Got delivery of my 2024 LC 500 convertible, ultimate edition 4 weeks ago. My first Lexus and it took me two years to jump through the loop and choose a Lexus over European premium brands. After several 911 convertibles, a Ferrari California Handling Speciale, an AMG S63 convertible, I must say the LC 500 is the most compelling package for my requirements. A brilliant GT with plenty of fun and emotions and all build to last. The materials used in the interior, the finishing are just on another level and the V8 and exhaust sounds are pure music, no fake AMG pops and crackles, all real.

As a six year owner of a 2018 LC500, the last thing on my list of priorities is SPEED. Honestly, it's plenty fast for the public roads. It was never intended to be a race car but simply a high performance GT machine. That's exactly what it is. I realize most people picture themselves as world-class Formula One drivers but they couldn't be any more wrong. When you take an ordinary untrained driver and stick him or her behind the wheel of a 700 hp automobile, chances are they will violate the number one rule of driving which is DON'T GET DEAD. The LC 500 is an exquisite machine that is super reliable, comfortable and fun to drive. It's as luxurious as anyone would ever want. The fit and finish is literally perfect. If you want a car that will set the lap record at Nurburgring, don't buy the LC. If you want a car that you will enjoy driving every single day for six years, now going on seven, this is the car for you. Be realistic. You're sharing the public roads with people who simply want to get from Point A. to Point B. safely. 99% of your driving is like this. Go drive an LC 500 and you will understand how the designers and engineers at Lexus got it so right!!
The LC500 is probably one of my favorite autos. THE luxurious Japanese Muscle Car! Ps: I have just noticed that Misha used the "Sport" mode, and not the "Sport Plus" mode... Very good lap though!
@@charedj I have been considering getting the LC500 coupe as well. Which factory installed performance options does your car have (e.g. LSD, variable ratio steeting, four wheel steering, etc)?

I've always been curious how it would it do in the hands of a expert driver on the Ring, now I know. Well done, great to watch! 👍
I was only 18 when I got to drive one of these doing car detailing many years ago. Even to this day nothing has quite felt as cool to sit in as the LC500
I love that he took one of the out with the rear steer equipped. A lot of the time a youtuber takes one of these out it's missing that feature. It makes a big difference.
LC500 is probably the only GT that you don't need to worry about every time you turn the ignition on. Reliability, comfort, the beautiful V8 note - what else can one want?
Nice another 2UR-GSE on the channel. I know someone out there has got to have an RCF Track or Fuji Speedway and they need to give to Misha immediately.
I had a very similar situation to the one at 07:20. I was coming out of the same corner with a rental Golf VIII at quite some speed and just after the corner the entire track was full of cars literally standing because there was some car on the grass - I couldn't comprehend why all of them decided its a good idea to stop. Nothing bad happend I was able to slow down but still it was scary.
that crash was caused by 2 cars driving side by side at about 50mph, i was amongst a few cars that came round the corner at speed to be greeted by a blocked track, e36 had to take the grass and spun, luckily only just kissed the barrier but could’ve been a lot worse
the car was in comfort mode (which in all lexuses is called sport mode, confusing). The sport mode is actually called Sport+ and you need to move dial one more time, then it says Sport+ on screen, it firms up the suspension, makes shifts quicker.
Rad 🤩, Thanks Misha all us LC owners are happy that our baby got your seal of approval. A true testament to this Lexus GT and all the Lexus F-Sport team is capable of!
My dad just sold his LC500 for a DB11 AMR. I miss the Lexus so much! Is the DB11 sexier and does it get more comments? Sure. But the emotion of the Lexus was so unique. Also has a much better build quality and interior despite being 1/3 the price.
for sure an underrated car in everyway possible because its comfy luxurious but also can do track time sounds great looks unique reliable even here in Canada we don't see LC500 very often
The convertible version of this car is one of the prettiest most beautiful elegant cars I've ever seen in my life. Even the saloon is absolutely stunning.
I always liked these, the design, the overall build, modern rwd coupe, v8, just an awesome car. Deff more "special" then most of the European cars, dont rly see them around here. Imagine a manual gearbox swap or version, that would be a banger. I feel like lots of people will disagree, but it kinda gives off the more modern, C63 coupe vibes.
2UR-GSE One of the best V8's still in production today. Great power, amazing sound and Toyota reliability. The only weak point is that Toyota tunes the transmission very conservative and it doesn't let you be as aggressive as you would like.
My friends dad bought a lexus this year with the intent of it being his winter car but his miata needed some work so he got to enjoy a road trip and some town driving for a bit. The attention to detail and focus on the driver in these cars is amazing.
Very impressive considering it is not designed for or meant to be taken to the track at all. Having driven LC500 several times, it is very much driven towards comfort and long distance cruising. It is a luxury GT car that is 4400 lbs and very softly sprung, but driving makes a huge difference.
Update: 2024 lc500 Inspiration has a auxiliary transmission cooler to assist the main radiator now to keep temperatures safe. It was an option in Japan and can be added to cars that don't have it. Aka LC 500 and IS 500. The flaw is not having enough cooling for the transmission. See that oil temp getting high throughout the video? Savagegeese tried to make his lc500 into a track car with tires, camber, and brakes. A lap or two flat out is all it'll handle. It's a great car, not a track weapon of course. Running the transmission is sport mode will prevent the 18-23 year cars transmission fluid overheating. GS-F, RC-F, IS F-- because those can handle the track use and have a secondary auxiliary transmission cooler.
02:41 brought an epic smile to my face 😁 You can see he just realized the whole situation, so it seems. Sitting with Misha in an epic car, the Bilstein bridge...no...the whole track in front of him! Lets gooo🤩

You read me like a book!
I love when Misha is not taking and like 100% driving, I’m virtually feeling the car sliding and turning
its was not as fast some some cars hes driven but he was constantly haveing to maange traction loss , which makesit more fun, he had to stay focused
Nice to hear a fellow New Zealander in the video :D
Ahh glad you noticed!
I always love the genuine smiles and laughter of your passengers, Misha.
Oh and very good lap and nice machine.
Now we need a Lexus GS-F on the ring 😅
Nice another 2UR-GSE on the channel. I know someone out there has got to have an RCF Track or Fuji Speedway and they need to give to Misha immediately.
I’m a simple man. I see Lexus & Misha in the title, I click, I watch, I enjoy.
The 5.0 V8 on the LC500 is a masterpiece. It sounds so amazing!!!
Beautiful car, and superbly capable
Would love to see Misha drive a GSF.
It is basically the same. LC500 is based on that.
didnt know that AceVentura owns a Lexus. Cheers mate
I have been waiting for a while to have a LC500 featured on this channel
The car alone can make him smile but paired with Misha's driving in Nur made him smile the entire lap.
the car was in comfort mode (which in all lexuses is called sport mode, confusing). The sport mode is actually called Sport+ and you need to move dial one more time, then it says Sport+ on screen, it firms up the suspension, makes shifts quicker.
Unfortunately in sport+ the trans will throw a high temp alarm around halfway through the Nürburgring. Sport can do multiple laps thankfully.
THE MAN IS REALLY HAPPY, LIKE A KID!!! 🤗🤗🤗
Rad 🤩, Thanks Misha all us LC owners are happy that our baby got your seal of approval. A true testament to this Lexus GT and all the Lexus F-Sport team is capable of!
This with a manual and remapped to 8000 redline is all you need in life
Probably, yes. But those do not have a manual as an option.
My dad just sold his LC500 for a DB11 AMR. I miss the Lexus so much! Is the DB11 sexier and does it get more comments? Sure. But the emotion of the Lexus was so unique. Also has a much better build quality and interior despite being 1/3 the price.
Your turn to get the next iteration of the LC500 one day!
@ That’s the dream!
Worlds most underrated car. Reliable V8 luxury and incredible looks? Perfect.
it does cost minimum 123k€. thats not cheap, for that price there are quite a few other cars available
Only thing missing is a manual
I've been waiting for one of these to turn up close enough for me to have a test drive...for now this video will have to do 😄
That looks like a great car! Great sound, good grip, tight and fast gears and breaks looked great too. Great driving as usual!
for sure an underrated car in everyway possible because its comfy luxurious but also can do track time sounds great looks unique reliable even here in Canada we don't see LC500 very often
The convertible version of this car is one of the prettiest most beautiful elegant cars I've ever seen in my life. Even the saloon is absolutely stunning.
If this engine was paired with a lightweight chasis, it would be a bmw killer on the ring
Now thats a proper automobile
He kinda look like a brother or cousin to Sebastian Vettel
Like if Vettel and Alonso had a child
@@Bitterballin750 bruh 💀💀
@@Bitterballin750 lmao now I can't unsee it thanks
The car needs an oil change ASAP after this hot lap. The oil temp was in the sky
Is that a bloody VW Polo that follows them on the second half of the lap?
yes that is my waj mobile
@@tobyseaman6635 You had em in the corners honestly
@@tobyseaman6635Rocket!
@@tobyseaman6635
How much are you pushing lol?
Any max effort weight reduction?
The passenger facial expression are priceless 😂😂😂😂😂 was that his LC😂😂😂😂😂
Surprised the temps didnt move! seen reviews from savage geese showing overheats, still 100% my dream car
Oil temp was getting up there

Still within operable range
One of your best sounding videos
2UR-GSE One of the best V8's still in production today. Great power, amazing sound and Toyota reliability. The only weak point is that Toyota tunes the transmission very conservative and it doesn't let you be as aggressive as you would like.
My friends dad bought a lexus this year with the intent of it being his winter car but his miata needed some work so he got to enjoy a road trip and some town driving for a bit. The attention to detail and focus on the driver in these cars is amazing.
2UR-GSE, same engine as ISF, GSF and RCF ❤
and basically LS600.
@@TheS1PikesPeak Kinda, yeah?
@@ARentz07 yes, its a 2UR-GSE with other cams and other small modifications because the V8 in the hybrid Models run in Atkinson Mode.
And newest IS500 i guess
@@MCBek yes
Unlike the corvette this car doesn’t have a bad angle, get while you can
Very entertaining drive, thank you! The LC500 is the one car I would have over any other (if I could afford it!).
The owner's smile says it all...
What a machine! (In Jeremy Clarkson's voice).
1:26 Just look at the shape of that thing…. My God that car’s a work of art.
Very impressive considering it is not designed for or meant to be taken to the track at all. Having driven LC500 several times, it is very much driven towards comfort and long distance cruising. It is a luxury GT car that is 4400 lbs and very softly sprung, but driving makes a huge difference.
my favorite part of these laps is misha's post race analysis of the car. bro is an encyclopedia for vehicle dynamics
The street version of the Lexus GT3 race car that’s coming up soon gonna be a good one, and the most reliable super car
Imagine one of these with a lightweight interior, carbon roof, some light aero and a titanium exhaust. !!!!
This absolutely makes sense. LC500 is a luxury GT which wasn't really made for a racetrack stuff (maybe for occasional track sessions).
02:41 brought an epic smile to my face 😁 You can see he just realized the whole situation, so it seems. Sitting with Misha in an epic car, the Bilstein bridge...no...the whole track in front of him! Lets gooo🤩
Mate, you're right, that's exactly how I felt.
@charedj So awesome! Thanks for confirming. Feel happy for you🤜🏻🤛🏼
