Yes, please do videos on houses outside the US. From all that I've read about Madame de Pompadour, I suspect that had she lived in the later 20th century she would have been either a renowned decorator or the head of a luxury goods conglomerate. Excellent video
Vous insufflez une passion à faire visiter ce château qui est véritablement contagieuse. Il est réellement louable que vous usiez de la langue anglaise, permettant ainsi à une audience plus vaste de découvrir ce trésor français.
Yes, I loved the Chateau de Champs-sur-Marne. Keep bringing us beautiful and historical buildings from around the US but also the rest of the world as well.
Such breathtaking beautiful elegance!! From the chandeliers and stenciled ceilings to the beautiful marble & parquet floors. The well appointed furnishings and lovely sweeping staircases . Such beauty that I have dreamed of and adored in photographic books at the public library when I was as young and dreamed about what it would be like to be amongst such elegance and splendour. But of cours I am well into middle age years today and have a very minimalistic middle class plain apartment and modest furnishings. But a lady can dream ⭐️💯😊🌺🇨🇦🇨🇦🌸☀️
You did a great job as always. I know it is nothing you did but I found the costumes on mannequin’s distracting from the rooms instead of enhancing them. Your videos are always top notch and just enough information without to much to make it boring I would love to see more on important houses of the world, maybe focusing on the ones that get overlooked
My oh my! I LOVED seeing this house!! So incredibly decorated! And the mannequins with clothes of the era are so beautiful! Could you take us through La Petite Trianon in Versailles?
Wow the marble buffet is cool . and the picture on the wall over it is massive . This is such a different and great channel you have here . thx for posting
Love this video it's really well done thank you. Having been to hundreds of chateaus in France I can honestly say this is probably one of the most beautiful ones ever. It's one of those rare chateaus that you could actually live in it's not so big and it's not so small. Another spectacular chateau which you could actually live in is chateau Chenoncaux in the lower valley. And it's also known as The chateau of the Dames because it's owners were mostly women and mistresses of the king
Thanks to the subscriber who recommended this chateau!! I enjoy all your videos, and would be pleased to see other estates, mansions, chateaus, palaces, etc. outside of the U.S.
Please, more explorations of Grand European Homes! How about Chatsworth Hall in Devonshire sometime? Everything you post is always phenomenal, of course!
Recently found your channel, and love the videos! I've visited le Chateaude Champs-sur-Marne and it is more beautiful in person! Please do more French Chateaux - Vaux le Vicomte, Marly (and the Marly Machine!), St. Cloud, Sceaux. There is so much more than Versailles to explore!
Beautiful chateau and gardens. Not fond of the clothed mannequins, which cluttered the rooms, and also adultery. The video was a little bit too fast for me to keep up with, but still very interesting. Thank you
En France il y a plus de 40 000 châteaux vous pouvez le vérifier. Et oui la France est une brillante civilisation il n y a pas que la révolution dans son histoire.
French 💯 ! English Victorian "15" The French nail Chateaus, Goose Patte', Veal, Oysters Bienville, and Pastries. They had/have Class when it comes to their Style, interior and exterior, most appealing smooth walls painted in Cream, Soft Pinks, Yellows, Louie Blue, even their French Country Style is far more desirable over Victorian. This is a Beautiful Chateau. It just asks to be gazed upon and enjoyed.
I 💕 love this home! How do I know? It’s the first time I’ve called it “this home” instead of this house! As probably only Ken would know it’s only missing an offset turret topped with a cone. Damn the French for their style and grace, as to make me grovel for a blueprint! 🥰😚
Very interesting video. The house reminds me a bit of Carolands, the house built by George Pullman's daughter Harriet in California. I wonder if the architect of her house was familiar with this building and used it as inspiration??
Notwithstanding its historical importance and influence in design I feel Carolands is far better executed with its central stairs and skylight. Both are beautiful.
The outside facade and gates and the foyer remind me of the Beverley Hillbillies mansion. LOL I know that the house on the television show really does exist in California...but, I wonder if they based the California house on this chateau?
I always wonder where these souls live today. For all eternity their lavish life styles concluded in the earthly realm..........but where are they now? Are their eternal accommodations as lavish as they were in the earthly realm? My thought is they never concerned themselves w/ the afterlife......something to think about.
It's a beautiful house and history, but I'd stick to American (and rarely Canadian) houses. Two things that grow the THIS HOUSE trusted brand are 1.) "you"ness expertise including story and editing choices; and 2.) subjects themselves - reliably Americana. You dilute the specialness of your niche if you start touring houses abroad. Of course your job becomes more exciting if it takes you around the world, but the job you do here is done better than anyone else as far as I can see.
IT'S A WONDER THAT THIS PLACE SURVIVED AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FROM THE HELLISH FRENCH REVOLUTION, TO HITLER, AND ONLY GOD KNOWS WHAT ELSE, BUT AS MUCH AS I DESPISE THE REVOLUTION, THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE PRESERVED AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful home. Thank you for the video. Much appreciated.

Loved to see this chateau. Once in a while it’s a good idea to show other mansions, but still enjoy all the American houses.
Je suis d’accord.
I enjoy seeing beautiful houses wherever they are located. Thank you for your work, and thank you for sharing.
😮😮😮 Magnificent, I love French history ❤️
Lovely tour and history lesson.
Formidable!! ❤❤❤
would enjoy a video
of any grand house
Beautiful

This was a nice video, Ken. The elegance on display here is a display of not just wealth, but taste. Something Americans wouldn't really understand.
This is gorgeous! I would like a slightly smaller version for myself😂
Damn, the French knew how to decorate a house!
Yes, I loved the Chateau de Champs-sur-Marne. Keep bringing us beautiful and historical buildings from around the US but also the rest of the world as well.
Yes, I enjoyed seeing a mansion outside the US.
Beautiful... interesting to see the origins of the later Gilded Age mansions

One of the most visually stunning houses you've covered
Love the great houses of Europe. I have visited many in the UK, particularly those of Robert Adam.
En France il y a plus de 40 000 châteaux. Vous pouvez le vérifier. C est une grande civilisation.
Beautiful 👏👏

Love a Mansard roof!
The gardens are amazing, too!
My oh my! I LOVED seeing this house!! So incredibly decorated! And the mannequins with clothes of the era are so beautiful! Could you take us through La Petite Trianon in Versailles?
Simply fabulous château. Please do more château. The history is fascinating.
Loved seeing a home outside the US
Love seeing homes outside the US. This one was beautiful. Thank you so much.
Yes more houses outside the U.S. Great video as usual. Scrumptious house.
I had no idea Madame Pompadour had her own home that you can visit! I always figured she was tucked away in the palace somewhere. Absolutely stunning.
Ken what an insanely gorgeous jaw dropping home. Thank you .
This was epic! I loved this chateau!!!!
Loved it!😊
nap beautifully put Ken !!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
This is great for growing the channel. Definitely go global!
Yes! That was incredible. It is difficult to include so much architectural information, along with the history of the times. Genius. 😊 Merci.
I’m in favor of any house wherever in the world that is of interest …..you do a wonderful job bringing out the interesting!
Enjoyed the history and loved the house! Thank you for sharing 💜
Great presentation I have always learning about chateaus in France please continue to show this
I think most of us enjoy seeing mansions and unique houses regardless of which country they are in 😊
Absolutely beautiful, but those headless figures were creepy in the extreme.
isn't that normal❓
Guillotined?
I LOVED IT!!!! I also loved the period outfits
Loved it! It reminded me of my stays at Chateau du Courvoisier.
Amazing maison!
Thank you, as always.❤
“……..the 13 th lady in waiting…” heheheheheh.
i love your descriptions and word choices.
Loved it! Thank you.
Yes definitely..! Please, let's go International more often!🎉
Wow the marble buffet is cool . and the picture on the wall over it is massive .
This is such a different and great channel you have here . thx for posting
Amazing videos! Can you do one on Minneapolis or St. Paul in Minnesota??

Thoroughly enjoyed this Chateau! It is extremely beautiful! I wish I could live there! LoL
Definitely enjoy seeing historic European homes and chateaus.
Thank you for this! ❤
And , you’ve got the perfect narrators voice .
This was awesome! Do as many as you can!
Yes that was very cool! Would love to visit
Stunning. We’re visiting in November.
I really liked the split screen near the beginning, I wish you'd do that more. Although that mansion was beautiful, it was too fancy for me lol,.
Beautiful thank you
Please, more explorations of Grand European Homes! How about Chatsworth Hall in Devonshire sometime? Everything you post is always phenomenal, of course!
I loved it.
Great vid. thank you

It’s a glorious palace.
please, tour mansions and houses outside of the u.s.
love your channel!
Beautiful chateau and gardens. Not fond of the clothed mannequins, which cluttered the rooms, and also adultery. The video was a little bit too fast for me to keep up with, but still very interesting. Thank you
Exquisite.
Very good 👍
I wonder how this house survived the French Revolution without being destroyed like so many were.

Yes
Europeans dont tear everything down like we do. Hence they still have all of those beautiful buildings.
Very interesting video. The house reminds me a bit of Carolands, the house built by George Pullman's daughter Harriet in California. I wonder if the architect of her house was familiar with this building and used it as inspiration??
Wonderful observation! The arrangement of the facade is quite similar.
See that is the difference between worlds where one destroys buildings of architectural importance while the other treasures them!
I think the house is beautiful but I can only relate to the cottages with small gardens !!
Love
Notwithstanding its historical importance and influence in design I feel Carolands is far better executed with its central stairs and skylight. Both are beautiful.
I'd like to see a review for Halloween of the houses from the TV shows the Munsters and the Addams family.
❤❤

I find the free standing clothing creepy and distracting. It was difficult to focus on the room.
Nice, but I prefer the US homes.
Too sing-song. I can't listen to this.
Like the history! Perhaps show U.S. where in France on a map!
