Welcome to Band-Maid! The best hard rock band I have heard in my 58 years on this planet. They don't stick to any one genre and often mix genres in songs. They are extremely diverse and have an extensive back catalogue featuring Punk, Pop-Punk, Hard-Rock, Classic Rock, Metal, Prog, Blues, Jazz, Groove, Rap etc. From face melting 220 bpm punk-prog to ballads, instrumentals to acoustics they do it all. They can make you headbang, they can make you pogo, they can make you cry like a baby. They are also five of the nicest people in music, without a shred of ego. They are funny and fun and world class musicians to boot. They are currently into their 11th year with the original line up.
Their stamina is really incredible. This was like a 33 song set.

Great reaction. You know what you are talking about.❤ These ladies are masters at their instruments: Kanami (composer and lead guitar), Akane (drums) and Misa (bass). Then there is lead vocalist Saiki who is perfect for the Band Maid sound and Miku Kobato (rythm guitar, pure energy, most lyrics, fantastic backing vocals and harmonies). Miku wasn't able to play the guitar in 2013 when she founded the band: You may later want to watch the wondeful documentaries by Ohrenje!
I don't know of any other band where the fans' playlists differ so much. So, this is just a quite random selection of songs: For some very special live videos try Freedom, Play, Real existence and Endless Story. With Moratorium (Live at Zepp), Rinne (MV) and Dice you can hear more hard rock while more catchy songs are Choose me (MV), Bestie (MV) and Alone (MV). And if want to hear some ballads then maybe About Us (MV) and Daydreaming (MV) are good picks. But don't miss their instruments From now on (MV) or Onset (Live). And finally a very special live performance is Manners/Blackhole (Official Online Live)🍌 And there is more: For example the songs with Miku in lead, their christmas acoustic concert and the 'cover band' band Maiko ;-)
But if you want to start at the beginning of their career (2013-2017) then go with Thrill (MV, their first video), Real Existence (second video), Alone (MV, first own composition), Freedom(best LIVE performance), Choose Me, Play (LIVE!), ...
Some other band recommendations? Then try "The Sixsters" from Ukraine (Pick any song) and "Gacharic Spin" from Japan (song: "Mindset").

I rate this at one miiiillion dollars (with both pinky fingers in each nose hole like Misa (Bass)), Po! Btw, this song was #27 of 33 (3.5 hours long) and before this song, Akane (Drums) had a freestyle solo into their song #25 "Blackhole'" 220 bpm. I think she was resting a bit on this song and #26 "Dice", Po! Down the Pigeon hole we go, Po! 🦍🍌

Torres, thanks for your reaction to BAND-MAID’s Hate?. Also, thank you for noticing the excellent drumming by Akane (A-chan) during the ‘battle’ between MISA and Kanami. Very few reactors notice much less mention the drumming. And yes, A-chan’s stamina is aMaidzing!!!

Glad you like MISA, the "Barefoot Assassin" on the bass dueling it out with their genius master composer, lead guitarist Kanami (Kah-nah-ME), "Mincho". As for a next reaction, try "From Now On" OMV or "Daydreaming" OMV. This would give two different views of the band. Or you could do "Manners" & "Blackhole" OLV as a two-for, which again gives you two different feels for the band. You can't miss with this band, so truthfully, you could choose any Official video and be amazed.

Carlos Santana is a big inspiration for Kanami, the lead guitarist.
