Tried preparing konyakku with your video and I absolutely loved it! Nothing like this in Central America, where my parents are from, that I'm aware of. It's delicious. Nice texture. Especially useful as someone into bodybuilding and who wants to compete in powerlifting, a weight class sport.
i have limited access to japanese condiments and other food but oddly enough, I found a konjac at the store and decided to try your recipe! it's so simple yet so flavorful it's like eating pork steak sans the guilt and cholesterol lol
I used a package of konnyaku in a Kenchinjiru for some bulk, but these recipe looks more tasty. I will try it out. I am now comfortable with using butter with soy, sake and mirin and it really elevates sauces. I read that it is high in calcium and dietary fiber, which matches the diet I am trying to cook for.
すごいです!I bought yam cakes for the first time today and I’m gonna try this tonight. I really want to try oden one day too ^_^ I was always curious about the “little gray things” as I used to call them hehe
cool!! glad you like the recipe!! hope it turns out delicious!! Oden is on my list, but its an autumn/winter dish, so I am planning to make it this autumn!!
I've eaten Konnyaku before 2 days the first time. First I thought it is a kind fungi. Then I looked on the Website, where I ordered and then Googled it. Gosh, Tofu and Konnyaku are two of the greatest asian things
Hey Taiji, I have a question for you: What is your favourite japanese food and have you ever shared it on the channel? I‘d love to try it out! btw great video as always!
ummm, its hard to say what is my most favorite... Karaage, Tempura, Sushi, Sashimi (including filleting fish). Ive pretty much made all my favorite dishes, maybe except for Una-ju, for which I need Unagi, which is quite impossible to find outside of Japan.
@@taijiskitchen Have you looked for frozen unagi? I have lived in both the US and Europe and I find it most commonly sold frozen. I think though there's a lot of unagi shortages right now even in Japan.
@@Gewehr_3 that's an idea for a video! thanx! but no I haven't looked for it, will try to find it next time im at a large asian market! to actually prepare Unagi is only for pros, it requires great skill and better eaten in restaurant. therefore most restaurant, where they serve Unagi, they only serve Unagi!
@@salemthara7839 oh, you mean how to make Konnyaku from raw potato? thats a difficult, cuz you need the special Konnyku-potato, which is even in Japan barely sold as a raw potato. If you really want to know, you can check this out. ruclips.net/video/s4hLiM-xPic/видео.html
