When Yunjin said "I want to change the idol industry" in her pre-debut trailer, she was not kidding around. This young woman's impact on future generations of kpop will be huge. I guarantee it.
Her enthusiasm is really to admire, but do you really think that one girl will change anything? In this multi-billion dollars industry, she will have zero impact. Yunjin is talented and brave and we all wish her the best, but she is fighting against a too "powerful enemy".
@@borntosurvey4919 obviously change will not happen overnight, and trying to change something as huge as this industry by yourself is next to impossible. What I meant with my comment is that she’s just at the beginning of her career, and she’s already using her popularity and platform to make those statements and start that legacy she wants to leave. Even if this song and it’s lyrics can start igniting those conversations about how we perceive idols or even make a toxic fan change their mind, I think that that is progress that should be recognized and appreciated. That’s what I meant.
It takes one person to change the world. Their have been many people who have changed this world in many ways.
@@ArdenAdams2125 I understand and i wish her all the best just like you. She is a real trooper for standing her ground. But often times conversations are only temporary. We live in fast times, almost everyday a new topic comes up, that will draw the attention from other importants topics. Often the new hair color of an idol or a new fashion trend is more important in the idol community, than health of these young people.
no point in being pessimistic or realist about it whichever word you prefer. it definitely will start conversations and even if we think its too much for one person to change, everyone who has ever single handedly changed anything didn't make the changes all by themselves but rather gave it the push and exposure it needed. She's doing the same, we'll never know how much impact it will have but isn't it always better to believe in someone trying to make a positive impact than think its unrealisitic?
Yunjin is so freaking brave for this, specially as a rookie. Although she may not change the kpop industry overnight you just have to applaud the little baby steps taken like this to help push kpop away from all of the negativity and toxicity. Even if only one toxic kpop fan takes these lyrics to heart and changes for the better, that's already a win in my book.

Military service will always be mandatory. Because Korea birth rate has drop in the last 40 years. And because they are still at war with nk.

When I saw the title I knew it would be a song like this, but I was pleasantly surprised by how straightforward the message is. She really didn't try to sugarcoat it at all and I'm proud of her for doing this. Like it really can't get more direct than "Idol doesn't mean your doll to fuck with"

This song makes me so emotional. I don't stan Le Sserafim. They caught my attention recently with "Antifragile". And I heard this song in an edit and instanly went to hear the whole song. Her voice is really beautiful and the message, the artwork... everything is amazing. Hope they will get all the attention they deserve cause it's clear that this girls are talented.

Love this!!! But sadly don't think a male K-pop idol would be allowed to make a song related to the issues they face. I don't understand why the Korean government cannot make exemption for male K-pop artists to serve in the military. It's such a small fraction of the population. But military is a sensitive issue, so I don't know.
Because over the last 40 years the birth rate has dropped. Plus the most important thing is that they are still at war with nk. So until that changes military service will still be mandatory.
