- On Sunday, December 29th 2019 Alkaloid were the special musical guests on the popular Dutch TV show Top 2000 a Gogo. They were asked to play a fragment of one of their own songs and then re-arrange 3 classic pop songs in a extreme metal context for the quiz segment of the show.

I don't understand a word, but I'm sure they are all very amazed with Alkaloid. It's incredible that there's a show that will feature a metal band.
It might be because of Florian's classical music background, he's kinda known in the Netherlands and has composed music for an orchestra, he's a classically trained musician and composer, so many of these normies here might have heard of him and wanted to see him with one of his metal bands to see how he would be in a metal setting.
I also understand very little Dutch, so there's that too.

After seeing this I wouldn't mind a covers EP by Alkaloid. Seems like they can really twist and contort these other songs into something unique and interesting while staying true to the feel of the original.

The free exposure on a national tv show? To have an audience made up of your seemingly more average, "everyday" type of people and have that audience actually pay attention and APPLAUD what they're doing? Like for real, tell me. Because I don't get what was negative about this for the band...
