He was misdiagnosed for Lyme disease,I think it was 10 yrs they gave him meds and treatment for everything but the Lyme, sorry for all the comments,just getting ya some info , he's an artist that you'll truly appreciate

Lyme disease is actually known to produce mental issues among the other symptoms he experienced. He has been healing himself through treatments so he is a lot better than he was but body is now permanent damaged due to how long the Lyme disease was left untreated it could have been prevented. I just saw your Hi Ren reaction, and put this journal entry of Ren's as my comment to that reaction. jAN 01, 2023 rEN~ Up until I was 9 years old, I would intermittently hear a voice in my head that was not my own. The voice was distinctly different to mine, and always negative. It would self criticise or urge me to do things I knew to be morally wrong. The most peculiar thing about the voice was that it took no effort on my behalf to produce. My own thoughts always felt like there was a process that required effort to bring them to the forefront of my mind, this voice appeared as though it was spoken by another. The sentences felt predetermined like they had already been constructed. I remember very vividly at 9 years old, becoming very frustrated with the voice. I stood in my back yard, internally screaming at the voice to be silent again and again, and it did. In a flash there was silence, to the point where my head felt like an empty room. I wasn't used to the quiet and that voice never returned. It almost felt lonely in my head. When I got older I had intermittent bouts with auditory hallucinations where I would hear perfect symphonies, usually at night when drifting off to sleep. They were so clear that they sounded like they were emanating from a radio in the corner of my room. I knew they weren't there, but for some reason they never came with the feeling of fear. I also recall sitting on a bus at the age of 15, and hearing the sound of a crowded room, with about 100 voices chattering away, I was the only person apart from the driver on the bus. These experiences were always very brief, and few and far between. My last hallucination was during an intense bout of psychosis in 2015, and was my first visual hallucination. I was walking down a pavement after jumping out my mums car in a crossroads in a moment of frustration and distress with my condition. I was trying to run from myself. What appeared to be a homeless man with a dark complexion approached me, and asked me what was wrong. I explained that I had been sick most my life, and I wasn't sure I had the strength to continue. He looked at me, and smiled and told me 'everything is going to be okay in the end Ren.' I had not told him my name. There was something so overpoweringly sincere about this very simple message, which brought with it an overwhelming feeling of inner peace, and in a flash, he vanished. My rational brain always linked these experiences to what the doctors have told me, that there are parts of my brain compromised by the autoimmunity in my body. That the myelin sheaths surrounding the complex electrical system that conduct my thoughts were damaged and compromised, causing these lucid experiences that I knew did not exist inside the physical world. The part of me that edges away from logical and rational thought always attributed these thoughts to some kind of otherworldly intervention, that made my thoughts the battleground of some spiritual tug of war. For a long time I never really acknowledged this part of myself, for with it brought the danger and stigma of sounding like a crazy person. I decided with my latest release, to the best of my ability, to capture and express this chess match of thought. Hi Ren comes out in just over 24 hours. I can't wait for you all to hear it.

As a middle aged Brightonian, I loved seeing Ren and The Big Push busk. I now I feel like a very proud remote auntie to a chap, an artist I have never spoken to. Proud of Ren I am, so your feeling is shared. I am commenting before I get to the end of the reaction, but this is a fine reaction so far, and I can’t see this experience changing.

He raps, sings all genres (rock, raggae, blues, jazz, hip hop etc) he makes all his own beats, produces, directs, edits, mixes, writes his own lyrics and acts! Most of his performances are 1 take ! I felt the exact same way about the ending verse he full out sings. I cried, from appreciation for the lyrics’ relevance, the beautiful melody carrying them, and empathy, for this amazing soul who put them together and shared them with us.

Renegades will definitely be on this one, the beacon has been lit. But for real though, this is a great introduction to Ren. It showcases a little bit of his talents in each aspect of his skill sets. If you want to see more of his bars, check out "the hunger" and "animal flow". Money game parts 1,2, and 3 are a staple of his, great flow and storytelling with great messages. "The tale of Jenny and Screech" is a very emotional one, could be triggering, but it is one of the greatest storytelling I've ever heard in a set of songs. If you do Jenny and Screech, do the longform video that's like 12 minutes long. Keep up the great content man, you do it right where you pause to actually say your thoughts and aren't just "emoji reacting" and letting a song play.

Ren's biggest gift is the ability to tug on your emotions. His songs tend to touch on dark subjects like chronic illness, su1cide and depression. But don't think he is just about dark subjects with over 200 songs on RUclips alone there is something for everyone. He can sing reggae, soul and rock. He can rap faster than Eminem, and can change his flow on a dime. He has mastered dozens of instruments, writes most of his own beats and produces most of his music. Welcome to the RENation. He saved my life. Not exaggerating at all. I've had years of hard core therapy, abusive childhoods do that to a person. It didn't do much. I was lost and afraid. Then I found Ren. He gave me hope. The hope remains and I will be forever a grateful person who adores Ren.
I'm glad someone finally commented on just how difficult it is to do the singing intro :) For more background, Ren is Welsh lives in England and has been in Canada for the last 2yrs undergoing stem cell treatment for damage to the brain lining due to undiagnosed Lyme Disease (not common in the UK). He was pumped full of drugs for everything but Lyme disease which caused psychosis. He was bed bound for a number of years and had little else to do but watch youtube videos on music.He truthfully never thought he'd see his 30th birthday (he's now 34) He's independent, plays almost every instrument even drums which he says he plays badly, produces everything, performs most videos live, poet bard rapper beatboxer singer producer editor actor storyteller....he is a rarity that encompasses probably everything in music a true all round performer. He has a great team of his best mates particularly Samuel Perry-Falvey who is his main videographer. This video was made in his mate's basement on a cheap video recorder in one night and as you can see was performed live Just when you think you've sussed him you'll find yet another talent every time you play a video of Rens'

It's been a year since I discovered Ren thru this song, and here I am STILL watching other people react to it, KNOWING that they're feeling things no music has ever made them feel before, and they're about to begin a journey with Ren that will likely change them in some significant way. This song is incredible...but so is everything he does. It's all unique. It fits no genre, but combines them ALL. There's a revolution happening with music right now...the likes of which we haven't seen since the birth of rock 'n roll...and Ren is the king leading that revolution. Make no mistake, tho...there IS also a queen...and that is Chinchilla. Somehow these two incredible artists...these talents that come along maybe once every other generation...they found each other, and have made some mind-blowing music together. Chinchilla's talent rival's Ren's, but in such a different way. Even their styles are drastically different (though neither adhere to any genre). Despite their differences...when they come together to make music, the result is unbelievable. "Chalk Outlines" and "How to be Me" are amazing songs, and I can't wait for their future collaborations. Chinchilla on her own is incredible, too. Her voice will blow you away...but it's everything else that makes her so unbelievable. Her lyrics; the music itself, which she produces on a laptop in a shed in her backyard; her videos, which seem like big-budget mainstream videos, but are really just her and her talented friends; her LOOK, which is unique and amazing, especially considering that she designs and makes most of her own outfits herself; and most of all, HER. Who she is. I've seen several interviews with her, and like Ren, she's very genuine, humble, and just a great person. I highly reccomend checking out her duets with Ren, then her solo stuff (especially "Fingers - Live for HungerTV", which flawlessly displays every aspect of what makes her such an incredible talent). Ren and Chinchilla are ushering in a new era in music, and I can't wait to see everything their genius inspires.

I’ve finally found someone who’s behind me in finding this incredible artist. I’ve been down the rabbit hole for 4 straight days now. To the point where sleep is an unwanted interruption. It’s a ride! I had NEVER watched a reaction video in my life before. But, Hi Ren has done something so profound to me that I needed to see if others had the same reaction. I’ve lost count now of how many ‘lightbulb moments’ I’ve been witness to. I’m in my mid 40s and I’ve been stuck in my “90s music is the best” mindset since….the 90s. This is waking up from a coma.

He was misdiagnosed for Lyme disease,I think it was 10 yrs they gave him meds and treatment for everything but the Lyme, sorry for all the comments,just getting ya some info , he's an artist that you'll truly appreciate

Sadly part of his misdiagnosis was bipolar disorder, they loaded up with psychiatric drugs and led to him actually developing psychosis.
Lyme disease is actually known to produce mental issues among the other symptoms he experienced.
He has been healing himself through treatments so he is a lot better than he was but body is now permanent damaged due to how long the Lyme disease was left untreated it could have been prevented.

Up until I was 9 years old, I would intermittently hear a voice in my head that was not my own. The voice was distinctly different to mine, and always negative. It would self criticise or urge me to do things I knew to be morally wrong. The most peculiar thing about the voice was that it took no effort on my behalf to produce. My own thoughts always felt like there was a process that required effort to bring them to the forefront of my mind, this voice appeared as though it was spoken by another. The sentences felt predetermined like they had already been constructed.
I remember very vividly at 9 years old, becoming very frustrated with the voice. I stood in my back yard, internally screaming at the voice to be silent again and again, and it did. In a flash there was silence, to the point where my head felt like an empty room. I wasn't used to the quiet and that voice never returned. It almost felt lonely in my head.
When I got older I had intermittent bouts with auditory hallucinations where I would hear perfect symphonies, usually at night when drifting off to sleep. They were so clear that they sounded like they were emanating from a radio in the corner of my room. I knew they weren't there, but for some reason they never came with the feeling of fear. I also recall sitting on a bus at the age of 15, and hearing the sound of a crowded room, with about 100 voices chattering away, I was the only person apart from the driver on the bus.
These experiences were always very brief, and few and far between.
My last hallucination was during an intense bout of psychosis in 2015, and was my first visual hallucination. I was walking down a pavement after jumping out my mums car in a crossroads in a moment of frustration and distress with my condition. I was trying to run from myself. What appeared to be a homeless man with a dark complexion approached me, and asked me what was wrong. I explained that I had been sick most my life, and I wasn't sure I had the strength to continue. He looked at me, and smiled and told me 'everything is going to be okay in the end Ren.' I had not told him my name. There was something so overpoweringly sincere about this very simple message, which brought with it an overwhelming feeling of inner peace, and in a flash, he vanished.
My rational brain always linked these experiences to what the doctors have told me, that there are parts of my brain compromised by the autoimmunity in my body. That the myelin sheaths surrounding the complex electrical system that conduct my thoughts were damaged and compromised, causing these lucid experiences that I knew did not exist inside the physical world.
The part of me that edges away from logical and rational thought always attributed these thoughts to some kind of otherworldly intervention, that made my thoughts the battleground of some spiritual tug of war.
For a long time I never really acknowledged this part of myself, for with it brought the danger and stigma of sounding like a crazy person.
I decided with my latest release, to the best of my ability, to capture and express this chess match of thought.

As a middle aged Brightonian, I loved seeing Ren and The Big Push busk. I now I feel like a very proud remote auntie to a chap, an artist I have never spoken to. Proud of Ren I am, so your feeling is shared.

Renegades will definitely be on this one, the beacon has been lit. But for real though, this is a great introduction to Ren. It showcases a little bit of his talents in each aspect of his skill sets.
If you want to see more of his bars, check out "the hunger" and "animal flow". Money game parts 1,2, and 3 are a staple of his, great flow and storytelling with great messages. "The tale of Jenny and Screech" is a very emotional one, could be triggering, but it is one of the greatest storytelling I've ever heard in a set of songs. If you do Jenny and Screech, do the longform video that's like 12 minutes long.
Keep up the great content man, you do it right where you pause to actually say your thoughts and aren't just "emoji reacting" and letting a song play.

For more background, Ren is Welsh lives in England and has been in Canada for the last 2yrs undergoing stem cell treatment for damage to the brain lining due to undiagnosed Lyme Disease (not common in the UK). He was pumped full of drugs for everything but Lyme disease which caused psychosis. He was bed bound for a number of years and had little else to do but watch youtube videos on music.He truthfully never thought he'd see his 30th birthday (he's now 34)
He's independent, plays almost every instrument even drums which he says he plays badly, produces everything, performs most videos live, poet bard rapper beatboxer singer producer editor actor storyteller....he is a rarity that encompasses probably everything in music a true all round performer. He has a great team of his best mates particularly Samuel Perry-Falvey who is his main videographer.

It's been a year since I discovered Ren thru this song, and here I am STILL watching other people react to it, KNOWING that they're feeling things no music has ever made them feel before, and they're about to begin a journey with Ren that will likely change them in some significant way. This song is incredible...but so is everything he does. It's all unique. It fits no genre, but combines them ALL. There's a revolution happening with music right now...the likes of which we haven't seen since the birth of rock 'n roll...and Ren is the king leading that revolution. Make no mistake, tho...there IS also a queen...and that is Chinchilla. Somehow these two incredible artists...these talents that come along maybe once every other generation...they found each other, and have made some mind-blowing music together. Chinchilla's talent rival's Ren's, but in such a different way. Even their styles are drastically different (though neither adhere to any genre). Despite their differences...when they come together to make music, the result is unbelievable. "Chalk Outlines" and "How to be Me" are amazing songs, and I can't wait for their future collaborations. Chinchilla on her own is incredible, too. Her voice will blow you away...but it's everything else that makes her so unbelievable. Her lyrics; the music itself, which she produces on a laptop in a shed in her backyard; her videos, which seem like big-budget mainstream videos, but are really just her and her talented friends; her LOOK, which is unique and amazing, especially considering that she designs and makes most of her own outfits herself; and most of all, HER. Who she is. I've seen several interviews with her, and like Ren, she's very genuine, humble, and just a great person. I highly reccomend checking out her duets with Ren, then her solo stuff (especially "Fingers - Live for HungerTV", which flawlessly displays every aspect of what makes her such an incredible talent). Ren and Chinchilla are ushering in a new era in music, and I can't wait to see everything their genius inspires.
