Agreed, Chow King & Jolibee are the same group! Best Lechon my PH Girlfriend and I found was House of Lechon in Cebu, just got back from the Philippines again 3 weeks ago @
Jollibee: Is famous for it’s fried chicken joy and burgers plus much much more. A very children friendly atmosphere! Chow King: Is known for being a Filipino perspective on Chinese food. A Filipino Chinese fusion style fast food chain owned and operated by the same makers of Jollibee! It may look like Chinese food but it has a Filipino twist in flavors.
Chowking is one of the fast food chains that is under Jollibee Foods Corp. Both are sisters and have the same owner actually. P.S. If you want to try the best lechon, visit carcar city in the south. I live here.
@Seara...The different sauces they gave you are gravy for fried chicken, hot chili sauce for the siomai and the sweet spicy sauce is for siopao (steamed bun). But you can eat the sauce however you want it.
The gravy is usually for the fried chicken, and the sweet n sour sauce may be for the fried dumplings In the hierarchy of favorites, for me alone Chowking is above Jollibee because at any given time I have this bias for chinese food except for the authentic native Filipino foods
Halo Halo means 1) A mixture of different ingredients 2) Mix it well before eating. Another place you should try is Mang Inasal for the grilled chicken and also Halo Halo. Mang Inasal, Chowking is owned by Jollibee Corporation.
Xin chao from Vietnam. Chowking is my favorite fastfood to go especially lunchtime. I used to order Lauriat because it has a little of everything. Its been awhile since my last visit to that place though.
Hahaha, you are so cute noticing those pigeons on that vendor guy and you have a beautiful soul of giving your left-overs to him, God bless you. My favorite in Chowking is Chowfun with steamed Beef Siomai and of course, my ultimate, the Halo-halo. Thanks for exploring our city, Cebu, Gladys!

"on" is used on a place or situation where you can stand on that place. eg. I'm on a train. "in" is used in a place or situations where you can't stand. eg. I'm in the taxi.
Halo-halo does not mean mix! The word Halo is mix but as per the actual spelling with a U which is Halu-halo is means assorted. It refers to the ingredients. It is not necessary to mix it and it is not actually mixing, it is melting the ice to form a semi milkshake like liquid.
Hi Gladys ! Also try the famous “ Mang Inasal “ in downtown cebu city. They have great grilled barbecue chicken, and unlimited rice. Hope you love it . 😁❤️
Halo-halo is a filipino word which means stir & mix. We normally stir & mix it first to flavor before we consume to dissolve the sugar and other ingredients in it.
@@ronneldizon792 i'm talking about the halo halo as a VERB, not the halo halo as a NOUN. read and understand the first comment and my response to it first before making your comment!

Hi, yeah I call it "Choke" King (choking) lol 😂 The only thing I like from them is the fried chicken, and halo-halo which is good, but Mang Inasal has the best halo-halo. You should try theirs. Frikin Jollibee used to serve great halo halo, don't know why they stopped. Safe travels!
the sauce you like and put in the chao fan was actually for the siopao. The brown sauce is the gravy for the chicken and the dark sauce is meant as a dip for the siomai
You have to mix halo halo well before you eat it the word halo halo came from the word mix mix I love your generosity giving food to other people or sharing food to others
"Halo-Halo" basically has two words meaning. Firstly it means "mix-mix" or "stir-stir". Before eating, mix all ingredients by stirring or mixing it, in the process you are mixing it all down until its liquidated all ingridients with the ice. Secondly "halo-halo" also means "variety" of mixed sweet deserts, like jellies, beans, tapioca, ice cream, leche flan, milk, crunchy pinipig, sugar, etc.😊👍 Jollibee and Chowking are sister companies. Pour or dip the brown gravy with the chicken. Pour or dip the oily chilli sauce with the siomai as well.
The chilli sauce is for the fried siomai on top of your chaofan, the gravy is for the fried chicken, and the sweetsauce is for the siopao. I like you trying the sauces on your rice which i love also myself specially the gravy
the best halo halo in cebu city is in barangay labangon in meltons or moonbis for me they are the best in cebu city to offer..... in lechon many have great lechons knowns ones are from zubuchon, ricos lechon and lechon house . and many recommended you carcar its the chicharon is best their. lastly our pasalubongs best it means food packages for your love ones buy some dried mangoes and otap shamrocks its my recommendations for authentic foods in cebu city.....
You should try buko pandan, crema de fruta (or mango graham cake), leche flan, cassava cake, polvoron, egg pie too, they are all amazing Filipino desserts
The crew delivered your food despite the restaurant being a self-service, maybe because they thought that you, a foreigner, are waiting for your food to be delivered. Local Filipinos already know that fastfood restaurants are self-service.
Jollibee, Chowking and Mang Inasal are owned by Jollibee Food Corporation. Halo-halo is much better in Chowking. Next you try the best Grilled Chicken at "Mang Inasal", and choose Unlimited Rice so you can refill your Rice many, many times. Bon Appetit.

Also, i think that Sto. Niño bracelet seller was not upset because you didn’t buy a lot from her, they are already used to that. I think she’s just not in a perky mood cause she can’t speak English well and can’t communicate with you better, she couldn’t even understand when you were asking for help putting on your bracelet. Then she had to look for change from the other store seller. Totally nothing against you. You are cool. You have a happy and jolly personality. I love how you talk nicely and with a smile to everyone you meet. Enjoy! 😊 Also waiting for your new vid! 😄
Gladys, everything you ordered there is Chinese foods except the Halo Halo. The bao is a standard Pork bun, the paper under it is used to prevent the bread/bao from sticking in the steamer basket. Stay inside at night, it's very dangerous!
You're so fun to watch, so genuine and so appreciative.
Oh thank you!

Halo-halo is a filipino word which means stir & mix. We normally stir & mix it first to flavor before we consume to dissolve the sugar and other ingredients in it.
It literally translates to mix mix. XD
you're confusing her. halo halo loosely translates to mix mix, not stir and mix.
Halo halo not only stands for mix mix, it's also stands for assorted ingredients or mix ingredients.
