同じくMVSシステムの「メタルスラッグ」と同様に、この時期には貴重なアクションゲーム作品。作品の大きな特徴は、通常プレイのロンリーウルフモードと、複数人でプレイするチームバトルモードが用意されている点である。チームバトルモードとは、8人のキャラクターから3人をセレクトし、好きなところでキャラクターをチェンジさせることができるというもの。ライフ、 アイテムは共有していないので、ライフが少なくなったら即チェンジ、体力回復のアイテムが出現したら元のプレイヤーを回復させるなど戦略的なプレイが可能である。

Shock Troopers pits the players against a mighty terrorist group who are holding a girl hostage, in order to force her grandfather to surrender a powerful drug which will enable the terrorists to control the minds of the grandfather's soldiers and create a huge, unstoppable army.
Shock Troopers is a multi-directional scrolling shoot-em-up for one or two players that builds upon the foundations laid by Capcom's 1985 classic, "Commando (Capcom)" and also borrows heavily from Commando's sequel, '"Mercs". As well as enemy troops, players must contend with tanks, choppers and assorted military vehicles, and must also be careful to avoid any of the landmines that litter the levels. Extra weapons and health can be picked up from destroyed enemy vehicles, as well as being found in enemy supply crates. Shock Troopers is effectively three games in one as players can chose one of three different routes; each made up of different levels. The game also offers greater variety of gameplay than other of the genre; with levels having the players travel on the back of fast moving vehicles, climbing a rock face etc.

There is also a sequel Shock Troopers 2nd Squad. Smaller amount of playable characters, and shorter length but in my opinion a more intense fight.

Can you do reveal any full secret in an arcade game, cuz i found in "knight of round" stage three to be example, if you at zero life the fruit item can change to 2up life and the treasure item can change to lvl up staff by some and same method

SNK released Shock Troopers, but it was SAURUS that produced the game. SNK at this time was only making fighting games.
Why didn't you pick up flamer and red diamond (or ruby)? They are harmful?

I'm positive this guy has no idea about 'bit', and any graphic settings associated with it.

The Neo Geo was advertised as 24 bit, because of his graphic processor data bus; but in reality its central processor was 16-bit, with some improvements to enhance it, and the ability to execute some 32-bit operations. It was a weird hardware.
