Bong Kiki they do learn and adapt. the problem is they breed like crazy and have to compete for food. if its really hungry it will still try eating a bit knowing it's a trap.

You should do Mouse trap Roulette. Set up a bunch of different traps in a big circle, drop a mouse in the middle and whoever guesses the trap that will catch the mouse wins.

You do know your traps. I've tried every diy trap of yours and they work fantastic. My personal favorite the rolling log. Easy to use and effective. Anyways thanks for the reviews on traps. It helps a LOT!

Should do a mousetrap tournament where ten different mouse traps are put in the barn and which ever trap/traps dont catch any in the night are out, until there is just one mousetrap left which is crowned the best

Most people watching this (Western, not including Australia) is watching it on Sunday. All of N and S America is watching on Sunday. Almost all of Europe and Africa as well. Only people it's Monday for are Russians, Asians, and Australians (minority of viewers).

This seems like something easy to build with PVC pipe/tubing. You can even scale it up for rats using a stronger bungee cord...

What I find great about this trap is that you can make it yourself from plastic pipe!

why not? they are animals, with that comes animal instincts, so if you have a cat that is outside and then a snake kills it, you want to rip the snake apart alive because the snake had animal instinct and saw a preditor to kill instead of a harmless pet cat?
If my cat got killed by a snake I would keep the snake as my new pet unless it was poisonous.

Shawn, thanks for showing this unique trap. I went to the website & checked prices. Of course if you buy in bulk, each is cheaper but two for $7 plus shipping is just a tad too rich just for the uniqueness! I took out my sack of med bottles I save for Doctors without boarders and took out a few that telescoped nicely. I'll try making my own for the fun!

I don't like this trap. I don't think it's very humane and it seems to take longer to kill the mouse.

It's like the 3D Printed Pretzel Prison, but better. Poop stays outside and bait can be smaller random size. Since the mouse is outside + dead, the ends don't need to be closed. Any pair of stiff, fitting cylinders will work. Going to try DIY.

After watching this guy's videos, i grow more and more scared of approaching peanut butter and eating it.
You could adapt it to be live catch! Move the bait and make it bigger and the doors shut but the mouse is all the way in.

That might be a plastic one that actually lasts a century. Just two parts that slide, not silly plastic hinges or other tiny weak plastic parts that take tons of force and friction.
Yeah, the one weak part is the rubber band which is easily replaceable -- well, if they still have rubber bands in a century.

My mom had some problems with a very smart rat in the past, she couldnt kill it, until the rat ate laxative chocolate that she left on the table, she found the rat the dead in the toilet, it died by drowing, Caused by despair by dehydration, after all the laxative proportion is enough to afect a human,this will cause a sever diarrhea to a rat or miece. Sorry for my bad english.
