There's one glitch to get infinite lives when playing with another person. You'll need a propeller powerup, a Yoshi and a Koopa Troopa. First, you make Yoshi swallow the Koopa and you then dismount off of Yoshi. You and the other player then synchronize ground pound to kill the Koopa whilst it's inside Yoshi's mouth. You then spit out the Koopa and jump on it so it comes to a stop, then you pick up the shell and spin upwards and press down. The synchronized ground pound glitches the shell into being invincible, so by pressing down whilst using the propeller it constantly hits the shell and gives a one up. Other than the blaring sound you get, you reach 99 lives in mere seconds.

Also when me and my cousin were playing Mari Bros Wii, I had glitched through the wall in World 8 on the level when the lava comes up. Idk how it happend but I just used the propeller up to get to the wall about half way through the level near the p switch, I couldn't even get out of it at all, but yea it's pretty broken...

The 1-up trick is not a bug. In the level editor for the original game, you can change Koopa shells to allow the 1-up or to not allow it. I'm pretty sure the one you showed in the video, is one of the only shells which allows it.

Although I never played New Super Mario Bros. before, it is amazing of how Nintendo Unity is teaching us how to play one of our favourite childhood Nintendo video games on Wii :)

Why does the first glich with the ground pow happen?
I think its because you're in the middle of doing a groundpound while also touching the flagpole, the game wasn't made to handle this, hence softlocking the game to prevent any further issues
@@Alexhimself1337 You forgot to mention that the reason it isnt handled correctly is since the blocks Mario lands on are ground-poundable. Any other time you ground pound the flagpole is fine, but doing it in that one level means storing the groundpound for the blocks and causing it to softlock.

That "swimming under World 4-1" thing reminded me of playing Yoshi's Island on my NES Switch Online game (or SNES, I don't remember which game it was in.)
and then I fell off a stage (I think it was 2-3) and then I was flutter jumping under the stage. I was able to survive under 2-3, lol :(

I had NSMBW for years and I'm just learning about these glitches? I had no idea this game was that broken. Am I the only one just finding this out?

3. teleporting koopas on ice block
4. times up softlock at the flag pole

There's another glitch. If you are Helicopter (whatever character you are) and are holding a Koopa Shell, when you "helicopter-fly" up, when you "shoot yourself down", you can get infinite 1-Ups.
This game gives me so much nostalgia
My childhood just got a whole lot better
