue
it's nice
Rental holy transmission batman
Almost as good as my 88 Grand Prix haha just kidding... Nice ride man
Is this car full size?
Yeah, it's full size.
@@MichaelAdamsRocks doesn't look like it to me. Do you think it handles well.
It's midsize
@@jeromejackson5028 I thought it was mid size but the guy above and Wikipedia said differently.
+ Michael serota All I can say is you get as much room as you pay for.
Does anyone know the hp on this car?
+Lorin Walker 200 horses on this base 3800 V6
That stinks. You would think a 3.8 would have more power. You can get either a v6 altima or maxima around that year and get have more power

Isn't it almost 100 more hp or something like that
Lorin Walker 60 more. Imo the supercharged has a lot more pep
OH MAH GAWD ITS SO PURDY!

Worst GM remote ever
Not bad to bad it's only a base model though.
the dealer could have easley put a tire pressure sensor in the rf tire what a stupid and lazy dealer...
umm... isnt that the '06? cause im pretty sure the '08 has a different radio system
+Captain Donut No sir, this is an 08. Pontiac has used this stereo in a variety of vehicles since the early 2000s up until almost their complete disappearance.
Oh, my bad. Does it have an aux input?
+Captain Donut No, this one doesn't
+MichaelAdamsRocks I miss the Azteck
