Such a pretty and unique location though, looks like you're on another planet with all that fog rolling in. And all that greenery in the same place too

Jet foil ferries are great! You can get a combo package of a jet foil ticket with a 3day, iirc) bus pass when going to Sado island. You can pick it up at Niigata
