"Is he a rapper? Is he a singer?" ... He's everything. Actor, storyteller, rapper, singer, performer, poet, minstrel/bard. Just everything. Edited because I forgot to add philosopher.
Hahaha YES! Ren is ART
He is BARD of the NEW AGE :)
healer, role model also...
he is Ren
It's truly without label, peer, or definition.
No apologies for being emotional. Emotional is the appropriate response to this.
Ren categorised his Genre as "Bardcore"
All outta England independent music his big over here his 34 years old has several medical conditions mental and physical, every thing you see is him! NO FAKE HERE! Ren is the most real artist out there right now. So get ready for @Ren ain't nothing Ren can't do there is so much more to come, get ready for Ren world. Meet Ren from E🏴ngland
Having been obsessively trawling the internet for a couple of weeks now, looking for reactions to this piece of artwork, I can say that I have found about 30 reactors I'd never heard of. This in addition to the many I already watch who have posted their reactions to this. Out of those dozens, only about 3 were a disappointment, and they were predominantly vocal coaches who couldn't stop focusing on how he sang in order to listen to WHAT he sang.
You got it from the very beginning, and I truly enjoyed watching this reaction video. You are, in fact, one of the first to make it a point to praise his acting skills so highly, though a few others have made off-hand comments about it. No one yet has made much comment about the set itself, which seems to lend itself so perfectly to the feel of this piece. Or about how he didn't "resolve" the final note of the guitar accompaniment, though it gets my attention every time.
I also read 90% of the comments other people leave on the reaction videos, so I've learned a huge amount of background info on Ren's problems and the misdiagnosis that has damaged him so much. One of his sung lines, "I've stood in the fire that cremated my brain" is a powerful reference to the actual physical damage he's taken from the years of wrong medical treatment.
Thank you for your contribution to the understanding of this piece of brilliance.
I belive it because if you can do this it not an act. He is BARES you his inner mental battle, war of self, you can not contact express that the way he dose unless you been lost trying to scale the pit back to your shreded soul to stich yourself back together as human being not the controstct of what is social considered a productive member of society thefucked and selfish priorities are distance from our needs and nature. Imo 😊
The misdiagnosis is the link to political division, I should feel that as my interption.
Not diagnosing people right, costs lives, leaves people bedbound, steals your life.
It's a battle 😡 😢
Hear hear!
your tiny channel is huge!!!
The lights flicker at the end when he is singing/rejoicing showing they merged. Ren can never get rid of the doubt side, but learned to live with it.
Also why he doesnt play the last chord. The song never ends. Its an internal dance
Yep feels like they're singing together rather than any one voice singing alone, which was how the initial singing was interrupted
And he is integrating it all and triumphing , it’s more coordinated and powerful .
great insight.
I did not know it at the time, but I HEARD Rens voice about 30 years ago as the voice that loosened the rope. Strnage he was probably not alive yet, but, that voice is still with me today. Thanks Ren. Forever Inspire.
Glad I read this comment than never known your name the world is a better place with you in it man peace from Ireland 🇮🇪
There is a huge Ren rabbit hole for you to dive into. Old stuff and new stuff. More comments and viewers I am sure will offer suggestions and requests. Today I will leave my ideas blank, just so you can make you our decisions. This is an artist that can not be ignored!
Great take. I suggested The Tales trilogy, but even as I was typing it, I was thinking of Chalk Outlines, Money Games (both), Genesis, the one with the smoke bombs (memory fails me) and many others including his work with The Big Push.
You obviously have a LOT of music knowledge and a deep appreciation for art. Thank you for this heartfelt reaction.
I'm sure others will comment, but Ren lost a friend to suicide and has written at least two songs about him. Both are gorgeous. Freckled Angels and How to Be Me (Ren x Chinchilla Live).
I dont have a ton of music knowledge, but I've played to sax for 15 years and have been obsessed with music that long or longer. I dont consider myself an expert, but I appreciate your kind words! 🙏
“Precious” is also a beautiful song Ren wrote about grief. There are a few versions with his band, The Big Push, on RUclips.
The cinematographer is www.youtube.com/@SamuelPerryFalvey.
I just found Ren a few days ago and Im completely hooked. Great reaction, luv! Keep posting, keep sharing, and keep up the awesome content! 🥰❤
Thank you so much for the kind words! 🙏 and for the info!
Thanks for a thoughtful and compassionate review. I have watched hundreds of 1st reactions to Ren and the amazing thing is that in approx. 50% of these, the reactor(s) start to talk about their experiences or those of relatives/friends. These reactors cross all age groups, (human) races, national boundaries and genders. This is so important and I believe that Ren is a true genius for being the facilitator for this to happen and it will spread.
i dont want to sound esotheric but his song gonna help us transform first ourselfes and with it ,the world , evenso we will be not alive to see the second,...
@doogmann That kinda depends on how old we are now. There's always hope even if the transformation of the world seems like the most unlikely and impossible thing imaginable.
There I go, talking myself out of my own comment again...
Same here (but am on dozens of Hi Ren reaction watches thus far and keeping going). Perfectly articulated, Mikey. I agree 100%!
DITTO!
Perfectly said. I found Ren a few weeks ago and I’m obsessed. He’s amazing hits me hard sometimes as music should do ❤
He was offered a Sony deal but came down sick with Lyme disease -he is going through lots of surgeries and hospitalization
It wasn't an offer so much as he actually got the contract. It was after this that he got ill and the contract was cancelled by mutual consent. Ren never complained about it.
Great reaction, man! Sorry you lost a friend to suicide. Ren has a song (w/Chinchilla) called How to Be Me, which is about losing a friend like that. You might want to check it out. Pick the live version or do a double reaction with both versions. If that topic is too tough for you, I understand. Just thought I’d mention it.
Ren is the voice of hope for so many of us.
I found this song last night and ive spent hours watching all these reations. He has absolutely captivated millions of people with these peace of art.
If you are struggling just know you are not alone and we will survive and prosper !!! We are hope !!!
Me too! I can't get enough and I love seeing and hearing all the different reactions.
It's the Renegade ❤
I LOVED this, you seem genuine and authentic.
New sub 😘💕
Ren is a modern street Bard and he seems to be huge in Bristol, I believe Sam Tomkins filmed it you can meet him in Rens video 'Power' excellent Reaction Panda me lad you earned a sub from me, i like your style.
Thank you for your kind words! 🙏
This is one of those few songs where the power of true art is shown in it's purest form.
I'm sorry to hear about your best friend... Thanks for sharing such a personal experience with us.
Never ever feel the need to apologize for becoming emotional over this man.. we ALL have done it... and his message hits home for pretty much everyone that wayches..
Ren has changed my life and I'm nearly 70. He make me cry every time I listen to him. Ren is a genius, teacher, therapist and life creator. I am in awe of his music.
Brother, I knew I had to subscribe as soon as you called out the diminished tonality of the playing! 100% agreed on the end of genre. BTW, for anyone else who reads this, correctly calling out diminished tonality, chromatic progressions, etc., that means this cat KNOWS music! Just my 2 pennies. I'm really glad I found your channel. Keep it up!
Im no expert or vocal coach, but I've played the sax for 15 years and have been obsessed with music that long or longer. I appreciate your kind words! 🙏
@@parkinglotpanda nice! Sax takes a ton of skill. Music is a beautiful thing that unites keep on doing the good and creative work! 🤘🏼
This is just the beginning. Ren is a spectacular talent.
YESSSSS! I've been waiting for someone to notice that the lights are only flickering when the darker side is speaking. So many reactions, so few picked up on it. If you look at the floor, you'll see there are also two shadows.... one darker than the other. Incredible attention to detail. Did you also notice in his singing at the very end, your ear is looking for a final note that doesn't come? Like it's not over... I think that's on purpose, the eternal dance... the vocal leaves you waiting for that last "ooooh" there. I vote you go down the Ren rabbit hole....
I saw a "cinematographer reacts". He had a lot of interesting insights regarding the camera work and lights etc.
I’ve seen way too many reactions to this, over 50 and some have noticed the lights during the song but he is the only reactor that noticed the lights were still flickering at the end. A lot of reactors think he’s won the battle, but that is not how this all works, he has integrated his “shadow consciousness.” (Carl Jung, psychiatrist, philosopher). It’s just like you said, the song doesn’t finalize, it’s an eternal dance. They have to work together, but the hopeful Ren has to have the strength to not let the shadow overtake him while also not fighting against it and remembering to relax.
I've watched Hi Ren at least 40 times now and never noticed the shadows. Thank you! The shadows tell the story of the last part of the song as well as the music.
@@Beckaj5446I saw this, too, but I hadn’t worked out how to articulate it. Thank you.
It’s even more impressive when you realize it’s live done in a single take (on the fourth take apparently)
Ren has also lost a good friend to suicide.
The song with Chinchilla How to me(?) is about his loss.
Check out his busking in the uk, great voice. Multi instrumentalist, too.
The jenny/screech/Violet trilogy (full version) sung live, is masterful
His song suicide is to his friend as well and he named a song and album freckled angel after him as well
Beautiful reaction! There are so many Ren videos to choose from but I highly recommend Ren's "The Tale of Jenny & Screech (Full)", "Ren X Chinchilla - How To Be Me (live)" and, for something in a completely different lane, Ren's band: "The Big Push - I Shot the Sheriff / Road to Zion / Hip Hop" busking session.
The "melting pot" phenomenon you speak of has been going on for some time, though it does seem to be accelerating. A scary but exciting time to be on this planet! Been here since 1951 and it keeps on getting scarier but more exciting. Best of luck with your channel; you have a good vibe. Be Cool.
"No winners or loosers"? ....He said, but there are victims.
Pay attention 😢
“Hi Ren" is the song that put Ren on everyone's radar since December; it went viral and has garnered more than 5 million views since its debut, but he has been creating great music for more than ten years. Ren’s music videos are generally recorded live, often in a single take, although not necessarily the first take, and from various camera angles. His release, "Sick Boi," is almost another chapter to "Hi Ren." Many of his songs resonate with people because he addresses struggles that many others face every day.
Ren plays multiple instruments (acoustic, electric, and bass guitar, piano, drums), has impressive vocals, is an excellent storyteller, and is quite the philosopher and poet. He is considered by many a modern bard. His trilogy "The Tale of Jenny/Screech/Violet" is haunting and has an unforeseen conclusion. It needs to be watched in the order given, as this is the flow of the storyline. It is another example of Ren’s genius and a master’s class in storytelling. It has been likened to a Shakespearean tragedy.
Ren’s collaborations with Chinchilla (“Chalk Outlines,” “How to Be Me”) are beautiful and showcase his singing voice while addressing mental health. His live music videos are especially impressive. Ren's personal reflections are threaded through many of his songs; "Insomnia," "Depression," “Diazepam," “Penitence,” “Dear God,” “Heretic,” “Dominos,” his "Freckled Angels" album, just to name a few, all deserve a listen. His song "Money Game" (Part I & II) is another recommendation, although it is less of a personal song than it is an indictment of greed and the resulting injustices in this world.
Ren’s Hip Hop/Rap style songs are all worth checking out if you enjoy this genre; they are pretty amazing. Check out “The Hunger,” “Genesis,” “What You Want,” “Losing it (FISHER rap retake),” “Right here, right now (Fatboy Slim one shot retake),” "Life is Funny," “Love Music (Parts 1, 2, and 3),” “Crucify Your Culture,” “Power,” and his latest release, “Bittersweet symphony (The Verve retake).”
As I recently discovered, Ren also recorded a cover of “Can't Help Falling In Love (Elvis Cover),” that is simply beautiful. Then there are his performances with Sam Tompkins (“Blind Eyed,” “Earned it /Mans World / Falling,” “Walking on the moon/No Diggity”), Eden Nash (“Humble,” “Ocean”), Bibi (“Crutch,” “Ahiahiaoha”), Molly McKinna (“Penitence”), his former bandmate, Romain Axisa (“French Song”), which are all great.
Ren's performances as a member of the band "The Big Push" (which unfortunately broke up), their busking (street performances), concerts, and their live recordings, are awesome and well worth checking out. Ren's covers of "I Shot the Sheriff," "Wade in the Water," "An Englishman in New York," “War Pigs,” the songs "Oh My Woman," “Swan Song,” “Sweet Little Lady," "It's Alright," "Watch Out," “Dignity,” and so many others are equally impressive.
Ren recently released his single, “Sick Boi.” In anticipation of his stay in Canada for more treatments, Ren prepared some music ahead of time to be released over the next six months that he expects to be gone. As mentioned above, his latest release, “Bittersweet Symphony (The Verve retake),” is another masterful work.
They shot this in one take and live
I know this song so well, and your reaction was so real and emotional raw. Very well done. You have a new follower in me!
I like your vibe brother. Liked and subscribed in under 2 minutes.
Edit: personally I like reactors who pause when the have something to say. And you definitely do. My opinion is that if people want to watch the song uninterrupted they can go do that.
Edit 2: Samuel Perry-Falvey is the cinematographer of this with Ren as director and editor, I believe. They make a fantastic team.
Parking lot panda: "I'm a small channel"
Me: (instantly likes and subscribes)
Thank you so much for your reaction, thoughts and emotions. I was avoiding this song for very long time (don't know why) and I am happy that I took the journey with you.
My pleasure! And I'm honored!
This is not a song of hope, instead it is a song of acceptance, I think. And maybe that's a more reasonable and achievable goal for those without hope.
Great job on this video man.
Seriously, this is a brilliant piece of work by Ren. You say you don’t like to pause too often yet here you are taking 26+ minutes to go through it!
While I was editing, I caught so much more that I would have liked to point out. It honestly is a work of art!
thank you for your reaction. I find some people react as if its whats expected of them. You came across as a nice human being. Hope you continue to be you. Your wife and friends are lucky to have you around. hugs
If you are not emotional by the end of this you don’t feel. Never apologize for being human much love to you and your wife thank you for sharing ❤
Love the breakdown, you're getting a sub. Though one might say I'm a bit biased.
Thanks for the kind words! 🙏 and us pandas gotta stick together!
Dude, such a great review - I love seeing reactions from people with a technical understanding of music and singing to break down for us plebeians, I love hearing about the nuance in diminished cords and vocal tones vs just vaping and making faces is refreshing. Subscribed!
Would love to see your take on the Tale of Jenny and screech (trilogy)… dark and incredible storytelling with amazing guitar work
Also check out the Big Push, Rens singing range is absolutely nuts, he’s a once in a generation phenom.
Absolutely to everything you said!
Awesome reaction, thank you.
Everything about this masterpiece is outstanding, notice the lighting casting two shadows?
This needs to be part of every high school curriculum.
Dude...love the video but you are the offspring of @SaltyReacts I am 100% convinced. You all need to have a father son reunion.
I work in the health field, doctors and what we think that people that spent money for a piece of paper, knows more then the one that is dealing with issues. It's all money. Not wellness.
keep it going man. you poped the 1k easy already! ^^
love your reaction and thanks for recommending mike love!
Subscriber straight away mate love your attitude and views my girl is still suffering anxiety and depression to see her go through it everyday kills me and this song gave me a stronger understanding of her battle keep supporting your wife were there rocks even though we also break love to you brother
I think ending with his oooo's and feeling triumphant that there is the other side fighting against it. Just a thought.
I have seen COUNTLESS reactions to this song and many others from Ren; your's was FANTASTIC. You were so thoughtful and respectful. Thank you. And thank you also for sharing a part of yourself and the struggles of your loved ones. I wish you and them both, PEACE. 😎
Mike Love - best damn Reggae singer and guitarist (and looper)! You have a good ear, man. Edit - you even noticed that lush and voluptuous reverb at the end.
Thank you so much for the kind words! 🙏 and yes, Mike Love is the goat when it comes to Reggae!
I liked Panda noticing that at this last singing part the lights are flickering also though his calmer self is singing. If you tie this to that long reverb tail you mentioned: As the tail fades, the lights stay stable again. The tail is like a last breath of his "inner Gollum" that tried to maintain his grip on him by the flickering lights, because his voice had no power anymore to reach him. I guess that's why they put it so clearly audible up front. So many amazing nuggets in this.
I found Ren in March of 2023. I have watched reactions since. This is the first time your reaction to Hi popped up. I thought you were new, then I noticed this is a year old. What is wrong with RUclipss algorithm?
I guess I will be digging into your Ren playlist. Great Reaction!!! Of course I subbed. ❤❤❤❤😊
Hey Brother, just wanted to say this has been my favourite react video to Ren that i've seen on RUclips (And i've watched a LOT of them xD). You have an amazing blend of "genuine and music knowledge" No OTT crap, just good and honest. And seem like someone (If I wasn't sober) I'd love to share a beer with. Got my Sub, look forward to watching more of your stuff.
Great job and genuine. I sub’d to your channel. Try chalk outlines sometime with Ren x chinchilla (Live) if possible.
You’re right-this is the future.
I know your pain. I lost my 30 year old son November 7, 2022. He hung himself on November 1st. He was revived and lasted until the 7th. It is the hardest thing I have ever been thru. He was talking to me during a video chat. When I saw the cord around his neck, I screamed and begged him not to do it. I couldn’t stop him. He hung up on me and it was over. I beat myself up every single day… I’m so sorry you feel the pain you do. Great reaction. Bless you. ❤
Great reaction…good ears on you too recognizing the diminished chords…REN is crazy good….check out Jennys Tale trilogy! You’ll love it.
Btw..you have a perfect radio voice!
Also.. never apologize for being emotional 💜
Thank you very much for your kind words! 🙏
@@parkinglotpanda don't apologize for being emotional big heart ♥ big feelings namaste 🙏
Subscribed my man! You’re a real one. Keep doing your thing.
That said, the biggest reactors tend to diversify their genres, and you’re missing the single biggest draw by avoiding hip hop specifically. I would love to see your channel “pop off” like Hi Ren. I’ll watch your stuff all day. Quality reaction. But follow the terms specifically hip hop songs. My 2 cents.
Also, hi Ren! Hope you’re feeling ok today,
I definitely want to do Hip-hop. Im just waiting on some recommendations. Thanks for the kind words! 🙏
Loved your reaction, Thankyou very much. We all subscribed. Please do Jenny and screeches tale, full version. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
Enjoyed your reaction and your thoughts about REN’s music. He has been a voice of hope and inspiration for many people who are struggling with health or mental issues. He delves into topics that many people don’t address and paints such a visual picture through his lyrics which has made his music far reaching to people of all ages. I’m happy that as an independent artist he is able to create his music his own way without being forced into one lane so that he can create using multiple genres. He also wants reactors to monetize his music because he believes a rising tide lifts all ships.
Choosing "Doubt" as the opposite with Ren going for "Hope" 20s later probably the best lone word any reaction have chosen so far to describe that voice/part of us.
Go down the rabbit hole!!! The Tales Trilogy, Chalk Outlines, and How to be me are just few of many greats!
You have no reason to apologize at all friend..you like me and so many others will never forget the first time we heard this. You get blown away
I might be 30 or so views into watching 'HI REN' over these past couple of months...and I STILL laugh with tears at certain points because I understand...and to see soooo many reactioners (is that a word)...react the same way I do.. it all really hits home for me.. im gonna be 42 this year, and never really dealt with my demons... but stuff like this really gives me hope... but yet sometimes I still feel so alone.. like I have to figure it all out myself..
"Some people know me as the voice that you hear when you loosen the noose on the rope" hit me hard. That is the step beyond hope, when your hope has been destroyed and yet, at the last second you find something inside to keep going in spite of the utter hopelessness. That is a voice I have heard more than once.
I cry every time I hear that.
Self doubt, the demon on your shoulder, overbearing pessimism. That's the evil guy
The greatest part of this song is that it's not only amazing but also the reaction videos from people exploring and portraying understanding of this song and video. The ability the video has to open a dialogue for everybody is truly incredible.
A year later and Ren brought me here.
That's one of the many perks of this man. He inadvertently introduces us to reactors.
Thanks for your heartfelt reaction. I loved it and I love Ren with all my heart. He is indeed a genius and what he does is real art. I found his music and I respect it. A lot.
I've watched endless amounts of reactions to this song and you were the only one to call the jimmy hendrix, was cool to watch and overall this is one of the more enjoyable reviews I've seen.
thanks for being real. *subscribed*
Finally!! I’ve watched the original and all the reactions. You’re the first to acknowledge how beautiful that reverb is at the end. For fucks sakes it took two months of watching videos for someone to acknowledge that. Ugh. Rock on brother! 🤘🤦♀️🤘
Great reaction mate. One of the best and I have watched a lot 👍
seen a lot of reactions to hi ren this week and this was one of the more insightful ones. I dont get how you only have 880 subs. you got one more now :)
honestly one of the best reviews of content ive seen so far. very insightful breakdowns of each aspect. got a new subscriber in me and many others if they know what an actual reactor is.
He was mise diagnosed a couple of time and it is the reason he was not sure about them (Doctors) but he hase more then one thing that makes hes life harder.
gettin emotional on this is nothing u hav to apologize. It only lights up ur an feelin human being
My favorite line in this song is, "I stood in the flames that cremated my brains and I didn't once flinch or shake, so cower at the man I've become...". Such a strong and powerful way to relate strength. I also feel the most overlooked part of this is, "there are no real winners or losers in psychological warfare, but there are victims and there are students". Namely the students part. One can be a victim and let it control them or one can be a student and study it, learn from it, and control it. This and O Virgin Pure by Nektarios of Aegina are the 2 most beautiful songs I've ever heard.
No winners or losers, only victims and students refers to those who succumb to their illness and those who learn from it. Who learn how to keep going
One of the bigger times i can relate these feelings off the top of my head is hurt by johnny cash
First off, don't EVER apologize for being emotional. I have been watching dozens of reactions to this song and you are not alone...not by a longshot. I don't know anyone who can't relate to the content here. You may say you're a small channel but, honestly, by my viewing the reactions to this song, I am finding NEW channels to which I'm subscribing (including yours...and probably 20 more) so, while you are getting HIS content/genius out to others, it is reciprocal.
GREAT reaction and you will grow your channel! Peace.
Please pray for this artist if you go to Rens community tab on his RUclips page around 4hrs ago posted that he has to go through surgery and is going through a lot of sickness dealing with his autoimmune disease he is trying to stay positive but is depressed so please everyone pray for this artist
Don't ever be sorry for being emotional take it from someone who buried alot of stuff and locked it away for years always feel them and deal with them
Alot of people nowadays don't talk about emotions and sometimes they take their own lives but if you are struggling with things trust me you are not alone and you can get through it I know because I've been on that cliff edge believing their was no way out but there's always hope storms don't last forever sometimes the hardest battles we face in life are battle in our minds but it's a battle you can win.
If you need to talk to someone there's support groups out there in the UK there's Andys mans club and the women's wellness club go check them out and remember your not alone
Thank you for showing support to this multi faceted Bard......
Got my sub brother! Your chills confirmed the sub!
I've been watching every HI REN reaction video that I can find, looking for someone that got the same message I did from the ending vocal part of the song. You're the first person of all of the reactions I've seen that pointed out the lights flashing during that apparently triumphant dance/vocal segment at the end. The song stops, and then he explains it for us. But it seems most people miss the message of those flashing lights and him repeating the same vocal performance. Even when he tells us what it means.
The pendulum is swinging.
We see him defeat the voice with the power of hope BUT the flashing lights indicate that it is only for a brief time. His happiness in that moment is just a part of the eternal dance. If the song had continued, the next verse would have started "Hi there Ren! It's been a little while, did you miss me?"
That's is what he is trying to tell us. Not that he defeated the voice, but that he will never "defeat" the voice. He can, however, learn to co-exist with it - to relax - to soften. Let the voice rage. Let it abuse him. He is stronger than that voice and can be "broken and beat" but he will always rise and stand on his own two feet. Until he is no more, and then his music will rise for him.
Hearing you talk about your own wife's struggle explains to me why you picked up on that message, IMHO. You've seen the pendulum swinging, and even in the good times, you suspect - or even know - that the bad is not gone. It is dormant - maybe for hours or weeks, maybe for years - but it is always there "in the periphery".
If you play this song on repeat, then you will get the message. The song is eternal, because the dance is eternal.
Or maybe I'm just being pretentious?
Not pretentious. Very perceptive. ❤
YES exactly, this unresolved song spirals into itself
The death of genres. I like that. Metal has been that way for a while. I feel it's letting the artists out of their box to soar on creativity. I'm so happy people are experimenting, and coming up with real expression. Especially when music has been so stagnant.
I appreciate yourindepth awareness and analysis, thank you.
from every reaction i watch this i cry every time on this master peace tnx for reaction u got mate much love from Latvia much love To Ren
alos in the beginning of the video.. when the pig guy rolls him in.. the two lamps cast two different shadows on the floor.. one lighter one darker.. and they are even facing eachother...
You're only the 2nd person that's mentioned that gorgeous room reverb when he stops singing. Congrats!!
Awesome reaction bro. I definitely subbed. I have also been where you've been bro. I've lost many family and friends to suicide and continues to happen. I myself have been there but thankfully I'm still here, struggling at time's, but I'm still above ground so it's a win for me everyday I wake up. Ren is everything lol. But definitely check out his band, "The Big Push" BUT their live street videos of Black Sabbath's "War Pigs" blew my mind because as a metal headed myself I thought there's no way knowing Ren's style they could pull it off. I was wrong haha they killed it.
And also watch their live street cover of Bob Marleys "I Shot The Sheriff" and man they destroyed that one also haha.
Ren does rap too. Like rap rap. His song "The Hunger" and "Genesis" are sick!
He was signed to SONY but they dropped him when he got sicker. 4 over a decade he was misdiagnosed bipolar when she really had Lyme disease. Currently he's in Canada getting treatment for the Lyme disease that's pretty much destroyed his body and today he found out that his brain is worse than they thought originally. She was supposed to only be in Canada for treatment for Lyme disease for 3 months but now it's going to be 6 months is going to be there. And he's upset because of that and he's blowing up and he can't do nothing about it. If you follow him on RUclips he updates every day what he's going through.
And keep pushing and doing your thing bro. I can tell you're real. You're not the typical cookie-cutter reactor. You're not jumping up and down and running around screaming "Oh my God did you hear that?" You're you vs you understand the human experience. You're not performing for the camera like soooo many other reactors do. And others who come upon your reactions will be able to tell you're real and they'll follow also. In time the 700 followers you have be 7,000 then 70,000 and so on.
Thank you so much for the kind words and insight! 🙏 and I'm glad you're still here! I try and live by the #notallowedtoquit mindset, but I know that's easier said than done. Stay strong! 💪
I would suggest one rethink of your final thoughts if I may be so bold, but I mean no rudeness whatsoever... I don't think he's acting even one iota, but rather, he's letting us in completely and without condition. That inner dialog is represented so perfectly, IMHO, that I can't imagine it being anything other than 100% genuine. Just my two cents. Definitely enjoyed your reaction. Cheers!
Liked and Sub my man.mEmbrace your emotions. Glad you were able to share this experience with your people. All the best
I happened to come across your reaction to “The System” from Tom MacDonald, went to your channel to find your reaction to “Watch The World Burn” from Falling In Reverse, then moved on to this reaction. I subscribed. I completely agree that artists that are bending genres are the groundbreakers. I’m 50 years old, I never liked rap until I discovered Tom MacDonald. I absolutely love these artists who are breaking the mold and creating music that’s meaningful. Ren is an amazing gift to our world as well. ❤️
Loved your reaction...greetings from South Africa.
I’m not gonna say that Ren has gotten me through a very difficult time in my life, but he is currently assisting me, since I’m still going through it. The clarity that this song has provided me has really been mind-altering. Modern Shakespeare, but better.
Liked and subbed! You have a great ear! Trust me, try:
The Tale of Jenny and Screech (full), Chalk Outlines (live) w/Chinchilla, Sick Boi, Money Game 1&2, Power, Genesis, The Hunger, What You Want, Diazepam, Love Song 1,2,3... and keep going. I'll be back for more!
🤘😆
Edit to add: I've watched every single reaction to this song on RUclips. I also happily watched a 48 minute long reaction to his 2 and a half minute long song Sick Boi. Just so you understand his fans.
Thank you for the kind words and insight! 🙏
I loved this reaction. and I loved how you predicted Jimmy Hendrix and Eminem like you had a crystal ball. I'm subscribing to you, you are great at reacting 😊👍
That was something I will never forget...thank you 🔥🙏🔥
Yes thank you that is what I believe he is going to be a voice of hope for a generation. And the lights stayed on!
Enjoyed hearing your reaction

in the most raw way it is a communication of battling any struggle whether it be illness, life, loss, everything, but hope prevails!
