the movie is made out of over 40 000 handmade paintings, some of them are based on one of the most famous polish paintings such as "babie lato" or "odlot żurawi", you should definitely watch it!

@@user-pt8iu8le5x not exactly, that studio makes movies by actually, physically painting these on canvas and then making photos to compose the film. Roughtly every second frame in the movie is an actual painting. Now what you might be thinking of is that they did hire people to pose for the frames so that especially for more tricky poses the artists would have a reference. And in order to make those references complete it was filmed and then the frames were taken from that as references. But 40 000 frames were hand painted. If you google it you can find the photos from their studio with the artists painting the paintings. On the main page of the project you can also meet and read up on the artists who do the work. Some of the cadres are based on well known older paintings by famous Polish artists such as Babie Lato by Józef Chełmoński (1875). They included those in the scenario adding paintings around them to animate them into a scene.
In February of this year there was an exhibition of the paintings from the movie in Wrocław : )
What is more, because those are actual paintings, on canvas, you can actually go to the project website and buy the paintings that were the actual cadres in the movie and hang them on your wall : ) Every painting has a name of the artist that painted it in its description. And they ship pretty much anywhere.

The clip is a compilation of scenes from the movie "Chłopi" (Peasants) based on a Nobel prize winning novel by Władysław Reymont. The movie was a blockbuster in Polish cinemas in 2023 and Polish candidate for Oscar nomination.
This song is used for a polish movie called "The Peasants". The movie was first recorded with actors irl and then the film frames were hand-painted by a hundred artists. They were supposed to reproduce the art of Polish realism from the 19th century. Many scenes depict real paintings, for example those of Józef Chełmoński.
Everything, music, and the landscape, paintings or the traditions they show in the movie depicts polish culture and slavic culture so well.
The movie is also based on Władysław Reymont's Nobel Prize-winning novel of the same title - The Peasants

Yes they are made of paintings by over 100 artists who based the style on Józef Chełmoński. (Polish painter who loves village countrysides) They created over 30000 oil paintings for the movie frames. .It is the part of moviie "Chłopi" "Peasants" which was written by Nobel Prize winner Władysłam Raymont in XIX century. This is the story of live in rural Poland at the end of XIX (time when Poland was under Russian occupation). Kayak one of the lead singers here, she is very popular in Poland. She collaborated with Goran Bregovic and Cesaria Evora. She has amazing voice.
The film was based on the book "Chłopi" by Władysław Reymont, which was awarded the Nobel Prize. Unfortunately, although the film was great, it narrowly missed out on an Oscar nomination. Both the film itself and the music. It is definitely worth watching a film showing the Polish countryside at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. It's polish village, 1883/1884. This is a story of Jagna, who was the prettiest girl in a village, an artistic soul. Her mom wanted for her to have a good future, so they arranged mariage with older, but rich widower Boryna, a land owner, whom Jagna didn't love (and her mom knew about it, but told her daughter "love comes and goes, but land remains", in your video it's 3:50 where Jagna's mom and Boryna "seals the deal", Jagna has nothing to say). Jagna is in love with Boryna's son from his first marriage. In addition, because Jagna is very beautiful, many men from treir village desires her, there are rumors about her tempting others, so the woman in the community get jealous. (in your video it's a 3:47 scene where Mayor is dancing with the bride, and his wife reaction).
This music video is a compilation of scenes from the movie, most scenes are from Janga and Boryna's wedding, some are secret meetings of lovers, and when she's in a red dress she's in a dancing whith youth and the one she loves (and it's when the old men realizes what's going on).
I won't spoil the end of the story, but the 2023 film is very good, I highly recommend watching it if you can.

You should see another song/soundtrack to the movie “Peasant” (pl."Chłopi"): L.U.C. & RB Film Orchestra feat. Kwiat Jabłoni, Bela Komoszyńska - Koniec Lata - Chłopi/The Peasants. It is much better than Jesień - Tańcuj.
Katie Melua recorded English version but Polish original is much much better, I think.
