Sto Nino de Cebu is the oldest Catholic relic in the Philippines. It was given by Magellan to Juana, wife of Humabon, chieftain of Cebu in 1521. When Legaspi returned to the island in 1565, they found the Sto Nino in a house where the Basilica of the Sto Nino stand.
Wow, I am very excited to see this video especially the Chris vlogs here in the Philippines. I am from Cebu I always watching the vlogs of Chris, I am fan of him. I am following his videos. Thanks for coming and exploring Philippines especially in Cebu. Hope you enjoy exploring Cebu❤
Hello Gladys ! Thank you for visiting our country Philippines, as well as my hometown Cebu City ! There are alot of places to explore. Pls come visit the famous “ Temple of Leah , that looks and feels like your in Greece“ , about 30mins from downtown cebu city, and the “ Sirao Garden “ , which is our little Amsterdam . Also if you are staying or coming back by January, its gonna be our biggest festival in cebu city which is the “ Sinulog Festival “ held every 3rd Sunday of January each year. Alot of dancing in the street & fluvial parade. Have fun ! ❤🇵🇭😁
Love your aura. Thank you for your warm treatment towards the people in Cebu. Came across your channel for a very good reason: I so miss my hometown and watching your video makes my heart so full. Your vibes exude utmost modesty which makes your video even more interesting and exciting to watch. Waiting for your next virtual walking tour, Gladys! You truly are beautiful inside and out. - Armie from Cebu City

@@searatravels I love the raw style in your video here in Cebu City. Healthy reminder, just make sure to be vigilant since you are alone especially if you are in that area. Cebu looks lovely! Such friendly locals! Looking forward to this series! We had these late lato things in England in the 90s, i think we called them clackers 😂
@Seara....You should check out the waterfalls in Cebu as they are all amazing with Gatorade blue water and you can literally swim, jump. slide and swing into the water as they have multiple deep pools and they're so clear they look so blue. Cebu has 110 waterfalls system you should check out 2 to 5 of them in your visit to Cebu: Kawasan Falls is temporarily close to walk-in visitors unless you join a canyoneering tour which happens to be one of the most popular activities in south Cebu. Other waterfalls I suggest you to visit are Aguinid Falls, Inambakan Falls, Mantayupan Falls, Dau Falls, Binalayan/Hidden Falls. They're all very easy to access to.
@Seara...You should buy a ukulele in Cebu as a souvenir because Cebu is known in the country for its world-class ukulele/guitar industry. That's why you can find ukuleles and guitars sold almost in every souvenir shop. Mactan is the center of guitar making industry, not only in Cebu but in the whole country. Local and international musicians have flown to Cebu just to visit and place their custom-made orders for guitars. Visit Robinson's Galleria Cebu and you'll find a giant colorful guitar installation at the mall's main atrium, standing two stories high.
Guapa/guapo is beautiful in Cebuano language. In Manila, they speak Tagalog, so they say maganda for women and still guwapo for men. Most Filipinos will count in Spanish..most words will be in Spanish, calle is kalye, kotse-car, sarado-cerado, bintana-ventana, kutsara-spoon, plato, azucar-asukal

The elderly lady near the cathedral is playfully inquiring about a potential romantic partner, adding a touch of humor to the conversation Lol. Furthermore, she's also interested in knowing the current exchange rate between the US Dollar and the Philippine Peso, possibly assuming that you're a country using the dollar, USD to Peso conversion is 1:55. Also, it's worth noting that the bracelet vendor's seemingly stern demeanor is actually her natural expression and not a sign of annoyance.
