X380 Yoga keyboard doesn't retract/lower. The deck around it raises. Same thing, but different :-D . And it still has the rubber feet on the bezel that the X1 Yoga 3rd+ dropped.

I am considering purchase of used 3rd gen X1 Yoga, or the used L390, the 8th gen. Which one is better for upgradeability and screen (nits) but comfort reading (a lot)?

My yoga 370 died suddenly a year ago and wouldn't turn on at all. I thought the motherboard had died, I removed everything (Ram and nvme) and nothing still wont turn on (not even the boot logo) ended up trying a different nvme, and it worked. now a year later still works. I'm not sure why the laptop acted this way cause of a faulty drive. weird. ( I also got it refurbished from Ebay)

My version is older 20LFCTO-1WW ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 3 Silver. If shopping on Amazon, I would consider this amzn.to/3bSavVc
My specs are Intel i5-8350U, 16GB RAM, 500GB SSD. The link I shared costs about what I paid, maybe a little less and boosts the RAM and SSD, which is what I would now recommend. If you will be storing video, high res photo files, or games, the 1TB SSD is a must.
