@@basedsouljah i don’t believe the cause of death is public but no, he wasn’t drumming with them on tour. he was at this show however and can be seen ringing in the new year with the guys on stage!
it's fucking mind blowing that he can still sing like that, like when I sing like that I blow out my voice after 2hrs tops, idfk how he's done it for years and still sounds good. Fuck this band has such a special place in my heart.
Awesome video, awesome sound. Probably the highest quality Algernon live recording we'll ever get? Horror sounds so good. Really glad I got to catch them on this tour.
I caught the LA show this tour, it was easily the best concert I've been to in the last 15 years and a top 1-3 of all time for me. Definitely see them if you can.
voy a pegar este comentario en todos los videos de la reunión de algernon para ver si consigo mi anhelada respuesta: soy acaso el único argentino que necesita urgentemente que estos tipos vengan a nuestro país? me muero de ganas de romperme las costillas pogueando esto
Oh man!! I’ve seen them twice and was at the show the previous night! Stood on the balcony right above Joe, sounds killer - honestly one of the best recordings of these guys! Thanks!
OK, I have no idea how I wound up here. But while I'm here, I should learn something. I'm about 3 times your age so someone help me out and tell me what genre of music this is, when it was first popular, who was the main group that performed it, and what is the most "famous" song. Or, maybe you guys are the first group of a new developing kind of music. [No, I'm not a producer, RUclips influencer, or anything important. Just an old boomer lady.]
It’s a genre called midwest emo! it started in the late 90s and a lot of people credit bands cap’n jazz, the promise ring, and american football as some of the earliest makers of this music. It’s come and gone in waves since then with different bands changing the sound but it’s pretty hard to pin the genre on just a couple bands. thanks for watching martha!
