Dream Flight - Cuesta to Lake Lopez and back!

Flying to Lake Lopez from my local mountain launch has been a dream since I started and heard the story from my instructor. I quickly found out how unreliable our local mountains are after I started flying on my own trying to accomplish this. I found it easier to just drive a couple hours away for more reliable sites and spent years flying bigger mountains, longer flights, and pushing my skills both an Acro and X country pilot….but still the dream remained on my local mountain. 6 years later it finally happened and not only did I make it to the lake, I made it all the way back to launch!
