In summer time you can also try ice play. Basically take some small figurines and immerse them in water and freeze. Then give the kids these in a bin with a jug of warm water and various droppers, syringes and small cups etc. the aim is to free the figurines from the ice. Obviously this is an outdoor bin but they love it!
I am literally about to go to Dollar Tree. I am so excited about this! I don't even care about the mess, I'm just excited to give my toddler an outlet to explore and learn while it's too hot to be outside for long.
Love the ideas. 🥰 We also use shaving cream to make a “cloud” sensory bin. It’s a bit messy but my 5yo daughter loves it and keep her very entertained.😉
Love these!! I can’t wait to be able to make these for my girls! I might try the fruit loop or Cheerios one now. The others I will have to wait on cause they still put EVERYTHING in their mouths!
I'm here for it! My daughter is about 6 months younger than Riley, I believe, and I get so much info and ideas from you about toddlerhood. Thank you again and my vote is for more of these activity types of videos, please :)
My daughter just had her third baby and her 2 year old is having a hard time adjusting. So she asked me if I can help her make some sensory bins. This was a ton of help. I had some similar ideas, but grandma will be on a mission tomorrow morning. I raised 4 girls and if I had these. It would’ve been so helpful.
So I watched the whole video amd had to come back and leave another comment. These bins are awesome!! I will definitely be utilizing some of your ideas. Thank you!!
Your daughter was so cute peeking at the camera at the beginning! She looked so excited! Thank you for the video it was super helpful! I’m Trying to put together some sensory bins for my toddler to get her to engage in activities instead of just wanting her tablet all the time!
These are amazing!!!! I can't wait to try them once we move into the new house. We have lots of space to do things like this there. I've been looking for some highchair activities. My little guy is 18 months and he's really into puzzles and coloring. Do you have any items you love? I'm a first time mom and basically figuring it all out on my own while my husband works.
So excited about this! My 17 month has been playing with my homemade sensory bin (dry rice and sparkly pom poms from the Target craft section). But I’ve really been wanting to make more for her. Great ideas!
Everything was on point. I plan to use these ideas in my classroom (heading to Dollar Tree after work), but I'll have to come up with something to replace the fruit loops and living by the beach, I can go grab some sand, because living in FL, I will have a lot of uninvited guest. Also, I know your kids are older now, but they are so so cute!
Love love love this!!! Running to dollar tree ASAP!! Could you tell me what size those bins are that you used? They seem perfect! Not too big not too small!
I would love to try these :) I was just wondering how did the cereal last? Like do you replace it once a week or does it seem to be holding up? Have a lovely day ❤
Loved this so much. I used to do sensory bins and then it started to get overwhelming and I stopped. This has inspired me to do them again with my toddler!
I love your ideas. Just not sure about the sand and pebbles. Are they nontoxic? I used to work in a preschool and the sand we used was a specific brand that was made for children. We couldn’t buy any other brand.
