Thank you for these ideas. I let my 3 year old play in the sink yesterday with simple kitchen things. She couldn't stop playing after two hours! The funnel was her favorite. You're right, kids love water.
FINALLY a very practical collection of play ideas. Can’t thank you enough mama for making this ❤️ big giant hug from another mama who is currently struggling to keep a 13 month old busy
watching this as a big sister! ive always been like a little bay sitter since he was just a few months old! hes two now and im still watching him just as much
Sammmee! I have a ten month old and he just likes to chew on everything lol I actually made a video similar to this, but he seems only interested in putting his new toys in his mouth!
I did a similar thing as the kleenex boxes when my daughter was a baby... She used to be OBSESSED with pulling wipes out of the containers, like every single time she found one.. So i saved an plastic reusable wipe container, after it was empty, put letter stickers on the side that said "Arya's wipes", and my mom (who is a quilter) sewed a whole bunch of 5×5 inch pieces of scrap fabric together to make "wipes". She loved it, could play with it forever
I have no kidlets, though I’ve been a very big sister (13 yr difference) and an Auntie. I found you a few weeks ago, and I am throughly enjoying your channel! During this difficult time, it is wonderful to have upbeat, interesting content to take our minds off the world. Today’s video made me miss the nephews being tiny! Wonderfully creative ideas. Stay healthy!
Absolutely amazing video. Thank you so much. I struggle to be creative but crave creativity for me and my son. I love playing with him so that’s never the issue, coming up with safe and fun things for him to do is. This has been a blessing. Thank you!
My cousin is now 26 months old and I am 12. Meaning,There is a 10 year age gap between the two of us and a lot of times a actually babysit him together with my 10 year old sister. Whenever we do we like to play with new things he hasn’t tried before and teach him everyday things: for example we taught him how to brush his teeth, to pick up his toys, put trash into the trash can and so on. We needed some new ideas and when I looked at your video, it really helped a lot. Thanks a lot 🤍
Thank you so much for sharing all of this. I had no idea about the learning tower but this is awesome. My daughter is 17 months old and she always wants to be next to me doing kitchen activities so this is awesome. Thank you for taking the time to put this together.
My 2yr old son loves doing kitchen activities, we give him some tasks to try, washing, rinsing, drying. He loves it! Always good to follow their lead, later on they wont be offering! :')
I Love This!! THANK YOUU!! I have a 1 and 2 year old! I’m a SAHM so keeping babies entertained till daddy gets home is hard! But I love these ideas! With things I have at home! 😆 MORE PLEASE! 😀 Just Subscribed!
Thanks for sharing. Definitely some great n different ideas to do with my toddler. Love ur videos my son is 2 n loves getting surprises. So what I do is use any little toys or just little items around the house n put it in his surprise egg. He always has a blast n gets excited. Just like ur son, my toddler loves getting in empty boxes. Stay safe xoxo
These are all the different messy play ideas I’ve found and the recipes incase anyone wants them 🙂 hope you all have lots of fun doing these with the little ones 😊 Editable Sand 2X Boxes of Cheerios Liquified in blender Editable Jelly Make Jelly in Trays adding a toy in each layer let it set then repeat. So in the end you should see a good few toys through out the layers, that they’ve to get the toys. You can give them some toys you use with sand or gardening toys to dig into the jelly with Editable Play Dough 1/2 Cup Rice Cerel (Baby aisle) 1/2 Cup Corn starch 1/4 Cup Purée Apple Sauce 2 Tbs Vegetable oil Food Colouring Add the rice cerel and corn starch in a bowl. Then add the Apple Purée and Vegetsble oil and mix together. When Mixture becomes like dough you can start kneeling with your fingers and soon you’ll be able to pick it up and roll it into a ball until nice a smooth. Then to add colour divide it into half and put into lock sealed bag and add 5-15 drops of food colouring and squish and roll dough in bag until colour is mostly mixed in you can remove from bag and finish kneeding and rolling colour in until colour is evenly spread out Editable Paint 4 Tablespoons of Corn Flour 1cup boiling Water Put on stove until thick and sticky kind of like a paste. Separate into different bowls and add in 3-4 drops of food dye. Wait till cooled down Editable Finger Paint 1/2 Cup Corn Flour 3tbs sugar 2 Cups Water Pinch Salt Mix over low heat until think like paste and add 2-4 drops of food colouring DIY Cry Free Bubble Mixture 1/2 cup Baby Shampoo/ baby wash 2 cups Water 1/2 cup of hot water 1 tablespoon Sugar Spoon & bowl for mixing Mix together the baby gel/ wash with the cold water slowly, by bit trying to avoid getting any surface bubbles as this will make your mixture less affective. You then want to mix your sugar and hot water in a separate bowl (This step isn’t necessary but gives your bubbles more elasticity and less likely to pop as soon as you blow them). Mix the sugar & hot water with the bubble mixture gently to avoid getting any surface bubbles. (If you pour the mixture down the side of the bowl into the mixture it’ll prevent too many surface bubbles). Last of all mix both mixture together with a spoon. No Cry Bubble Mixture Baking Powder Corn Starch Glyobrine vegetable No Cry Shampoo/ Shower Gel Mix Ingredients together and let sit for one hour.
Hello! Wonderful encouragement and tips for young moms. I stayed at home with my baby boy ( now 24 - the years fly!) I am 60 and my "baby boy" has graduated college and is now teaching middle school English at the very school where he spent his K-12th grade years. Watching you play with Miles flooded me with memories of my days at home with Steven. One of my best memories is his jelly-faced mouth as we picnicked together in our backyard for the first time 1st time. You have a marvelous, funny, dry wit and I have chuckled so many times! Keep it up, Kelli. Signed:Hope-full in Hope, IN
Wow this video came in perfect time huh with the libraries and play centers it's been rough. And it kinda doesn't help that my son can't walk yet. But he's a toddler and into EVERYTHING but he's been so cranky lately. I needed to explore new activities for him. So thank you so much for this. That very last one, the tissue box is life changing lol
I love this video! I really appreciate the tips at the beginning. As a first time mum and having no experience with kids at all I sometimes struggle to get my son to play with things initially. But it's because I'm not showing him! I know that sounds bad but I'm reluctant to show him too much because I thought he'd always want to go first 😂 I thought he didn't like messy play but really I think it's just because don't always show him first! I also didn't realise about playing next to him rather than with him. Poor boy probably thinks I'm taking over 😂
Hi there, I really enjoyed your video I've been trying to find ways to play with my girl now that she's getting bigger so thank you for the tips. You offered some great ideas your little one is a cutie pie by the way my little girl is 15 months old, and she is super active, and she loves the sink as well lol we have so many boxes laying around from amazon and Walmart. So, I'm going to make her that playhouse plus we have tissue boxes too alrighty thanks again for sharing.
I’m helping my boyfriends coworker by watching his 3 boys for a couple of hours. On top of watching my 2 boys, (6, 4, 2, 1 and 9months.) thank you for the tips 💕
Omg thank u! This worked for my toddler thank you I'm very thankful I've been looking for some ideas to do for a while and Google and then on RUclips by far just got to be the best video I have ever watched out of thank you very much ❤️
Thank you. I like to read my book next to my 1 old baby. She sees me and she grab her toys and play next to me. I love that I can read book and she learn how to do idependent play. Not all my kids were like that, every kid is different, that's true.
I have a whole week planned 4 my boys. We have a few hrs of school in the morning snack oitside play come in lunch back 2 school then some sensory play or art
My daughter is 2 and she will play in the sink for an hour too. I turn the water on super slow stream so it takes a long time to fill up and she can play with the water coming out of the faucet and once it’s full she play with her cups and boats and stuff. She always wants to brush her teeth just because she knows she’ll get to use the sink when she does 😂
Omggg loveeed this video! Thank you so so much! I have 20month old and 1 week old.. its so hard to find things to entertain him. Loved allll the ideas deff incorporating many!
This is awesome! Thank you so much! Please do more videos like this especially as Miles gets older. My son is a few months younger so it’s perfect to reference!
Omg! Thank you so much! I was starting to feel lost but you putting this video out here it is gonna help me out so much! Thank you thank you thank you!
*Ain´t it crazy how much work it takes to make these type of video? And even more having that as your first video, lol. Cool ideas, I will for sure try some new ones with our little one.*
OMG! Miles is so adorable! Thank you for all the play suggestions. I have a newborn but will def save this video for when my Cameron gets older. Thanks again
My son is 26 months old and his new obsession is taking a small table and climbing up on the kitchen shelf and taking things out such as plastic containers or our snacks from the top cabinets and placing them around as he wishes or throw them on the floor, I let him go ahead because I'm there with him but I'm just curious what this new phase is and how's this helping his development, I believe anything he goes for naturally is a nee part of his learning and development so it must be good for him to do it and figure it out
These are some good ideas but idk what I’m doing wrong with my 14 month old but he’s crazy! I’ve tried several of these kind of activities and he always finds a way to either make them dangerous or after 10 minutes he gets bored and wants to do something else, like that little standing tower you used he would automatically try to climb over it there’s no way he would just stand there, the plastic bin he was interested for a minute but then climbed out of it and fell, he still puts everything in his mouth like excessively, I mean crazy!
What’s with the cryptic messages in the video? Have you turned Illuminati on us?
Hahhah so apparently my editing software was taking the day off during export 😂🙃🥴🙄
But First, Coffee totally understandable thanks for pinning my comment. Was joking about the Illuminati stuff in case it was lost in translation.
Lol
lol totally
Omg, here I am trying to understand it like it's an acronym. Lol
Thank you for these ideas. I let my 3 year old play in the sink yesterday with simple kitchen things. She couldn't stop playing after two hours! The funnel was her favorite. You're right, kids love water.
You’re amazing! Thank you for showing that you don’t have to buy expensive toys to stimulate, entertain or teach your children 😍
Try this as well

We do the kitchen thing too sometimes! Put a little bit of flour in a mixing bowl with a spoon for the kids while I’m cooking :)
The storage tote as a sensory bin to climb into-- GENIUS! might have to give that a whirl tomorrow! Thanks for the great content as always, Kallie!
