Well, 'Boss' definitely has a weight to it but 'girl boss' also sounds powerful and influential with almost an in-your-face femininity to it. I guess it depends on the context with which you use it.
It only took me 43 years to learn that the difference between those that became SUCCESSFUL, and those who didn't, was their ability to HOLD ON and PERSIST in the face of less than desireable, often bleak, circumstances and/or environments. Just. Hold. On.
I feel you on these except for the waking up early part. Depending on your schedule it can be exhausting. By taking breaks from social media and other activities you can find that extra time without sacrificing sleep.

It's quite natural to struggle with this, I did too for a while but what helped me was visualisation. Start the night before and list 2 things that are really important and visualise how doing them will impact your life for good - if necessary, write the tasks and the related advantages in a book (I used to not use a planner, now I do) so that when you look at it the next morning, you'll remember the things you visualised and be a little more effective. It'll take time, but gradually, you can move up to 3 items and then 4 and then even 5. Hope that helps :)
Listening to listen is deff the one I've been rlly working on! Esp as someone who's studying to become a teacher... its super important and a habit im trying to get better in! It is great to flip through your journal and read what you struggled with at one point and how you overcame it. :-) Oh and also: Stop pleasing! Do things because YOU want to do them, not because you think you HAVE to in order to be likeable.

I'm by no means a girl boss, but since we're all sharing tips I have a tip too. It's worked like magic for me. Whenever you're looking to reach a goal, make an effort to get up an hour or even half an hour before you usually do. Do that every day until you reach your goal. You know that really comfortable sort of heavenly half sleep we all have in the morning? Basically you need to sacrifice that. It's hard, really hard, but I swear it works wonders. I have no idea how or why but it does.
These are some great tips! I especially like the one about embracing failure. It does sound crazy, but it makes sense... I'm always afraid or nervous of new things because I'm afraid to fail or do poorly. Embracing failure could make things less painful. GREAT VIDEO!

wow i really needed that listening advice. when you said to make sure we are listening to listen and not to respond i began to realize that i have been listening to respond for the past few months and that's why some of my friends always got frustrated with me. i always had something to say when all they needed me to do was listen and be there.
Omg personal tip: whatever you do in the morning donut at night. Getting up in the morning is so hard for me and if you’re like me and all groggy, make it easier on yourself by fixing your to-go breakfast at night. Put your clothes on at night(shower at night). It’s so much easier to just get up and move without thinking and rushing out the door

Love this video! Here's my tip: I'm absolutely not saying that this is the most important one, because it's clearly not - but for me it's incredibly important to have a "chill state" and by that I mean no makeup, no fancy clothes and so on, AND THEN be able to get ready and feel fierce. I do some skincare, put my makeup on, do my hair and find an outfit that makes me feel both comfortable and good. The days where I leave the house without doing this routine I feel tired, not ready for the day and like going to bed. So it's not about the way it makes me look, trust me, it's all about the way it makes me feel. And it helps loads for me. Get yourself a routine, and do that every morning. If you don't like to wear makeup then just do some skincare and do your hair. Put your hair up in a nice bun, put some nail polish on and a perfume that you like.

I'm so guilty with not unplugging, like I tend to check my phone a few times while working. Aside from that, accepting failure and working to bounce back is important to me since I can feel that I have hope and there's something better to look forward to despite the experiencing failure. I cannot stress this enough but failure drives me crazy! So crazy that i love challenges, gets my determination up and narrows down on what should I do to make myself better. I'm still young, still a teen but I can say that through failure I am way ahead of my time.

Putting your physical and emotional health first before all else has to be the most important thing I live by. I have another tip! 😂 Every person has their own, very specific way of relieving stress. It can be yoga, prayer, going out with friends, lying in a dark room for a couple hours.. anything. For me, it's swimming. A good two hour long swim in my college swimming pool when there's like two other people there is the ultimate stress reliever for me. So, my point is, find that stress reliever and hold onto it for dear life.

I'm so guilty with not unplugging, like I tend to check my phone a few times while working. Aside from that, accepting failure and working to bounce back is important to me since I can feel that I have hope and there's something better to look forward to despite the experiencing failure. I cannot stress this enough but failure drives me crazy! So crazy that i love challenges, gets my determination up and narrows down on what should I do to make myself better. I'm still young, still a teen but I can say that through failure I am way ahead of my time.

I have another tip! 😂 Every person has their own, very specific way of relieving stress. It can be yoga, prayer, going out with friends, lying in a dark room for a couple hours.. anything. For me, it's swimming. A good two hour long swim in my college swimming pool when there's like two other people there is the ultimate stress reliever for me. So, my point is, find that stress reliever and hold onto it for dear life.
