Seoul Connection. You asked why, in Love Dive, the choreo seemed odd at the end, with one of the girls moving from the middle to the side. That's because a 6 person group is not easy to choreograph because there's no center. Groups are usually 4, 5, 7, or 9. Since there's no center with 6, you sometimes see just 5 girls at a time, with the 6th girl behind the center. There's no center for 4 either, but since it's just 4, you can get away with either not having a center by using a diamond formation. I hope this helps.
You're spot on with Wonyoung being a childstar, she was 13 on produce 48, won the show and debuted as the center of Iz*one at 14! When they disbanded in 2021, her and Yujin, one of the other girls from starship who also made it into iz*one, returned to the company and debuted with the other 4 members in IVE!

Before IVE debuted I was worried of a possible “Wonyoung/Yujin and Friends” situation, but every member held their own and had their stand out moments in Eleven. And have continued to do so. The stage presence and charisma exceeded my expectations especially from their 14 yr old maknae (now15) that shocked me.
It's getting better each comeback but let's not act like Eleven wasn't kind of Wonyoung Yujin (Liz) and friends. It was already better in Love dive and now it's starting to really become fair. Gaeul finally has lines where she can shine and Rei doesn't have the same line that she repats 2 times

The whole point of Starship sending Wonyoung and Yujin on Produce 48 was hoping they would make the debut group (which they did) and use their 2.5 years of hard work in Iz*one to promote their new group. Let's not act like Wonyoung and Yujin didn't spend 3 years of hard work promoting in Iz*one to get a few more lines and center time in Ive, and are a big part of the other Ive's members success.

IVE is actually one of the most promising groups that have debuted recently. If their company manages them right, then they might just go on to become one of the biggest girl groups out there. They're already on the way there with how much they've achieved in the short time since their debut. I also think that Starship entertainment is really smart for only giving them single albums so far with only 2 songs per album because the hype for a mini album or a full album builds with every release. I've never been more excited for a group other than Stray Kids until now the way I am for IVE.

Definitely (and by far) my favourite GG in recent years with such an unique identity. Blackpiink, Girls Generation and AOA will always be "on top" for me personally, but IVE gets surprisingly close. Love them! Starship has a gold mine on their hand with these girls and so far they're doing a good job building on that. My favorite title track from them is Love Dive btw. Might be SOTY 2022 for me.

@jakey Girls' Generation is and always will be "The Nations GG". ;) Of course I respect Twice and like some of their songs (Favorite: What Is Love) but they're not a favorite of mine and not in my top 5. Just a matter of personal taste, nothing against them. I prefer the ones I mentioned above or groups like Dreamcatcher, (G)I-DLE or Everglow. Of course Twice is one of the most important 3rd Gen groups besides Blackpink and Red Velvet. Similar to Girls Generation, 2NE1 and Wondergirls for 2nd Gen K-Pop. I wonder which will be the defining top 3 girl groups for 4th gen K-Pop when we look back on this gen

Oh I'm so happy you're discovering ive, I've just gotten into them after love dive, now I can see more of them here.
What really impressed me about ive was that they never overdo or overwhelming things in their mvs, choreography, visuals or vocals. They just do enough to make the songs good AND THAT IS SO ATTRACTIVE. I mean I like my mind getting blown but sometimes it's nice to listen to good songs that flow well, where everything else is centered on the song, they have a musicality element to their dance, their stage presence.
And I'm so happy you appreciated wonyoung, even tho she's not my bias(it's yujin) she gets far too much hate and not enough credit.
So far I think they're going with single album strategy so I think they might take some time off and release an EP in a few months. I'm excited for their future.

This is actually the case, at the age of 13, she took first place at the Produced 48, survival show, and debuted as the center of the IZONE, project group, which despite disbanding, is considered the most sold female group of the 4th generation till now (about 3 million sales in 2.5 years). Soon after disbandment, she and Yujin (she started the first chorus in eleven. they were together in Izone and they are in the same agency) debuted in IVE

2:59 and 4:52 are two former izone members! wonyoung and yujin respectively were izones maknae, yujin being an 03 liner and wonyoung an 04 liner! yujin became the leader for this group and shes such a great job, wonyoung is literally the it girl, koreas princess, im soso proud of both of them
wonyoung was also the center of izone! at only 14 she won the first place of produce 48, a survival show with 96 trainees and yujin got 5th place and she was only 15!
They are my second girl group that i really like apart from blackpink.

Haha yes! There are a lot of people on Twitter calling them mother and daughter. But I have to say, if you're going to react to 123 ive then you're probably not going to see much of the resemblance since the first season was recorded during pre debut and given that she is the leader of the group she had a lot of pressure on her, so she hadn't loosen up entirely, but now she is considered a gem of variety shows.

I understand where you’re coming from with the ‘I will survive’ sample and how it sounds almost the exact same however if you actually go back and listen to original and then listen to Ives they have actually changed it up and made it much more of a faster dance theme and I LOVE it and they added an 80s disco sound but also made it more modern and I think it really makes the song!
I felt the same way about “after like” I was so disappointed that they decided to keep the “I will survive” part so distinct. Especially since eleven and love dive was such a breakthrough hit. After like felt like another sampled song but after a few listens WOW. “After like” has so many things to like about it, I literally forget it has the sample. Ive really did it again. I’m not sure how they keep releasing hit after hit but wow

I'm honestly a whole multistan so I don't really care about loving a new group but somehow IVE is aggressively trying to steal my top spots💀 the amount of unexplainable bangers and stunning mvs they've had is too much for me. Calm down please😭😭
There’s no official positions in the group except the leader which is An Yujin former member of Iz*one. Imo, An Yujin might be the main dancer in the group since her dance abilities have been shown even during produce 48. The main vocalist might be Liz or Yujin also. Both of them have greater vocal techniques than the other members in the group. The centre position would be Wonyoung which also a former member of Iz*one alongside with Yujin. Her charisma and stage presence just like you said in the video is amazing. She can pull the audience easily to focus on her. The main rapper of the group might be gaeul or rei. Both of then are great rappers. Gaeul also could be the lead dancer. She dances very well too. And the maknae is Leeso which also could be the lead vocalist. And all of them could be the visuals. Ive is one the girl group in kpop that has outstanding visuals. And my personal biases in group have to be Yujin and Wonyoung and apparently I feel like gaeul also captures my attention during their recent comeback. Ive is definitely one of the most promising groups!

When I’ve debuted as all iz*one fans we were nervous that people would mostly support Yujin and wonyoung but dear god we didn’t expect such a powerhouse of members each with their distinct strengths liz with her vocals as sweet and smooth as honey, Leeseo with her cute adorable charm, rei with her unique singing/rapping voice, and gaeul with her powerful dancing, rapping, and singing. Ive has an amazing catalog of members that it’s hard to pick a favorite when every member can do it. What makes them even more special is their concept this Ive-phoria every song you listen to you feel transcendent carried away with their vocals, instrumentals, raps, visuals, Etc. I’ve have proved they are not just wonyoung and Yujin
