For Hecate: the original trailer lists Hecate as one of its voice credits, so unless there's another character we could reasonably guess to be her, that identity is pretty 100% locked in.
Actually, the villain of the game is "Chronos," the personification of time, father of Chaos, and all things in Greek mythology. "Chronus" is an entirely different entity, the father of the most powerful Olympians and leader of the titans. Hades mentions that Chronos is "time itself" and then the ticking of a clock is heard. These are clear indicators that the villain is ChronOS, not ChronUS.
Supergiant are intentioanlly combining both Chronos and Cronus. From the FAQ for Hades II: "Chronos, the Titan of Time and the wicked father of Hades and his brothers, has escaped his imprisonment in the depths of the Underworld to wage war on Olympus." Don't get me wrong. I also get annoyed when people confuse the the figures but Supergiant seemed to have decided to intentionally combine them anyway.
@@MapleMissile For sure. The origin of most of these myths is sketchy at best, often there are multiple versions of the same story, completely switching up the characters for totally different ones. For instance, the origins of Zagreus and Melinoe both have tales stating that Zeus is their father, not Hades.
in the steam description it says "with the full might of olympus behind you" so safe to say we will still have support from them, also says "more than a dozen boons from olympian gods, from apollo to zeus" so i guess zeus will be making a reapperance
I need this game now. Hades 1 was the easiest 110 hrs and 100%. Well not easiest. But I couldn't stop playing till I had everything the game would give me. Hades tier 3 music was to good!
It’s also likely that Hera, Amphirite, Hephaestus and Hestia are gonna show up as boon givers. Also who wants to bet that Theseus dumped Asterius so he could get Pirithous back and that those two dynamic douches are the Elysium bosses with some tips from Asterius on how to beat them.
@@generalhorse493 I doubt they will reappear as bosses because Elysium is the first underworld area we go to Also because Theseus and Asterius are the best of bros
Pretty sure it is Chronos, as in Time Incarnate, and not Kronos/Cronus, the Titan father of Zeus. Since it says in the trailer he is no mere Titan but time itself and Kronos is not associated with time. They're often confused though due to their similar names, so maybe Supergiant combined them, but I didn't see anything in the trailer to indicate it was Kronos, but it definitely implied Chronos.

If i remember correctly didnt Hecate help Demetur when she was looking for Persephone? I know that a Cathonic Godess of magic did, if so it would be an interesting tie to Melenoe's family.
Pretty excited for the new hades, although I do wish the main character was a previous hero like Presious, or how awesome would it be to play as Achilles. Lowkey feel like if the majority of the player base is male, why not make it a male character lol, would've been a bit more exciting.

Doesnt the Percy Jackson series mix them as well?

Make a video of the possible new characters that we will have, Selene is almost certain to participate in the lunar trinity!🤗

4:16 yes yes, the pinacle of man beauty
If Chronos is the villian, there will probably be a timeloop thing that allows repeated play.
What Apollo is just? He skinned a man alive for losing a music battle!
Should’ve been a better musician
that is ovid problem. like ovid, alot of poets wrote wrong thing about olympus gods.
Sounds like a skill issue

What are you talking about kronos was the titan of time?
What evidence do you have to prove the kronos wasn't associated with time?

i am SO beyond hyped for this game bro.. i played through all of hades and unlocked everything in 5 days on my first playthrough 😭

Yes that was hecate. Also to my knowledge and I'm speaking as someone who worships the greek gods, it's spelled Demeter not Demetur
Can't wait for this. Hope it launches on all platforms at once this time as waiting an extra year to get it on PS5 was excruciating
Why do you pretend Hecate wasn't confirmed 3 months ago for your "theorizing"?
"Hades sister " The game
Fantastic video. Entertaining and informative.
Absolutely love the artwork
Imagine is Zagreus took over hades job while the man is imprisoned
Damn im just realising i learned most of this from playin the old god of war games

There is no "identify" as, you are either a male or female. and she is a female.

Should we not be represented too?
