I guess in melee slasher terms that would be morphing. Not sure if you still reply, but do you have your inputs swapped? By that, i mwan are your attacks normally "alted" and when you hold alt, do they swing normally? Hopefully that made sense. I'm asking because my overhead comes out the opposite direction of yours after performing a counter against a slash. Thanks.
Yes, my inputs are reversed. For example, when I left-click, it comes out as an alt slash (left side) instead of a normal slash (right side). When I counter with an alt slash and feint into an overhead, the overhead comes out on the left side instead of the right. If you're wondering why I play like this, some alt attacks have slightly longer range, different animations, and most players are conditioned to see drags/accels come out on the same side as everyone else. I also like to spin off counters while rotating left. When I counter alt slash and feint into another slash while rotating left, the last slash in the spin comes out on the left as an unexpected accel. You might have also noticed that both my slash and stab are reversed, but my overhead isn’t. This is because I like to do single counter overhead toe-drags on the left side of the opponent. Obviously, this is all down to preference. Hope that makes sense.
I met a player who would abuse this for his offense and no one on the duel server was able to beat him..really unhealthy and disgusting move that definitely convinced people to not play duels or fight that person. They need to fix it and thank god you posted this video so I could start abusing this move and know how to do it until devs take notice and fixes it😂

Can confirm this is broken and based but its hard to pull of consistently so its fair. I think all high level duels in the game are basically about breaking the game.

@@l33thaxor33 i countered the slash with a counter slash and then feinted into overhead. to reverse inputs, bind and swap the normal attacks (slash, stab, overhead) with the alt attacks (alt slash, alt stab, alt overhead). these binds only work if you have hard binds for every type of attack (normal and alt attacks). if you're using the alt key to swap sides or you're on controller, you might have issues.

I completely understand that tricks like the Wiggle Drag may seem intimidating at first glance but it's important to remember that you can beat everything in this game with solid fundamentals. Keep practicing and never give up, I believe in you.
@@akmshowcase its not that it seems intimidating, it's just exhausting seeing the same thing happen over and over again when everyone already seems to be having fun playing the game as it was intended. ive seen this happen two times already and making the skill ceiling even higher alienates 90% of the games population, making 90% of it go away over time.
@@xmlviking12 I think Torn Banner did a really good job of preventing this in Chivalry 2 without removing skill expression. In team fights, held block and active parry give the majority of the player base an answer for advanced mechanics that would normally steam roll them in a game like Mordhau. In duels, niche mechanics make your playstyle more unique but solid fundamentals ultimately determine the win.
you can make anything work with good conditioning. if you try to jab someone out of this, and they decide to let the first slash go or accel the overhead instead, there's a good chance you will get hit.

I use 5.0 in-game and 1600 DPI. Use whatever you're used to as long as it's not painfully slow

you can jump the overhead at the end, delay your counter, jab, make yourself hard to hit by running around, gamble or hold block

you don't need alt attacks, you can do it with normal attacks too! the sides just swap
Pretty sure you can alt attack on Console. Down on Left stick + RT/etc.
