I'm in Lake Havasu so if you're ever up in this area give me a shout out. Don't have any legs for it, loaned it to a "friend" and had to go pick it up. Guess he ran over them.

    I didn't know dry boxes were a thing. How does it compare to a wet sluice box?
    I did some gold mining north of Circle Alaska in my younger years. Normal sluice box with pond water as the source. I'm guessing the reason we don't use dry sluice boxes is that the dirt is moist. And in desert climates the dirt is dry so you can pull this off. Very cool, learned something new.

    • @IBRAKEFORBEDROCK
      @IBRAKEFORBEDROCK  Год назад +1

      Howdy , and thank you for watching !
      Yes , in environments when the ground is moist nearly, or all year round, a dry washer will not work. The best recovery method will be a wet system .
      However, here in the desert the Dry Washers Started being invented in the 1800`s and were wildly successful in most areas where the ground was dry and no water was available.
      Recovery with a dry washer is better on fine gold than a wet system, and it takes significantly less equipment and parts to operate. They use air to separate the heavy material from the lighter material.
