Written by Blaze Foley....one of my favorites. Saw him live in 1984 at the Outhouse in Austin. He crawled from under the pool table and got on stage to perform. Blew me away that night. I was recently divorced and missing my 4 year old daughter. Blaze's song is fantastic!

Christmas Eve I had one and in January 25 2006 I died putting in a storm stayed in a comma for a week .A year to the day my oldest son was murdered.He was only 21. It's a huge amount of pain my heart still beats but pain just won't go away . only Jesus know that I can make a difference or Thiers Hope all. all you can do is one day a time.love always be the light.

My brother kept listening to this song a few days before he suddenly passed away. Not sure if he knew something. But this was played at his funeral.
I just keep on listening for hours he is one the best country singer, Song writer's ever, and I love his voice so much.

Carolyn Bozeman I sorry to hear about your experience and know the pain of multiple deaths my dad fell over dead allow it work his heart in March 2005 . Christmas Eve I had one and in January 25 2006 I died putting in a storm stayed in a comma for a week .A year to the day my oldest son was murdered.He was only 21. It's a huge amount of pain my heart still beats but pain just won't go away . only Jesus know that I can make a difference or Thiers Hope all. all you can do is one day a time.love always be the light.
