In December 2022, we boarded the HAL Konigsdam in San Diego. We got to the Port of San Diego about 90 minutes early and port personnel made us wait for 75 minutes outside the port. In February 2023, we boarded the Celebrity Millennium at Fort Lauderdale. We got to the port 90 minutes early so we sat on the bench outside. A ship officer saw us sitting out there and asked if we were feeling Ok. When we said we were waiting, he told us to come on board immediately. That was really great. We are not good at gauging how long it will take us to park and shuttle or take an Uber to port ...
It's no trouble for me to stay up for check-in. Carnival's check-in starts two weeks from Embarkation Day at Midnight, Miami Time. I live on the West Coast, so I can check in at 9:00pm the night before.
Carnival in Galveston checks your check-in time outside the terminal, before you even get in line. And yes, we stay up until midnight Miami time to get the earliest possible check-in time.
For a first Disney cruise: If you like small ships, the Magic or Wonder; if you want an all around Disney experience for a week- the Fantasy or Dream; if you want the newest with the latest and greatest- the Wish for a short cruise or the Treasure for a week long one. My favorite is whichever one I am on at the time. Least expensive- Magic out of Galveston. I am booked on that one in February and the Treasure in January.
I would walk and get on Vacations to Go and find another cruise. I absolutely dislike the Bahamas ports. I have two future bookings to the ABC islands on Princess and Carnival.
If I flew in ..I gotta get in the boat. My families schedule isn't as liquid as mine. I can basically go whenever I want. If I drive( Bayonne or NEW YORK) I'm taking the refund and we'll figure it out from there
Congrats Jason, well deserved honour. We've sailed on 4 Disney cruises...all on the older ships....absolutely love them...Even took a TCM cruise on the Magic....It would be my suggestion to start on the older ships...just to see if you like the different way Disney treats guests...and no casino....
In June we went on the Carnival Vista. When checking in they asked us what time our check in was? And.... We were having propulsion issues on that cruise. Not that they outright told us, but we've been on enough cruises to know better.
Hey Jason!! Love your channel. I had an issue one time with boarding time. Our time was 1:00 - 1:30. The gentleman that looked at our boarding pass said we had to wait until 1:30 (it was 1:00). I told him that it was 1:00 and that’s our boarding time. He argued with me so we went to someone else who agreed with me. Not sure what was going on with that man!!! We are booked on the Vista in October and I would be VERY upset if our itinerary was changed since we’ve never been to Aruba. We’ve been to Nassau so much that we don’t get off the ship anymore. Keep up the great work!!!
Wow - I can’t believe he argued with you, maybe he was new? I had that happen getting on Princess, the young lady was in tears and said it was her first day and she had no clue what she was doing. (And of course we all felt awful for her) Fingers crossed 🤞 for your Oct cruise. Aruba is amazing, so is Curacao If you love beaches, consider the west side of the island beaches in Curacao. Thank you for watching, appreciate the kind words.
I'm going on that cruise no matter what cause I only get 2 weeks a year. But I'm either negotiating on some FCC of at least 25% and or I'm using my travel insurance for trip interruption to get some of that back. Congratulations on 100k subs!
Congratulations 🎈🍾🎊 🎉 I’m local and I would still go on the Cruise even if there going to a different location. I would ask for more state credit and a discount towards my next trip!
What a bummer if your itinerary is changed. I’d probably stay on the ship and rebook the ABC islands for a later date, but I live in FL and it’s only about a 3 hr drive to most ports.
If I was local I will cancel as it is not near to the ports I wanted to visit and planned for. If I was flying then I have no other choice but to take the cruise. But like you said besides the OBC a future cruise credit would have been nice.
Let’s Go Disney! I recommend either the Magic if you like smaller ships, the Fantasy its the best of the fleet or the Disney Wish if you like a newer ship! Congratulations on 100K subscribers Jason! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Count down to ALASKA ....And '''' GOOD WORK '''' on Hitting 100 K ...Now 2000 , it will come Quick.. Either Fly or Drive We would stay on Board ... Bags pack ? Ours are ...
There are still good time slots when I get up in the morning. Not to.mention I'd probably get confused and wonder where I was flying Southwest in the middle of the night.
I have never had my check-in time looked at. Ports employees (not Carnival employees by the way) only care that you have a boarding pass. They could care less what your check-in time is. I have made mention of this in numerous cruise reviews sent to Carnival and nothing has changed and never will.
I would have to stay on the ship due to my fligh…but I would be very upset …I feel like they could give a credit towards another cruse…400.00 is not much!!
Changed itinerary: We had that experience on a cruise a couple years ago. It was scheduled for New England and Canada. Hurricane conditions in New England made that area unsafe. We went South to the Caribbean. I don't remember the perks exactly, but on a 2K ship there were only about 900 of us taking the different itinerary. It was not what we had expected, but the fairly empty ship was really nice. And, BTW, we drove to the port only a couple hours from home.
Omg, you need different clothes 😂. I have down jacket and down vest, wool sweater packed for my Canada cruise in September. I was cold the last time I took this similar cruise 13 years ago.
I would be sooooo disappointed......I have no interest in the Bahamas because I have been there way too many times. I fly to ports, so going back at the last minute would be an issue. I think everyone deserved a full refund!!!!!
In the event that the ship starts to sink and there are not enough lifeboats available for everyone on board: Will female crew members be rescued while male passengers be left to drown? What about old women in their 50s, 60s and older, who have already lived out their days on earth, who are now in life's departure lounge, with one foot in the grave? Will those old women be given seats in the lifeboats and rescued, while young men in their 20s be left on the sinking ship to drown?

For your first cruise on Disney, I highly suggest sailing on the Fantasy ship. It's my favorite ship so far!
I’m in Fl and I do it whenever. I don’t stay up. I like a later check in.
You made 100,000! Congratulations!! 🥂🎉🎈

I would be flying in. However, we never book ONE cruise in Florida. It is usually two or three.
If I flew in ..I gotta get in the boat. My families schedule isn't as liquid as mine. I can basically go whenever I want. If I drive( Bayonne or NEW YORK) I'm taking the refund and we'll figure it out from there

doing my first cruise in two weeks on.... vista . Nothing can surprise anymore and I'm prepared for everything now lol. Definitely will stay on
In June we went on the Carnival Vista. When checking in they asked us what time our check in was? And.... We were having propulsion issues on that cruise. Not that they outright told us, but we've been on enough cruises to know better.
Has anyone started a go fund me for Jayson? Poor guy only has one blue shirt.
He owns multiple of the same blue shirt
They are cheaper by the dozen.
He's a frugal guy 😊
Maybe he just likes blue. Why do you care?
I definitely wait to check in. I will happily go to the Bahamas and take the on broad credit.
I live in Canada and cruise every year. I would get off the ship and enjoy florida. I dive down.
Congrats 100k 🎉
Congrats on 100k🎉
We're in Tennessee and we do check in at midnight.
Yes, I stay up late to check in.

@@JaysonJudson not to my knowledge.
Carnavan checked my time. It was my first time on that cruise line.

I would take the credit. I spend over a grand on airfare etc.. so if the ship goes, I goes..
Congratulations 🎈🍾🎊 🎉

Why are people still booking the VISTA??? SMH
Awesome and congrats on the goal
Jayson what cruise line are you taking to Alaska?

what hotel are you staying at from the Alaska departure city?

@@sct4040 We did get enough advanced warning to make a quick adjustment to our clothes.
