If I put the 8 pin connector on a 1660 super will it work? Or do I have to put one 8 pin connector on the motherboard and one on the GPU?

what really borthers me atm is that ui just bought a new psu. a 2020 bequiet straight power 11 platinum 750 watt. its no a entry level one, nor a smal one. iam currently running a 10700k on a lga 1200 board with 1x 8pin cpu power. the psu, just has 1 8pin connector for the psu. iam planning on getting a 13600k, yet almost all the good boards. use 8+4 pins connectors. yet the 13600k isnt a cpu, that needs that much more power. i really dont wanna be forced to buy a new psu, thats not even a year old. just because mainboards nowadays need more connectors so that youre set for a 13900k overclocking. if my 10700k can run off 1x 8pin just fine, then a 13600k can
