    Great video, can't wait to see more. I'm fascinated by konyakku - is it a common food in Japan? What kind of dishes can you make with it? 🙏

      Konnyaku is really popular food in Japan.
      I often use it. My favorite Konnyaku dish is gyusuji nikomi! It’s my 40th RUclips.
      Another dish is Chikuzen-ni. It’s my 231st RUclips. There are many other konnyaku dishes. I’ll upload them someday.
      If you have friends who are interested in Japanese foods, please recommend my channel to them😊💕

    I tired making konnyaku so many times but it always tastes like fish somehow... am I doing something wrong? >.< I even tried boiling it for longer

      Konnyaku has a kind of peculiar flavor. Do you mean this flavor? I usually season konnyaku thicker than any other ingredients, then it turns delicious!
      You should try it! Anyway, thank you for your message 😊

      I followed your recipe tonight and it turned out much better than the last few times so thank you!
      There is still this odd fish taste though that I don't remember tasting when I tried it in Japan.
      I'll keep trying to make it :)

    How to make konnyaku block?

    • @cookingclass5
      @cookingclass5  3 года назад

      Wow! I’ve never made konnyaku block, but they make it by grating konnyaku-imo or konnyaku yam and mix with calcium hydroxide that is a coagulant.
      Can you get it?
      Anyway, thank you for message 😊
