Shakka is criminally underated man, the fact that his album didnt even break uk top 100 shows theirs a complete disconnect from mainstream and an amazing talent who is shakka. However i do feel like he was miss managed and didn’t capitalise on the massive buzz he had around the single man down when it came out, album should have dropped around that time. Label sleeped on him and i believe as a consequence his buzz died down abit, i was hoping this interview would have touched on that. A topic to be had is how do artists recover after their biggest ever single and remain relevant. Having known shakka and gone primary and secondary school with him i know his main focus has and will always be his core fan base and he loves that, but sometimes it upsets me knowing he could have been so much bigger as a solo artist, because as a creator and writer his catalogue speaks volumes. ✊.
This is why Chuckie is in this space why he is a true director of conversation. He appreciates art, he understands the industry he loves music like it's a soul purpose for him and some people don't understand that you don't have to be a singer or an artist's to be a part of the conversations. Chuckie isn't just a dj he is music literate. He understands the art form and what it takes to create and get a body of work appreciated. Love love love him

I love how Shakka chooses his words, like he literally thinks before he speaks.
I love how he's a huge fan of black music including his own music. You don't hear many artists say that - well, at least I don't.

It's dope to see Shakka give Chuckie his flowers. Following him from Canada, he's the reason I became aware of artists like Shakka, Knucks and A2.

As for shakka he is a true artist someone who does what he does because it's his purpose to take us on a journey with his art. You know when a true artists isnt doing it for the money but for the mark they leave on the world. Love love the stories he tells in every body of work he makes. It's not just a bop it's an immersive experience from an artist's and story teller. If music didn't work for him I think he would have been an amazing writer. Glad he's making it. The album was well worth the wait. 🙏🏾🤎
