He is the absolute the best . . . To bad he never the recognition that he deserved.. . I hope that he knows how much that his fans totally love him. . ..In my opinion he is a definitely a number one!
Love how Ricky "pulled" Jack closer as the camera started to zoom in and started to focus more on himself almost leaving Jack out of the shot. Classy move Ricky!
Ya... the last of the real symbols of traditional country music gentlemen. I'm like Merle, that trash out there today is horseshit. A bunch of clueless posers.
This gives me chills just listening to these two great voices on this fabulous song. I lived that song.....Jack still looked and sounded so good. There will never be another like either of these country crooners. The BEST !
It doesn't get any better than RVS and Jack is great too. These oldies are not just goodies but great. Ricky should never be forgotten. We need him and Jack back to sing real country.
It’s so sad how many good singers left country music because of “the business” controlling the music they would produce. It knocked the soul out of country music. Some were strong enough to fight it , Like Willie, but others just didn’t know how. What we’re left with is music that isn’t country. They should have their own genre, cause it ain’t country.
Ricky is one of the best singers Nashville ever saw...sad that today's "stars" don't realize it...Can't think of a current male vocalist who can touch his range or emotion...I spent twenty five years in Nashville area radio and worked around and knew a lot of the artists throughout the eighties...today's so called talent is nowhere close..
RVS absolutely fantastic, looks, sound, the whole package. From what l can gather ,beautiful, wonderful wife, Bettie. Good job Ricky. May GOD bless you both
Absolutely great! Love them both and the song is immortal! A timeless work of art that hopefully will be enjoyed forever. So sad that Nashville's "today's country music" isn't country, just loud garbled trash! "Today's country performers" could never do this song justice, imho! JS. Thank you so much for posting!
A great song, a great singer “Jack Greene “ and now Ricky Van Shelton!! Singing a beautiful song together, what a great tribute to Jack Greene an to this song !!!
It's Ricky🤩!l use to scream when heard his voice in my early life Jack both song 🐦🎶 Keep Rocking 🤙the good memories 👍 Beautiful person 🤗 The 🖖 continue with your creative energy 🐇🕊️🦅🇺🇲🗽🌹😉 💚🙏💜
This brings back so many memories of a time when country music was still very much like it used to be. I love the way that their voices blended perfectly together.
I Am Sitting Here Listening To This Song Statue OfA Fool Tears Are Rolling Down MY Face A very Sad Song Very Beautiful and Meaningful Words Thank You So Much ❤️
Any song 🎵that Ricky van Shelton sings wonderful to hear .I sure really truly honestly do give him a thumbs up 👍over 100 times ⏲️or more. They meaning the songs sounds terrific.
This makes me miss the old Nashville Network, old CMT (when they actually played videos), Nashville Tonight with Ralph Emery, Crook & Chase, Charlie Chase's Funny Business, all the Easter, Thanksgiving, & Christmas Specials that TNN used to show, NASCAR Racing, all the Country Music Awards show they used to show, j THE GRAND OLE OPRY on the weekends!!! Those were really some GREAT GREAT show that used to come on TNN!!! Really some GREAT memories of the 80s & 90s!!! MAN, I MISS ALL THAT!!! Much love from Mobile Alabama.
Randy Miller it was a Great time to be alive, and an enthusiast of all things country. I immersed myself in the whole scene after having divorced my wife of 18 1/2 years, and 3 children. She was going through some troubling times emotionally, and I didn't have the tolerance to endure the residuals of it At that time . I had no idea then that had I looked inward at myself, I would have related to this song at the time, and tried harder to save the marriage of two young, and very much in love people that were meant for each other. We had 3 beautiful daughters that we collectively let down, due to anger and stubborness. My point being In retrospect, I should have built.a statue of a fool, in my image, for not having the wisdom to see beyond the short term satisfaction of revenge, instead of recociliation. If hind sight were 20/20, I'd have been blind! We now realize our mistake, and are deeply in love , though still apart. This is my epitaph to myself.
Ricky Van Shelton has one of the most beautiful pitch perfect voices I have ever had the pleasure of listening to,I don't believe he has any peer.To me Dwight Yoakam is one of the greatest country music songwriters ever and Ricky Van Shelton hands down THE best singer ,and not just country he can sing anything..My 2 music idols forever..Love them both.
What an incredible performance of these two together. Jack even gave credit to Ricky's beautiful voice, by Jack's facial smile. Jack is my all time favorite, just an amazing artist.
I completely and totally agree with Bills comment this song should have been recorded and released to the public. I would have certainly purchased a couple or two. It's not ever day you have two great artists singing together celebrating a 20 year anniversary of a old massive hit song .
I think Ricky is as good or better than Jack green for Ricky has the voice to sing any song and make it a hit thank you for posting it.great job from both of them.thanks for posting It appreciated it very much
My late father and I both had this as a favorite and both sang it at karaokes and festivals. To the poster thank you once again for putting something up I knew existed for 25 years but could never find
I love Ricky paying tribute on this song to Jack. Looks like Jack sure appreciated the job Ricky did on the song also. Great harmony by both. One of the greatest country songs ever written.
That's what you call country music, not this stuff they play today!!!!!
Ricky Van Shelton was one of the greatest country singers of my lifetime. I wish he was still performing!
Are you related to a Joe Keener
No.
I agree 😊
What a voice and I wish he NEVER RETIRED FROM SINGING COUNTRY AND GOSPEL MUSIC..HE WASN'T BAD ON THE EYES EITHER!!!
REAL country music singers will NEVER be replaced by AI or bro country!
The irony of your post... since this song was written by a bro (David Ruffin) and country music gets its roots from bros.
I can’t hear this song enough. I love it. I wish Ricky was still singing.
Awesome thanks for posting ❤ ❤😊 !!++
Outstanding!!! Who the hell gave it thumbs down? Clearly NO taste in music!!
I'll be glad to tell you who gave this thumbs down...THOMAS RHETT, KANE BROWN, SAM HUNT, HUNTER HAYES, & FLA/GA LINE FANS...THAT'S WHO!!!
Absolutely, no taste whatsoever!!
Probably some loser that listens to Colt Ford
People who don’t have taste in music. Wonderful video.
nahhh it’s just something about david the way he would sings it makes it sound better and true sad… true pain
WOW! Thank God we have these recordings because they sure don't write or sing REAL country music like this anymore.
2023 and this never gets old!
Song is over 50 years old, Jack was a superstar of his day and Ricky never got credit for how great he was.
Great song. Are you Rick Hauk who worked at Chesterfield Va
@@johnfeatherstone7299 No Sir
@@rlh421 ok thanks.
He is the absolute the best . . . To bad he never the recognition that he deserved.. . I hope that he knows how much that his fans totally love him. . ..In my opinion he is a definitely a number one!

Two of Country Music's greatest male voices !!! RIP Jack & Ralph
Look at Jack Greene’s face as Ricky begins to sing.
Love how Ricky "pulled" Jack closer as the camera started to zoom in and started to focus more on himself almost leaving Jack out of the shot. Classy move Ricky!

It doesn't get any better than RVS and Jack is great too. These oldies are not just goodies but great. Ricky should never be forgotten. We need him and Jack back to sing real country.

That's real COUNTRY MUSIC. To bad it don't sound like COUNTRY MUSIC today.
Ricky van Shelton should be listed with the all time greats as well as Jack Green.

Truth! Ricky has one of the purest, most beautiful voices ever. I hope he’s enjoying life.
God I love this song. Hit the repeat button. If I was a millionaire I would give it to Ricky Van to sing just that one song. Have always been fan.
I forgot how much the women loved Ricky. You don’t hear them like that for anybody in country music these days.
