Almost 30 years later, and Val Kilmer’s performance still stands as one of the greatest character portrayals in cinematic history.
amen
Absolutely
Yes by all means.
You are correct Sir
I'll be your huckleberry!
Val Kilmer should've won an Oscar for his performance in this. Excellent role in an excellent film.
I agree
or at least nominated.
Val Kilmer and Michael Biehn. Two best perfomances in this movie.
Val Kilmer Best performance ever. He should have had an Oscar !! Loved this movie, and still watch it Every chance I get!!
Ridiculous how Kilmer didn't even get an Oscar nomination for this film.
KYExtemper that was because the producers thought it was a horrible movie and didn't even screen it for the critics. They were obviously very wrong. Great movie.
Cary Morin why was it terrible? Because the events were lose? Honestly I watched it just now and it’s alright. A lot of memorable lines and characters and very good for a story about real life events. Maybe the critics were expecting a huge battle marshals ca cowboys epic showdown 😒 but I loved it. Lotta symbolism and amazing performances
Agreed, one of the biggest robberies
LClassic15 one of the best performances I’ve ever seen
Kirk Douglas and Dennis Quaid were also excellent Doc Hollidays.
Will always be my all time favorite flick. Val Kilmer at his best , one helluva actor. This movie shows you how far friendship went in tough times.
Val Kilmer as Doc Holiday is still my favorite ever depiction of a role by an actor...
My dad has a VHS of this movie and he watches it every week. I think ive seen this movie over 20x since 2000. Such a good movie, very cinematic. He recently purchased the BluRay and its even better 💯
🤣🤣 my dad watches dances with wolves religiously
The Key is not only Blue Ray but a good quality flat screen television or monitor. As well as an audio system something that I had completely finished when the first Matrix came out. My son and I were able to go down into my sound room and the shooting scenes were absolutely amazing as we heard bullets going right past our ears. Subwoofers, Center Channel, speakers behind us, on the sides, in the front adds to the experience tremendously. I assembled the system on my own had it set up exactly the way I wanted it a lot of wattage loud and clear no distortion. House was rumbling from the subs the amount of surround sound speakers added to the effect like I've never heard before in anyone's home. Did not really spend that much cash as I had a large collection of audio equipment already I just had to set it up differently.
1:45 1:46
I hope it's good.
Great movie. Kilmer is unreal as Doc Holiday. No one will ever be able to do that part justice again.
How the hell did Val Kilmer not get an Oscar nomination for his role of Doc Holiday.
Loved Val Kilmer in this, and Kurt Russell's always great!
"Ain't none of you got the guts to play for blood!?"
"I'm yer huckleberry......and that's JUST my game."
Val Kilmer was fucking awesome in this movie..
Val Kilmer would have could have and should have won an Oscar for best supporting actor.
I agree. And a big thank you for using correct grammar and using "have"
Rather than the cringe worthy "of" that I am unfortunately seeing more and more of. Drives me crazy. 😕
30 years later and this is STILL my favorite movie. Nothing has come close. Not all the Avengers crap or Star Wars or any of that mess. This is one of the best movies ever made.
I am a woman, and I hate Westerns. But this movie I have watched numerous times. There is a little of everything in it, and Val Kilmer is phenomenal. He really should have gotten an Oscar for this film. He makes it enjoyable and fascinating with his wit, humor, and charisma. His lines are memorable. In vino veritas. Why Kate, you're not wearing a bustle! How lewd! Oh. Johnny, I apologize; I forgot you were there. You may go now. And you, music lover, you're next. I have 2 guns. One for each of you! Why, Johnny Ringo, you look like somebody just walked over your grave. Etc.
Same!!
and his coldest line just before killing Ringo he reply to Ringo saying I was just fooling around 'I wasn't '
Im your huckleberry
You forgot, "I'm your Huckleberry."
I never liked any westerns before this, and now it's only one of less than a handful that I like. Still, it is by far my favorite western, and one of my favorites overall.
RIP Bill Paxton and Powers Boothe. :(
Charlton Heston
@@arikemeiziii5549 just what i gonna say
I remember seeing this trailer in the theater and as they named off the cast, I was like I have to see this. I like all these actors and they're all in the same movie. Awesome stuff. So many names in this film. Even the characters that aren't on screen much.
Star studded to say the least.
I love this movie, and I don't think the trailer does it justice. Val stole the show, and I found it to be much more entertaining than the Costner version
You're right about this trailer. It's that lame, 90's-ified music they put on it. Doesn't match the tone, style or gravity of the movie at all.
I just watched it for the first time after reading your comment, and I agree. The trailer made it seem pretty blah, but it was good and Val's character is so weird and great!
Totally agree
I LOVE this movie!! Val Kilmer at his absolute best!!
U can say that 10x fast
Behold the REAL best picture of 1993!
featuring two remarkable performances in Kurt Russell and Val (how was I not nominated, for an Oscar?) Kilmer
Michael Biehn was excellent as Johnny Ringo as well
"Well That Escalated Quickly: the movie"
Best example of the supporting actor (Kilmer) stealing the entire movie and leaving everything behind in the dust
I can honestly say that this is the most awesome western movie with an all star cast of all time.
Favorite movie ever! Some of the quotes give me the chills every time I hear them. "Skin that smoke wagon and see what happens". Lol love it
Doc is was the best ever
Why, Johnny Ringo. looks like somebody just walked over your grave
“I swear to God. Law dog. You don’t set aside we will tear you apart”
“Alright. You die first get it? Your friend may get me in a rush but not before I make your head into a Canoe you understand me?”

This is the only western that never bored me, it hooks you from start to finish. Every single character is interesting and every scene is entertaining. Also, he’s supposed to be dying but Val is so damn fine in this movie 🤤🥵😂 honestly, he’s probably the reason I love it so much 10/10
Great film and excellently cast. Narrated by the great Robert Mitchum by then 75. I bought the DVD when it was first issued.
I went to Tombstone six months ago. It's about 25 miles off I-10, The first thing you see is Boot Hill to the left, as the road takes a ramp up to the town. I'll post my pics on my channel for anone to check out. It's amazing how the town is in the middle of nowhere (even after all these years) and they depend heavily on tourism. So go see them!
The Song in the second half with the drums is from Peter Gabriel - The Heat, it's an instrumental version used in the soundtrack to the film Birdy.
What is the first song name in this trailer ?
Goes down as one of my favorite movies of all time. I’m not even that big of a western fan.
One of my favorite movies!
One of the best westerns I have ever seen, together with The Outlaw Josey Wales and Chato's land.
Based on a true story, the story of Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday.
Also watch Gunfight at the OK Corral, and Hour of the gun.
Remember seeing this trailer with Cool Runnings.
Best western ever! Kurt and Val should have gotten Oscars!
It’s a great film but best western ever? If u think that u can’t have watched the Spaghetti western trilogy
One of the best movies of all time.
Oh my God... this is the best trailer I've ever seen. Except Don LaFontane forgot to mention Billy Zane
I just saw this movie recently, and it's really great, even the quality of the movie, lightning, and some scenes with the whole photography "picture" it's well made. The acting is super great also. Underrated movie.
I watched this when I was little all the time it was my grandpa's favorite.. up until now I had no idea Doc Holiday was played by Val Kilmer. I love this movie :)
my dad used to show me this movie when i was young awesome movie and i was named after wyatt earp lol
Cannot believe this isn't in our collection! Oversight fixed now :) We'll be watching it again by tomorrow!
This is by far one of the best westerns ever made since, Open Range in my opinion. I have not seen too many western but this one is amazing. Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday is amazing and Kurt Russell as Wyatt Earp is awesome one of Kurt Russell’s best performances. I loved the part in the movie where Virgil, well played by Sam Elliot who is taking the wives away on a train and The Cowboys(who are the bad guys) are there to kill them but Wyatt Stops them, this is after Morgan Earp their brother gets murdered, which also was played well by Bill Paxton and Wyatt Tells Ike Clanton who is like the right hand to the group to tell their boss Johnny Ringo that he is coming for them and hell is coming with him. Best scene in the whole movie and the other great scene is where Ringo shows off his gun-twirling skills to Doc in the gambling house and Doc does it right back to him with a flask or a bottle can’t remember, great scene. I thought the story was great, acting was great and the action as well. This is one of my top Ten Western films it is probably going to be at number One. If you have not seen this movie then I recommend you do. This movie is Cinematastic rating 5/5
Ummm.. Tombstone came out 10 years BEFORE Open Range 😂
The trying to out do eachother by Doc and Ringo really keeps a great tension throughout the entire film as to when will the fight between them actually occur. From drunk Ringo asking “does anyone have the guts to play for blood” to which Doc replies “im your huckleberry “; Ringo doing the amazing pistol tricks in the casino to being mocked by Doc w/ a metal shot cup; the Latin speaking scene, etc. Costner and others did all they could to make Tombstone not happen yet it came across as the better of the Wyatt Earp films. Its been a favorite of mine since it first came out and its amazing to me that people who dont even like westerns seem to love it.
Rewatching Tombstone and then listening to the Rewatchables Tombstone podcast that came out yesterday pairs excellently with some Christmas break afternoon whiskey.
"Say when".
This movie is one of my favorite movies of the 90's. I love the character of Doc Holliday, Val Kilmer is perfect in this role. Great cast and great, great movie.
"And Charlton Heston..." That name capping off that list of fantastic actors only meant one thing - I HAD to see this film.
2021 and still one of my favorite western flics
"I don't know Ike, maybe poker's not your game, I know, how about a spelling contest?" 😂
33 people aren't your huckleberry
54 now.
Dont worry it will just be them brainless kids of this generation who don't appreciate anything and most likely enjoy the Ghostbusters remake that flopped the box office who cares about them i love the movie either way.
39 people are poor souls that are too high strung.
Great doc Holliday
Charlton Heston is in this film. Like a boss but only for a few seconds. Incredible how they got all these people to act this in a time when westerns were basically 💩ing out
Charlton Heston as I didn't watch this movie in a number of years I completely forgot until I just researched the movie for someone and read the cast I forgot he was even in the movie
All legends cast.
there is nothing more awesome than the old west!
This is my favourite movie when I was child..even today..Haha
Best Western of the last 20 years
Truly a legendary film.
Faved for later viewing, thanks Bb :)
Alot of great actors, the movie and Val Kilmer should have gotten Oscars!!
What a movie I mean when you watch this movie in 2021 and you see it came out in 1993 you think to yourself how good is this?? but God damn what a movie this is on of the best movies I probably seen in my 20-year life living on this earth.. It has everything action, great actors, great plots But the best thing about this movie is the characters I mean look at Ike what a big mouth he was until trouble came Man this movie is probably an 11 I don't care about a 10 If you haven't seen this movie trust me you should see this immediately but I know most of adults in America have seen this movie because it's too good not to see it!!! what a movie.. Scarface, godfather, Goodfellas, avengers Infinity war none of them can touch this movie at all and I do mean at all..
It's a classic story about the OK Corral that's been around forever and a day.
I watched it many times didn't even realize or maybe I forgot as it's been a few years that Charlton Heston was in this movie that's really something.
Planet of the Apes, The Ten Commandments, what an actor.
I completely forgot Charlton Heston was in this. Did you?
That style of movie making in the early 90's was great.
This is my favorite western.
I am watching Tombstone right now February 22nd 2019 7:10 p.m.
cool story bro
Beautiful.
Val Kilmer OWNED this movie....
Best western ever! The stars all deserve Oscars. Russell ,Kilmer, Biehn
Great trailer!
I can’t to see this in theaters. I’m gonna watch the first night.
Michael Biehn! Most underrated actor in Hollywood!
Holy crap if I could grow a stache like that I'd rock it forever!
Rip bill paxon ture legend
Saw it in the theater when it was released and remember the 'against the tree' scene.
EPIC!
I'm glad to see fellow Enthusiasts!
I still say Kurt Russell would've made an ideal Han Solo.
I guess no one here could escape the rhythm of the heat...
I would definitely buy this movie Tombstone on Blu Ray for my Dad
Going to Tomestone tomorrow.. 2nd time. Everyone should visit Tomestone once in their life. At night when most have gone to sleep your really feel like its 1885.
I have been once, awesome place.
I go once to twice a year. I would live there if I could. I'm planning on going for Halloween
i love this movie but doc holiday is my favorite movie character of all time

Great movie. Great actors.
Excelent movie. is one of my favorite of all of times.
I saw some clips that never made it to this incredible film. I would love to see an extended version if one exists.
greatest western ever
val kilmer was awsome. he deserved an oscar
Bro, this guy's trailer voice is awesome.
One of the best western ever made. Must watch.
I haven't watched this film since seeing it on VHS a long long time ago and I have just ordered it on Blu Ray
I'm going to buy it on Blu Ray when it comes out in April.
The trailer does not do this movie justice! This movie is amazing!
Agree
How the fuck did Val Kilmer not even get nominated for an Oscar for this??? Fucking guy should have won!!!!!!
Val Kilmer steals the show - and should have gotten an Oscar nod, dammit - but the fact is that this entire cast is one of the best I've ever seen in a movie.
Pretty awesome that "The Heat" by Peter Gabriel was used at the end of this trailer. Film trailers then were a very different art form from today. It was all about the music and the Don LaFontaine-esque voice over.
Best Movie,,,, Ever!
Im From Tombstone =)
This trailer is so cool.
Who ever cut (edited) this trailer is an AWESOME job!!
yea, i love this movie!
This will always be one of the greatest films ever made.
It was awesome movie with brilliant actors: Kurt Russel, Michael Biehn, Sam Elliot, Bill Paxton and Val Kilmer
