I was worried that Alan's interest in NEMOPHILA would wane with SAKI's departure, but I am glad that he handled NEMOPHILA as soon as possible on the first day of the live tour.
Japanese fans believe that "NEMOPHILA Chapter 2" will grow even more with the four-member team.

Have Alan and Andrew not seen the Instagram video of Nemophila post Saki with Mayu on Guitar?. Was one of the first videos to drop shortly after Saki's departure from the band and where Mayu, Tamu, Hazuki and Haraguchi-san can clearly be seen having a high old time. Onwards and upwards for Nemophila!🤘
missing saki it's got to be lacking in some aspect - it can't be just the same .

Thanks for the great update guys. Andrew is correct on the pronunciation. Hazuki introduces herself in some videos I've see, as haz-key. Always felt Hazuki was perceived as living in SAKI's shadow, but when I listened carefully to her solo in Odyssey it reinforced my belief that she was a World class guitarist. Hazuki is a master musician and composer. She is also humble and very friendly. I'm enjoying seeing Haraguchi-san spotlighted more now than when it was five members. The girls have been busting their asses in regrouping and rearranging their material, and in record time. This tour was announced before Saki made the decision to leave, and yet here they are thrilling their fans, and making new ones along the way. If thet's not dedication to their art, and their fans, then I don't know WTF is. Thanks again Alan and Andrew. Great video!

😎 Mayu introduced Hazuki as “Haz-Ki”; and Saki as “Chucky” at their NYC show. Was great to see them, I think 21 Mar 2023 was their last overseas show?

@exit1368 I believe you are correct, really enjoyed the show in NY too. Had a great time with Champ and his son. We saw Andrew but I didn't get a chance to introduce myself until Andrew and I met each other in Dallas to see Rolling Quartz.

10:18 I wonder if Saki shows up... yeah, it's a very long, impossible shot... but there is an old friendship between Saki and Akira "Killer" Takasaki.. .we all know about the previous Nemophila - Loudness collab (and cover... Saki literally borowed one of Akira's guitars for the cover, even giving it the name of "Borrowed child")
I can tell you how *not* to pronounce Hazuki. It's definitely not Ha-ZOO-ki. Similarly, Suzuka is not Su-ZOO-ka and Momoko is not Mo-MO-ko. Americans have a tendency to stress that middle syllable, but the Japanese do not. The 'u' is often elided, such as in Babymetal's "Akatsuki," usually pronounced "Akatski" and in the verb "desu." I think it is elided in Hazuki's name, so "Haz-ki." It is not elided in Suzuka. So with names like Suzuka, Momoko, Kanami, Akane, Miyako, etc., you pronounce each syllable evenly. Miyako is not Mi-YAHKO or Mi-YAH-ko.
hah-zu-ki 葉月 葉-ha 月-zuki Yeah, Not ZOO, but more like, Zuh. The U isn't silent, but unvoiced (don't vibrate your vocal cords) It only sounds silent to English ears since we don't unvoice U's.

I find the new sound better because of being more raw and consequently feels more authentic (I just couldn't find a better word but I think it is clear what I am thinking of). Also, it was time that Hazuki pus herself into the limelight and assume a leader role in one of her many projects. Technically she's capable and when it comes to rhythm guitar she appears to be better and more creative than Saki. Even some of her solos are more interesting than Saki's even if technically maybe behind a bit. Both Hazuki and Haraguchi appears to utilise the more space - which is given by the less instruments - really creative.
What happened to Saki?
Basically, she decided to leave the band.

Saki cited "directional differences" as her reason for departing. She is about to release her debut EP, Germinans, later this month. Also, Saki is stated to join Like an Angel for their Fall tour.
@@TsuyoShirts wow really, well in spite of all that considering the huge success of Nemo I would tend to suspect that there may have been some friction there.
