i feel like this is the biggest admiral L we have ever seen so far. an admiral on par with akainu gets utterly destroyed by retired old garp. then he teams up with the number 1 guy from the blackbeard pirates and they proceed to lose 2 vs 1 and in the end they have to go after koby to get a cheap attack on garp. its no wonder that imu had to awake the holy knights with how weak even the strongest admirals are. it literally took garp way past his prime being impaled by a katana for kuzan to just barely be able to handle him and then still get knocked out with the rest of the blackbeard pirates taking him hostage. had shyriou not been there garp would have wiped out half of the blackbeard fleet and gotten away with it
Garp's strength is way over admiral level tbh even in old age. Not even akainu is on par with him. Old age doesn't necessarily weaken this one piece guys(see whitebeard or rayleigh for example). But i also get what you are saying.

Reminder, every single commander present was okay, and none of them had any respect for Garp. WhiteBeard had a better showing. Akainu facing off against all the WB Commanders + Croc was even taking people down. At the end of the day though, he saved Coby, so mission successful I guess.

Kind of hard to say who would win with both in their prime but considering that the story literally says prime garp fought on equal ground with Roger, I don't see how we can say for sure that Kaido>Prime Garp.
