They use the black mat on the path where the Sentinels walk hundreds of times a day because it would have so much wear. The Sentinel steel heels would make even deeper indentions.
Also, marble is slippery when wet. If you ever watch the Queen's Guards at Buckingham Palace, there are a number of videos of them slipping and falling.
6:51 you wouldn’t even know something was wrong unless you were former military or told damn these guys are good
The soldiers chosen for duty to guard The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier take their job very seriously, as they should! It is considered a great honor for a soldier to be chosen for that duty. People need to respect the soldiers guarding that tomb, as well as what the tomb represents.
💯 agree, many people these days, don't know how to act in public.
for a second i legit thought that one guard was yelling at the plane passing overhead
0:56 When you try and skip a side mission but accidentally activates it
Who are these people that don't understand common decency and respect? The entitlement is mind bending.
At the Australian war memorial in Canberra, there’s an unknown Soldier tomb. It’s a great place to visit
Is the war memorial in Canberra guarded in the manner 24/7?
@@user-wl6bw3jl4n lemme guess if he says no, you would be like oh our country has it 24/7, but if he said yes you wouldn’t reply
@@user-wl6bw3jl4n If he said no, You would say like, oh our country has it that way
@@user-wl6bw3jl4n then shouldn’t you know?
I like how the first gaurd kindly asked the kids and they respected and he explained I need to turn
I cannot believe how rude, and disrespectful people can be especially in such a honorable place.
You have to admit that the soldiers drills are flawless. Very impressive to watch.
Also the people who came up with all these routines. There should be a documentary about it.
Man I would love to see this live. Much respect.
This Tomb: **Literally made to honor soldiers who died for America**
Some people: *“I’m about to ruin this whole atmosphere lmao...”*
When the Old Guard use the command hand... flawless!!
Could you imagine a guy with the voice of Peter griffin yells back at the soldier like “ahh screw you ya bastard”
This is America and we are a free nation. So while that is rude it is probably legal
@@0IIIIII oh it’s legal, but it’s completely shameful
@@0IIIIII "This is America and we are a free nation."
Absolutely. America is a free nation. However, you have no freedoms on a Military Installation. Arlington, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier are attached to Fort Myer. Security is provided by Military Police.
Depending upon the infraction, on a military base, you could be jailed in a Brig, and appear before a military court.
With the water bottle they're taught to keep walking even if there is a chair in your way you will learn to walk through it before you stop your March
That imagery of the chair had me imagine the swing set in GTA IV that would launch anything or anyone if it comes in contact. Where the Sentinel walks up to the chair and the chair is suddenly flung elsewhere.
There aren’t many times you can ask me to remain absolutely silent and maintain respect but this is definitely one of those times.. 👏
That’s my video at 3:11. Thanks for featuring it!
Edit: just realized you put it in twice 4:45 haha
"NPC" in the real life.
It is their job to stand here all day, diligently watching of the tombs of men so horribly defaced their identities are unknown, and they are disrespected by people who cant shut up for one second.
You know, if the Sentinels and Grenadlier Guards actaully formed an allience, crime and terrorism wouldnt EVEN be a thing.
Loved the look on the Leaders Face. When the guard was dropping his weapon! LOL
Bet some time later there was a lot of correction going on!!
The leader dropped the rifle during his inspection. The bayonet went through the guard's foot. That's why the look
Walking anywhere beyond the fence is equal to walking on a grave, respect what that tomb means people
It’s embarrassing that people don’t know how to conduct themselves here.
When the guard turned and said to be silent I even stayed quiet lol, I would shit bricks if I ever got yelled at by one of these chads
LOVE the "trespasser" @ 4:21 has that sheepish facial expression & walk like he was embarrassed he got yelled at, ( as he should be). with that said, I can imagine how embarrassed anyone must be (as they should be) when they are guilty of talking or trespassing and get yelled at by the Guard, because they know as soon as the Guard yells at them. all the other visitors are going to be turn toward them and people will be be giving them the evil eyes and staring & glaring at them when they get chewed out.
It’s hard not to see the negative in some of these videos but I just think of the positive and how many people, by the millions, visit that place all the time and never said a word and we’re completely quiet and sat in reverence.
The rifle failed inspection
Some peoples children!....yeeeesh...it ain't DisneyLand and it ain't theater.
That's because their"friends"to their kids not parents... there's few things a good beating don't remedy...
That guy took the blade in the foot like an absolute legend
A Cemetery of those who died in horrible places and ways is not an Amusement park.
Wind: BLOWS*
GUARD: IT IS REQUESTED FOR EVERYONE TO BE SILENCE AT ALL TIME
Going there and disturbing the peace should be a felony 😂
The OG of "Fuck around and find out" squad
Yeah I wouldn't want to mess with one of them. Its cool how you can see their paths from over the years of walking in the same places
0:00 so jealous of those kids. What I wouldn’t give to have that privilege
Would
The truth is, and I sincerely mean this, that this job, is probably the most important and honorable thing anybody can do.
This is how are teachers are when we are requested to stay silent during rememberance day. It isnt hard but like fr sum kids.
The gaurd started running after the guy who ran across 😂
