- Why Sigma INFJs Can Be Very Cold And Distant. Sigma INFJs can be one of the calmest, most independent, and most emotionally detached personalities you can ever meet. However, these healthy traits also signify that they might not be the type of people you'd always want to hang out with.
Sigma INFJs appear cold and distant because they can maintain emotional detachment even during the most dramatic arguments. This is why people tremble when sigma INFJs make their point-not only because they make sense but also because they are very calm. They are confident, in addition to being very convincing. Sigma INFJs understand that they need not be hostile to prove themselves. They are not required to raise their voices to express themselves. Similarly, they understand that shouting in debates is unnecessary because the pitch does not equal correctness. All they require is the right reasoning. Simply put, people are intimidated by the sigma's ability to persuade while remaining silent. While some people use fear to convince others to obey their commands, sigma INFJs believe that to be powerful, they do not need to make their authority known. To be independent is to know and accept you really arent independent at all whatsoever. There is always someone you are dependent on. The company providing you with electricity, your phone, your ISP, your mortgage, paying rent or interest every month and so on. To be really independent is to truly know who or what you are dependent upon and show them gratitude and respect... or go back living in the woods as a hunter-gatherer.
While healthy interdependence is necessary as are values of mutuality and reciprocity, landlords and banks are parasites that don't actually provide a real service. Utilities can and should be nationalized and paid for with taxes (point of fact that Texas' energy grid has had multiple catastrophic failures because of privatization).
So while I agree with your sentiment of knowing that we are ultimately interdependent, it is on one other and not on CEOs and banks or some beneficent ruling class.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm only "cold" before I've formed an opinion or if I distrust/disdain someone/something. ~ Usually because it's morally repugnant. And I won't deny I'm as pragmatic as it gets. But to my *trusted* friends, I'm a loyal dork, goofball, and nerd. 🥸
