Just yesterday a mouse trap I wanted sold for $3,650.00. Their are some mouse trap collectors on eBay with very deep pockets. I only win about 20% of the antique mouse traps I bid on. Prices are just crazy.

Well, he has said he likes to eat what he kills.
But with gloves.
You can cover the botfly hole with a fingertip blob of Vaseline and it will start to suffocate and back right out of there.
It's how we do it at the veterinary clinic where I work.
You don't have to cut the animal open or risk a subdermal rupture of the larvae. 👍

Here, I'll say it again, so the "actually..." guy, (that EVERYONE loves,) and all the other RUclips comment professors can comprehend;
(pay attention to context;)
If you use a fingertip blob of Vaseline to cover the entry hole, the botfly will begin to suffocate and within minutes back out of the animal.
Just enough to be able to get a firm grip with forceps or tweezers or even your fingers, enabling easier extraction.
That's only, of course, if you don't care about the potential of popping the maggot while it's still embedded, risking any number of contamination complications or infection.
And, if you would rather not cut the hole the larva made in your pet open even more, risking any number of complications including infection.
(Now, if that's still a problematic statement for you, It's YOUR issue. NOT mine. Try not to let it completely ruin your day!) ✌
