No cuz ever since yunjin has debuted SHE HAS BEEN E.A.T.I.N.G. Like she has not dissapointed me EVEN ONCE. I think my fav thing about her is that. The fact that whenever she’s on screen , she will never EVER EVER dissapoint me. Oh also the fact that she made a comment about lgbtq ppl and I’m bisexual so I love her even more. I can confidently say that Lesserfim have a very strong lineup and that they will always continue surprising us. Sakura and Chaewon had spectacular changes from IZ*ONE, Kazuha is continually improving (from Fearless to Antifragile was insane), Eunchae is growing up with the love of her unnies and then Yunjin. She is such a talented person with such confidence.

I loved Yunjin during Produce 48, and was very sad when she didnt make the final line-up for IZ*ONE. I am over the moon that she didn't give up, because clearly we and the industry NEED people like her who are not afraid to lead through change. She reminds me a lot of Soyeon from IDLE in that sense. We need these two incredible women!
I was a HUGE fan of IZ*ONE so when LE SSERAFIM debuted, I thought my bias was naturally going to be Chaewon or Sakura, but Yunjin said think twice cus I am coming! She is the type of person that I aspire to be every day.

YUNJIN IS FREAKING GENIUS!!!
A born artist and musician, truly the biggest gem out of this generation HYBE truly did hit jackpot with her.
Yunjin grew up in the US, she used to sing Opera and was a former Pledis trainee and participant on PRODUCE 48 (the reality show aired in 2018, formed the group IZ*ONE which her groupmates Chaewon and Sakura also IVE Yujin and Wonyoung were part of).
During the show she was eliminated before the final round and very criticized for according to netizens, being selfish in wanting the Main Vocal position in one of the performances they did. After the show was over, she went back to Pledis and kept training for 2 more years, when the pandemic stricked, she was thinking of giving up and going back to the US and starting college. Thankfully she was called again by HYBE after they bought Pledis and offered to join LE SSERAFIM. She still a rookie but just like most of her groupmates has a lot of baggage.
Their documentary is a must! I do think it is better than any guide you can find around there but if you also want one for additional info, fellow Reactor and Fearnot The Safe Cave has the most complete one to date.
I also recommend you to check their debut trailers cause they were very groundbreaking and Yunjin even mentioned in hers how she wants to change the idol industry (and is truly doing so).
Crazy shes going through a bunch of hate along with her group mates 18 months later. Like she already wrote a f*ck you to haters before she even debuted.
Jealousy at an all-time high is a great indicator of levels of success. And they are succeeding.

Yetti, i knew you would love her the second you reacted to her music. You both seem to be cut from a similar cloth - getting deep easily and caring a lot about meanings and messaging of lyrics. Yunjin was not in a group before (members Chaewon and Sakura were in I*zone - but she was on Produce 48, the show that created I*Zone, meaning her debuting with Le Sserafim reunited the three of them, which is really sweet.)

Yunjin was in the same survival show as izone but was eliminated before the top 20, she used to be a pledis trainee and pledis is very known for their talented artists who also are composers and songwriters (woozi from seventeen, baekho former Nu'est, Bumzu, Sungyeon/Shannon former pristin, etc. They are the ones often credited for writting songs not just for themselves and their groups but also other idols, however most have songwritting credits), however she moved companies on 2021 leaving pledis to join source music to be part of the lesserafim team.
Since debut she has been participating in songwriting and composing, having credits for this in Blue Flame, No Celestial, Impurities and Good Parts, added to the songwritting and composing credits she is also credited with producing in both her solo songs (the ones in the vid)
I dont know if you watched Produce 48, but at the time she had just 6 months of being a trainee, and she was a good singer already but in terms of dance she wasn't very good, however in the show its seen how she practices very hard and made significant progress in very short time, i recommend watching her pd48 perfomances "I Am" and "Into the new world"

Please watch their documentary "The World Is My Oyster", even if you do it in your own time i think you will understand where le sserafim's message and concept are coming from since it's basically their own stories in their songs. I think that's my favorite part of yunjin and also the whole group, just how real and genuine they are about making music knowing that they could've given up but didn't. Not a lot of groups have the same experience as le sserafim does as rookies and that's why i think they will be one of the leading groups for this generation and future ones to come.

I adore Le Sserafim, but I am continuously floored by her. She writes, composes, draws the artwork, sets a healthy example for the other girls, she's also trained as an opera singer. And she's only 21 international age, like I'm excited and afraid of what her career will look like.🤣
I've been sitting here for a minute pondering how to best describe and praise Yunjin.
Then i realized there is no need! She already speaks for herself louder than i ever could.
She wears her heart, her drive, honesty and humor right on the sleeve.

Her lyrics are so relatable and u can so clearly notice that it comes from her heart, shes pouring her mind and heart out into the music and its so rare to see that. I feel like as time moves on people will lose the context of Raise Your Glass but this was written in the heart of the debut scandal, when Yunjin watched people ruin a 16 year old girl’s dreams, boycotted their album, nearly put her back in the bin of rejection that she lived with for years in the industry.
It’s funny because she was in the survival show that formed iz-one where she was heavily criticized she was eliminated at the end and she spend 4 years training and trying to debut and when she was about to give up and go back to America hybe reached out. She was really a hidden gem and her years training helped her a lot to know what the industry is like plus being American and living in New York has something to do with her way of thinking. When you are born and raised in Corea I feel like things become more normalized but since she wasn’t she’s able to see more clearly the bad things about the industry. And not only is she self aware she’s also a part time comedian like she’s just bias material

yunjin has experienced being on a survival show produce 48 but has not been in a group before like the other members in le sserafim sakura and chaewon have in IZ*ONE. but she brings her korean american, opera background (strong vocals), ability to compose songs and make art, emotional intelligence like you said and relatability identity in her showcase of what she is capable of and i think that is what makes her stand out!

LOVE Yunjin, she is seriously so so talented. I highly recommend checking out Lee Munjin Service with Yunjin and also Chaewon (another member in Le Sserafim). She shows even more of her talent on that show and it really made me become a fan of her! Lee Munjin Service is talk show and music program where different guests come on and sing covers of songs, they also do a duet with the host Munjin, you can find it on RUclips!

You need to watch "LeeMujin Service". It displays her vocal talent, but the interview is so good. talks about how and why she came to Korea, a little about her song.
If you really want to see the bredth of her vocal ability you need to check out some predebut clips. When she was living in the US before she made the move to kpop Yunjin was training to be a frigging opera singer, and her voice is INSANE

Le Sserafim is a group of Very Talented girls. I don't blame the girls for anything that has happened and I HOPE they Continue to have Success.
I think that "some" of what Yun Jin felt about Garam is in "Raise y_our glass", as well as her girls and the rest of their journey.
Unfortunately I just can't get into the group due to what HYBE and Source Music did with Kim Garam... Doing just enough to make it look good, but basically throwing her under the bus. There treatment of their Idols is very bad, and that is saying something considering the industry.
But I try to stear clear of HYBE and it's subsidiaries(Source Music etc). Unless I was already into a Group/Idol before this. This was the last straw so to speak, the issue with HYBE et AL continue. As with the treatment of NewJeans (another group of Very Talented Girls), being highly sexualized.
I'm HOPING that YGE doesn't sexualizing Baby Monster like that... BUT I'm not holding my breath.

i really feel that Kim Garam is one of the inspiration behind her songs...Garam is a former member of Le serafim that got kick out. She's accused as a bully and a lot of people cyber bullied her because of it and the issue just wont die so the agency decided to cut her out. It's just sad cuz garam is young when she did the bullying they're saying but she just bully the real bully, she just protected her friend cuz the real bully filming her privately. And it's so sad that a lot of people judge easily.
I FEEL THE SAME !!! i got it from the beginning of the first verse when she said “it’s kinda shitty isn’t it, not the way we pictured it” (presumably) implying their debut with Garam’s scandal and lines 3-4 in the second verse: “And everybody’s talking shit, no bigger hypocrite it’s fine though” (possibly) referring to how people accused her of bullying saying that it’s wrong of her to do that but then proceed to cyberbully her anyway, justifying it by saying “she’s getting a taste of her own medicine” when we clearly did not get the full story of the situation, and tbh we still don’t have the full story 🙁
The next line, “My sister’s and I, we sympathise”, insinuates that during her (Garam) scandal, Yunjin understands how she feels since back when she was in Produce 48, having people bring you down for something that wasn’t entirely true. This was when MNet chose her to be evil edited, making people assume she was being greedy for the center of ITNW and thus lowering her rank and getting her sent back home ☹️ to me, she felt more desperate since she was more worried abt her rank falling at the time, since she was ranked 22nd, but she wouldn’t have asked for the center part over and over again if she knew she was gonna be in 10th place when they aired the episode 😕
And then the last part that I genuinely feel was more personal towards Garam was the bridge, “It took a while to get here, I’m fearless but I still fear…You’ll disappear, Cause I couldn’t be the person that you need, I won’t ever leave”. WITH ALL MY HEART, I feel that she wrote this specifically for Garam to let her know that she’s always on her side, even if she couldn’t do much, IF ANYTHING to subside the hate she was getting at the time and that she doesn’t want her to, in a light way, give in to the hate and do something serious iykwim 😕 I mean this whole verse speaks for itself (at least to me) 🤷🏽♀️
