Meanwhile, millions of military aged men have crossed into the USA no questions asked and transported to the city of their choice. But if you choose to do it LEGALLY it's a major pain. It's a sick joke.

Getting the visa is only part 1 of the process. Part 2 is convincing the Immigration/Customs officer at the POE of your intentions. If he doesn't believe you or finds something that does not go along with your story, then you do not enter and are sent home.

    Hello Ma’am Jocelyn,
I was born in the United States of America, which means I am a U.S. citizen. My mother, who is Filipino, brought me to the Philippines when I was 3 years old. Since then, I have not returned to the U.S. and have overstayed in the Philippines for several years.
This month, my mother is planning a vacation for me to visit her in DUBAI, and I already have my ticket. Is it possible that I will be offloaded at the airport because I overstayed?
    Best advice?

Depend on your current passport that you possess and plan to travel with. You might visit BI to determine your actual status which may be Philippine citizen if your mother properly reported your birth abroad. You could be considered a dual citizen which would ease your travel worries. Be sure to maintain and safeguard any US documents to ensure you are still recognized as a U.S. citizen.

Hello. You can apply for a tourist visa.

If your husband did not establish residency in the Philippines, it is more than likely US immigration will perceive your application as an attempt to bypass the immigrant (I-130) visa process and be denied.
